Observational Signatures of Modified Bardeen Black Hole: Shadow and Strong Gravitational Lensing

This paper is devoted to studying the observational signatures modified by Bardeen black hole via shadow and strong lensing observations. Influence of the modified Bardeen black hole parameters q, g, and the parameter $μ$ on the shadow radius of the black hole have been investigated numerically and graphically. Recently, EHT collaboration observed the image and shadow of supermassive black holes $M87^*$ and $SgrA^*$ where the shadow angular diameter $θ_d=42\pm3$ for $M87^*$ and $θ_d=51.8\pm2.3$ for $SgrA^*$. The modified black hole parameters q and $μ$ for the fixed value of g have been constrained by the EHT collaboration data for the angular shadow diameter of $M87^*$ and $SgrA^*$. It has been observed that the constrain ranges of the parameters $μ$ and $q$ of modified Bardeen black hole as $-0.89\leq μ/8M^2 \leq 0.4$ and $0\leq |q|\leq 0.185$ for $M87^*$; and $-1.38\leq μ/8M^2 \leq 0.1$ and $0\leq |q|\leq 0.058$ for $SgrA^*$, keeping the fixed value $g/2M=0.2$. Modified Bardeen black holes with the additional parameters $μ$,$g$ and $q$ besides the mass M of the black hole as the supermassive black holes $M87^*$ and $SgrA^*$; and it is observed that to be a viable astrophysical black hole candidate. Furthermore, Gravitational lensing in the strong field limit for modified Bardeen black hole has been investigated numerically as well as graphically and compared to the other ordinary astrophysical black hole such as Schwarzschild ($μ=\&q=0$) and regular Bardeen ($μ=0$) black hole.

Strong Gravitational Lensing by Sgr A* and M87* Black Holes embedded in Dark Matter Halo exhibiting string cloud and quintessential field

We investigate the strong gravitational lensing phenomena caused by a black hole with a dark matter halo. In this study, we examine strong gravitational lensing with two significant dark matter models: the universal rotation curve model and the cold dark matter model. To do this, we first numerically estimate the strong lensing coefficients and strong deflection angles for both the universal rotation curve and cold dark matter models. It is observed that the deflection angle, denoted as $α_D$, increases with the parameter $α$ while holding the value of $γ\cdot 2M$ constant. Additionally, it increases with the parameter $γ\cdot 2M$ while keeping the value of $α$ constant. The strong deflection angle, $α_D$, for the black hole with a dark matter halo, with parameters $α=0$ and $γ\cdot 2M$, greatly enhances the gravitational bending effect and surpasses the corresponding case of the standard Schwarzschild black hole ($A=0, B=0, α=0, γ\cdot 2M=0$). Furthermore, we investigate the astrophysical consequences through strong gravitational lensing observations, using examples of various supermassive black holes such as $M87^{*}$ and $SgrA^{*}$ located at the centers of several galaxies. It is observed that black holes with dark matter halos can be quantitatively distinguished and characterized from the standard Schwarzschild black hole ($A=0, B=0, α=0, γ\cdot 2M=0$). The findings in our analysis suggest that observational tests for black holes influenced by dark matter halos are indeed feasible and viable.

Exploring Tidal Force Effects and Shadow Constraints for Schwarzschild-like Black Hole in Starobinsky-Bel-Robinson Gravity

The current manuscript deals with the tidal force effects, geodesic deviation, and shadow constraints of the Schwarzschild-like black hole theorised in Starobinsky-Bel-Robinson gravity exhibiting M-theory compactification. In the current analysis, we explore the radial and angular tidal force effects on a radially in-falling particle by the central black hole, which is located in this spacetime. We also numerically solve the geodesic deviation equation and study the variation of the geodesic separation vector with the radial coordinate for two nearby geodesics using suitable initial conditions. All the obtained results are tested for Sag A* and M87* by constraining the value of the stringy gravity parameter $β$ using the shadow data from the event horizon telescope observations. All the results are compared with Schwarzschild black hole spacetime. In our study, we found that both the radial and angular tidal forces experienced by a particle switch their initial behaviour and turn compressive and stretching, respectively, before reaching the event horizon. The geodesic deviation shows an oscillating trend as well for the chosen initial condition. For the constrained value of $β$, we see that the spacetime geometry generated by Sag A* and M87* is effectively same for both Schwarzschild and Starobinsky-Bel-Robinson black hole. Furthermore, we also calculated the angular diameter of the shadow in Starobinsky-Bel-Robinson black hole and compared with the Schwarzschild black hole. It is observed that the angular diameter of shadow for M87* and Sgr A* in Starobinsky-Bel-Robinson black hole is smaller than the Schwarzschild black hole. The calculated results satisfy the event horizon telescope observational constraints. Finally, we have concluding remarks.

