Supersymmetric semi--infinite cohomology and $N = 2$ superconformal structures

We study supersymmetric semi-infinite cohomology and its $N = 2$ superconformal structure via the BRST reduction of an $N = {\frac{3}{2}}$ superconformal structure on the super-affine vertex algebra associated to a super Manin pair arising from the Kazama--Suzuki $N = 2$ condition. Moreover, we realize super coset models in terms of relative supersymmetric semi-infinite cohomology.

Universal $2$-parameter $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric $\mathcal{W}_{\infty}$-algebra

The universal $2$-parameter vertex algebra $\mathcal{W}_{\infty}$ of type $\mathcal{W}(2,3,\dots)$ is a classifying object for vertex algebras of type $\mathcal{W}(2,3,\dots,N)$ for some $N$; under mild hypotheses, all such vertex algebras arise as quotients of $\mathcal{W}_{\infty}$. In 2017, Gaiotto and Rapčák introduced a family of such vertex algebras called $Y$-algebras, and conjectured that they fall into groups of three that are mutually isomorphic. This is a common generalization of both Feigin-Frenkel duality and the coset realization of principal $\mathcal{W}$-algebras in type $A$, and was proven in 2021 for the simple $Y$-algebras (i.e., one label is zero) by the first and third authors. In this paper, we extend this entire story to the $\mathcal{N}=2$ superconformal setting. First, we prove the 2013 conjecture of Gaberdiel and Candu that there exists a universal $2$-parameter vertex algebra $\mathcal{W}^{\mathcal{N}=2}_{\infty}$ which is an extension of the $\mathcal{N}=2$ superconformal algebra, and has four additional generators in weights $i, i + \frac{1}{2}, i + \frac{1}{2}, i+1$, for each integer $i > 1$. This admits many $1$-parameter quotients which we call $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric $Y$-algebras, and we prove the dualities among these algebras which were conjectured in 2018 by Prochazka and Rapčák. A special case is the coset realization of the principal $\mathcal{W}$-algebra $\mathcal{W}^k(\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1|n})$ which was conjectured in 1992 by Ito. As a corollary, we obtain the strong rationality of $\mathcal{W}_k(\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1|n})$ for $k = -1 + \frac{1}{n+a+1}$ for all positive integers $n,a$, and we describe its module category. This generalizes Adamović's 1999 result on $\mathcal{N}=2$ minimal models, which is the case $n=1$.

Categorical Equivalences of Finite W-Superalgebras and Clifford Twists

Associated with an even nilpotent element $e$ in a basic classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$, we study, in full generality, two constructions of finite $W$-superalgebras, defined via Whittaker models and isotropic subspaces, respectively. We prove that both formulations are independent of the various choices made in their constructions, thereby yielding, for a fixed good grading for $e$, at most two isomorphism classes of $W$-superalgebras. In the case when there are two non-isomorphic versions, we establish that they differ precisely by a Clifford extension. Consequently, when the two $W$-superalgebras are non-isomorphic, their module categories are equivalent up to a Clifford twist. Building on this equivalence and utilizing the Skryabin equivalence, we classify their irreducible representations in terms of generalized Whittaker modules over $\mathfrak{g}$

Weak generators of W-algebras for type $A$

In this paper, we find weak generating sets for a classical W-algebra $\mathcal{W}^k(\mathfrak{g},f)$ when $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sl}_N$ or $\mathfrak{sl}_{N_1|N_2}$. Furthermore, observing the relation between quantum and classical W-algebras, we further derive crucial information about the weak generating sets of quantum W-algebras at generic levels.

Poisson structures of deformed $W$-algebras and classical $W$-algebras

In this paper, we explain how classical $W$-algebras can be obtained as limits of $q$-deformed $W$-algebras in type $A$. To this end, we give a detailed examination of the construction of deformed $W$-algebras via Hamiltonian reduction of deformed affine Poisson algebras. We first derive an affine Poisson vertex algebra (PVA) from the Poisson structure of the deformed affine Poisson algebra. This construction identifies a specific set of generators of the deformed $W$-algebra with generators of the classical $W$-algebra.

Generalized finite and affine $W$-algebras in type $A$

We construct a new family of affine $W$-algebras $W^k(λ,μ)$ parameterized by partitions $λ$ and $μ$ associated with the centralizers of nilpotent elements in $\mathfrak{gl}_N$. The new family unifies a few known classes of $W$-algebras. In particular, for the column-partition $λ$ we recover the affine $W$-algebras $W^k(\mathfrak{gl}_N,f)$ of Kac, Roan and Wakimoto, associated with nilpotent elements $f\in\mathfrak{gl}_N$ of type $μ$. Our construction is based on a version of the BRST complex of the quantum Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction. We show that the application of the Zhu functor to the vertex algebras $W^k(λ,μ)$ yields a family of generalized finite $W$-algebras $U(λ,μ)$ which we also describe independently as associative algebras.

Principal SUSY and nonSUSY W-algebras and their Zhu algebras

This paper consists of two parts. In the first part, we prove that when $\mathfrak{g}$ is a simple basic Lie superalgebra with a principal odd nilpotent element $f$, the W-algebra $W^k(\mathfrak{g}, F)$ for $F=-\frac{1}{2}[f,f]$ is isomorphic to the SUSY W-algebra $W^k(\bar{\mathfrak{g}},f)$ via screening operators, which implies the supersymmetry of $W^k(\mathfrak{g}, F)$. In the second part, we show that a finite SUSY W-algebra, which is a Hamiltonian reduction of $U(\widetilde{\mathfrak{g}})$ for the SUSY Takiff algebra $\widetilde{\mathfrak{g}}=\mathfrak{g}\otimes \wedge(θ)$ is isomorphic to the Zhu algebra of a SUSY W-algebra. As a corollary, we show that a finite SUSY principal W-algebra is isomorphic to a finite principal W-algebra.

Supersymmetries in the theory of W-algebras

Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a basic Lie superalgebra and $f$ be an odd nilpotent element in an $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$ subalgebra of $\mathfrak{g}$. We provide a mathematical proof of the statement that the W-algebra $W^k(\mathfrak{g},F)$ for $F=-\frac{1}{2}[f,f]$ is a vertex subalgebra of the SUSY W-algebra $W_{N=1}^k(\mathfrak{g},f)$, and that it commutes with all weight $\frac{1}{2}$ fields in $W_{N=1}^k(\mathfrak{g},f)$. Note that it has been long believed by physicists \cite{MadRag94}. In particular, when $f$ is a minimal nilpotent, we explicitly describe superfields which generate $W^k_{N=1}(\mathfrak{g},f)$ as a SUSY vertex algebra and their OPE relations in terms of the $N=1$ $Λ$-bracket introduced in \cite{HK07}. In the last part of this paper, we define $N=2,3$, and small or big $N=4$ SUSY vertex operator algebras as conformal extensions of $W^k_{N=1}(\mathfrak{sl}(2|1),f_{\text{min}})$, $W^k_{N=1}(\mathfrak{osp}(3|2),f_{\text{min}})$, $W^k_{N=1}(\mathfrak{psl}(2|2),f_{\text{min}})$, and $W^k_{N=1}(D(2,1;α)\oplus \mathbb{C},f_{\text{min}})$, respectively, for the minimal odd nilpotent $f_{\text{min}}$, and examine some examples.

Whittaker modules of central extensions of Takiff superalgebras and finite supersymmetric $W$-algebras

For a basic classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak s$, let $\mathfrak g$ be the central extension of the Takiff superalgebra $\mathfrak s\otimesΛ(θ)$, where $θ$ is an odd indeterminate. We study the category of $\mathfrak g$-Whittaker modules associated with a nilcharacter $χ$ of $\mathfrak g$ and show that it is equivalent to the category of $\mathfrak s$-Whittaker modules associated with a nilcharacter of $\mathfrak s$ determined by $χ$. In the case when $χ$ is regular, we obtain, as an application, an equivalence between the categories of modules over the supersymmetric finite $W$-algebras associated to the odd principal nilpotent element at non-critical levels and the category of the modules over the principal finite $W$-superalgebra associated to $\mathfrak s$. Here, a supersymmetric finite $W$-algebra is conjecturally the Zhu algebra of a supersymmetric affine $W$-algebra. This allows us to classify and construct irreducible representations of a principal finite supersymmetric $W$-algebra.

$N=2$ supersymmetric structures on classical $W$-algebras

We describe an $N=2$ supersymmetric Poisson vertex algebra structure of $N=1$ (resp. $N=0$) classical $W$-algebra associated with $\mathfrak{sl}(n+1|n)$ and the odd (resp. even) principal nilpotent element. This $N=2$ supersymmetric structure is connected to the principal $\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$-embedding in $\mathfrak{sl}(n+1|n)$ superalgebras, which are the only basic Lie superalgebras that admit such a principal embedding.

Integrable systems on rectangular $\mathcal{W}$-superalgebras via super Adler-type operators

In this paper, we introduce a class of super Adler-type operators associated with the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}(m|n)$. We show that these operators generate Poisson vertex superalgebras which are isomorphic to the classical $\mathcal{W}$-superalgebras associated with $\mathfrak{gl}(m|n)$ and some rectangular nilpotent elements. We use this isomorphism to construct integrable hierarchies on these rectangular $\mathcal{W}$-superalgebras.