Exploring Late-Time Cosmic Acceleration with EoS Parameterizations in Horava-Lifshitz Gravity via Baryon Acoustic Oscillations

In our study, we have adopted the framework of Horava-Lifshitz gravity to model the Universe's dark matter and dark energy components. Specifically, we have considered two recent parametrizations for dark energy models: the CBDRM-type and CADMM-type parameterizations. In our analysis, we have explicitly expressed the Hubble parameter, denoted as $H(z)$, for these two distinct dark energy models. By doing so, we have aimed to investigate and quantify the accelerated cosmic expansion rate characterizing the late-time Universe. Our study uses a wide range of datasets. This dataset consists of recent measurements of baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) collected over a period of twenty years with the Cosmic Chronometers (CC) dataset, Type Ia supernovae (SNIa) dataset, the Hubble diagram of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), quasars (Q), and the latest measurement of the Hubble constant (R22). Consequently, we present a crucial aspect of our study by plotting the $r_{d}$ vs. $H_{0}$ plane. In the context of the $Λ$CDM model, after incorporating all the datasets, including the R22 prior, we obtain the following results: $H_{0}$ = $71.674089 \pm 0.734089$ $km s^{-1} Mpc^{-1}$ and $r_d = 143.050380 Mpc \pm 3.702038$. For the CBDRM model, we find $H_{0}$ = $72.355058 \pm 1.004604$ $km s^{-1} Mpc^{-1}$ and $r_d = 144.835069 Mpc \pm 2.378848$. In the case of the CADMM model, our analysis yields $H_{0}$ = $72.347804 \pm 0.923328$ $km s^{-1} Mpc^{-1}$ and $r_d = 144.466836 Mpc \pm 4.288758$. We have conducted cosmographic analyses for both of the proposed parameterizations in comparison to the $Λ$CDM paradigm. Additionally, we have applied Diagnostic tests to investigate the evolution of both models. Finally, the Information Criteria test demonstrates that the $Λ$CDM model emerges as the preferred choice among the models we have considered.

Constraints on the Parameterized Deceleration Parameter in FLRW Universe

Confirmation of accelerated expansion of the universe probed the concept of dark energy theory, and since then, numerous models have been introduced to explain its origin and nature. The present work is based on reconstructing dark energy by parametrization of the deceleration parameter in the FRW universe filled with radiation, dark matter, and dark energy. We have chosen some well-motivated parametrized models 1-3 in an attempt to investigate the energy density in terms of deceleration parameters by estimating the cosmological parameters with the help of different observational datasets. Also, we have introduced a new model 4 for the parametrization of the deceleration parameter. Then we analyzed the cosmography parameters using the best-fit values of the parameters. Using the information criteria, we have examined the viability of the models.

Data Analysis of three parameter models of deceleration parameter in FRW Universe

Constraining the dark energy deceleration parameter is one of the fascinating topics in the recent cosmological paradigm. This work aims to reconstruct the dark energy using parametrization of the deceleration parameter in a flat FRW universe filled with radiation, dark energy, and pressure-less dark matter. Thus, we have considered four well-motivated parameterizations of q(z), which can provide the evolution scenario from the deceleration to acceleration phase of the Universe. We have evaluated the expression of the corresponding Hubble parameter of each parametrization by imposing it into the Friedmann equation. We have constrained the model parameter through H(z), Pantheon, and baryons acoustic oscillation (BOA) data. Next, we have estimated the best-fit values of the model parameters by using Monte Carlo Markov Chain (MCMC) technique and implementing H(z)+ BAO+SNe-Ia dataset. Then we analyzed the cosmographic parameter, such as deceleration, jerk, and snap parameters, graphically by employing the best-fit values of the model parameter. Moreover, we have analyzed statefinder and Om diagnostics parameters for each scenario to discriminate various dark energy models. Using the information criteria, the viability of the models have examined. In the end, we have analogized our outcomes with the standard ΛCDM model to examine the viability of our models

Shadows and Strong Gravitational Lensing by Van der Waals Black Hole in Homogeneous Plasma