Supersymmetric extension of universal enveloping vertex algebras

In this paper, we study the construction of the supersymmetric extensions of vertex algebras. In particular, for $N = n \in \mathbb{Z}_{+}$, we show the universal enveloping $N = n$ supersymmetric (SUSY) vertex algebra of an $N = n$ SUSY Lie conformal algebra can be extended to an $N = n' > n$ SUSY vertex algebra.

Dirac reductions and Classical W-algebras

In the first part of this paper, we generalize Dirac reduction to the extent of non-local Poisson vertex superalgebra and non-local SUSY Poisson vertex algebra cases. Next, we modify this reduction so that we explain the structures of classical W-superalgebras and SUSY classical W-algebras in terms of the modified Dirac reduction.

Twisted and folded Auslander-Reiten quivers and applications to the representation theory of quantum affine algebras

In this paper, we introduce twisted and folded AR-quivers of type $A_{2n+1}$, $D_{n+1}$, $E_6$ and $D_4$ associated to (triply) twisted Coxeter elements. Using the quivers of type $A_{2n+1}$ and $D_{n+1}$, we describe the denominator formulas and Dorey's rule for quantum affine algebras $U'_q(B^{(1)}_{n+1})$ and $U'_q(C^{(1)}_{n})$, which are important information of representation theory of quantum affine algebras. More precisely, we can read the denominator formulas for $U'_q(B^{(1)}_{n+1})$ (resp. $U'_q(C^{(1)}_{n})$) using certain statistics on any folded AR-quiver of type $A_{2n+1}$ (resp. $D_{n+1}$) and Dorey's rule for $U'_q(B^{(1)}_{n+1})$ (resp. $U'_q(C^{(1)}_{n})$) applying the notion of minimal pairs in a twisted AR-quiver. By adopting the same arguments, we propose the conjectural denominator formulas and Dorey's rule for $U'_q(F^{(1)}_{4})$ and $U'_q(G^{(1)}_{2})$.

Structures of (supersymmetric) classical W-algebras

In the first part of this paper, we discuss the classical W-algebra $\mathcal{W}(\mathfrak{g}, F)$ associated with a Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$ and the nilpotent element $F$ in an $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-triple. We find a generating set of $\mathcal{W}(\mathfrak{g}, F)$ and compute the Poisson brackets between them. In the second part, which is the main part of the paper, we discuss supersymmetric classical W-algebras. We introduce two different constructions of a supersymmetric classical W-algebra $\mathcal{W}(\mathfrak{g}, f)$ associated with a Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$ and an odd nilpotent element $f$ in a subalgebra isomorphic to $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$. The first construction is via the SUSY classical BRST complex and the second is via the SUSY Drinfeld-Sokolov Hamiltonian reduction. We show that these two methods give rise to isomorphic SUSY Poisson vertex algebras. As a supersymmetric analogue of the first part, we compute explicit generators and Poisson brackets between the generators.

Supersymmetric Bi-Hamiltonian Systems

We construct super Hamiltonian integrable systems within the theory of Supersymmetric Poisson vertex algebras (SUSY PVAs). We provide a powerful tool for the understanding of SUSY PVAs called the super master formula. We attach some Lie superalgebraic data to a generalized SUSY W-algebra and show that it is equipped with two compatible SUSY PVA brackets. We reformulate these brackets in terms of odd differential operators and obtain super bi-Hamiltonian hierarchies after performing a supersymmetric analog of the Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction on these operators. As an example, an integrable system is constructed from $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{osp}(2|2)$.

Supersymmetric W-algebras

We develop a general theory of $W$-algebras in the context of supersymmetric vertex algebras. We describe the structure of $W$-algebras associated with odd nilpotent elements of Lie superalgebras in terms of their free generating sets. As an application, we produce explicit free generators of the $W$-algebra associated with the odd principal nilpotent element of the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}(n+1|n).$

Classical affine W-superalgebras via generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov reductions and related integrable systems

The purpose of this article is to investigate relations between W-superalgebras and integrable super-Hamiltonian systems. To this end, we introduce the generalized Drinfel'd-Sokolov (D-S) reduction associated to a Lie superalgebra $g$ and its even nilpotent element $f$, and we find a new definition of the classical affine W-superalgebra $W(g,f,k)$ via the D-S reduction. This new construction allows us to find free generators of $W(g,f,k)$, as a differential superalgebra, and two independent Lie brackets on $W(g,f,k)/\partial W(g,f,k).$ Moreover, we describe super-Hamiltonian systems with the Poisson vertex algebras theory. A W-superalgebra with certain properties can be understood as an underlying differential superalgebra of a series of integrable super-Hamiltonian systems.