In this paper, we first analyze the horizon structure of the Van der Waals(VdW) black hole and then investigate its shadow in the absence of a plasma medium as well as the presence of a homogeneous plasma medium. We find that both the Van der Waals parameters $a$ and $b$ have a significant effect on the shadow of the black hole. We also observe that the radius of the shadow in a homogeneous plasma medium decreases while parameter $σ=\frac{ω_p}{ω_{\infty}}$ ( the ratio of plasma frequency and photon frequency) increases and the radius of the shadow inhomogeneous plasma medium is larger than the vacuum medium. We also discuss the strong gravitational lensing in a homogeneous plasma medium. We observe that the photon sphere radius, deflection limit coefficients and deflection angle in the strong field are highly affected by the presence of a homogeneous plasma medium. We also find that the deflection angle in the strong field limit by the Van der Waals black hole with the homogeneous plasma is greater than that of the Vacuum medium. Further, we discuss the observables quantities angular position $θ_{\infty}$, separation $S$ and magnification $r_{mag}$ by taking the example of a supermassive black hole in the strong field limit with the effects of homogeneous plasma. It is concluded that the Van der Waals parameters $a$, $b$ and homogeneous plasma medium have a significant effect on both the shadows and strong gravitational lensing.

Condensed body mass accretion with DBI-essence dark energy and its reconstruction with f(Q) gravity

We have studied the reconstruction formalism of the DBI-essence dark energy scalar field model with the help of non-metricity of gravity or f(Q) gravity. The critical analysis has been done on the reconstructed model. The Black hole and Wormhole mass accretions have been studied with this reconstructed model. We have analyzed the validities of thermodynamic energy conditions. In our reconstructed model, we have assumed four types of singularity resolutions of scale factor and investigated the black hole and wormhole masses due to accretion of reconstructed dark energy. Diagrammatically, we have analyzed the nature of physical quantities with the kinetic and potential energies as well as the mass due to accretion in the reconstructed DBI-essence dark energy in the background of f(Q) gravity.

Modified Cosmic Chaplygin AdS Black Hole

In this paper, we construct a new charged AdS black hole with modified cosmic Chaplygin gas (MCCG). In comparison to the previous model (modified Chaplygin AdS black hole) existed in the literature, we now have two new parameters: the cosmic parameter and the black hole's electric charge. We examine the asymptotically charged AdS black hole thermodynamics with MCCG under the assumption of a negative cosmological constant as a thermodynamics pressure. Using MCCG, we developed a new solution to Einstein's AdS black hole field equations. The mass parameter, volume, electric potential, entropy, and temperature of the charged AdS black hole have all been computed. We also study the various energy conditions for the MCCG as a source fluid of AdS black hole. For some restrictions on the involved parameters, we show that these conditions are met. Then, we study the thermodynamical stability, critical points, and Joule-Thompson expansion for the back hole obtained. We reveal that while the existence of cosmic parameter yields to a complete stable mode, its absence gives rise to some unstable regions. Then, using MCCG, we treat the obtained black hole's thermodynamics as a heat engine and calculate the work done as well as the heat engine's maximum efficiency in the Carnot cycle. The work done, the efficiency, and the Rankine cycle's efficiency are also investigated. All of the findings are graphically depicted and discussed.

Reconstruction of DBI-essence dark energy with f(R) gravity and its effect on black hole and wormhole mass accretion

In this paper, we have used the reconstructed DBI-essence dark energy density to modify the mass accretions of black holes and wormholes. In general, the black hole mass accretion does not depend on the metric or local Einstein geometry. That is why we have used a generalized mechanism by reconstructing the DBI-essence dark energy reconstruction with f(R) gravity. We have used some particular forms of the scale factor to analyze the accretion phenomena. We have shown the effect of cosmic evolution in the proper time variation of black hole mass accretion. Finally, we have studied the validity of energy conditions and analyzed the type I - IV singularities for our reconstructed model.

Roles of Modified Chaplygin-Jacobi and Chaplygin-Abel Gases in FRW Universe

We have considered flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) model of the universe and reviewed the modified Chaplygin gas as the fluid source. Associated with the scalar field model, we have determined the Hubble parameter as a generating function in terms of the scalar field. Instead of hyperbolic function, we have taken Jacobi elliptic function and Abel function in the generating function and obtained modified Chaplygin-Jacobi gas (MCJG) and modified Chaplygin-Abel gas (MCAG) equation of states, respectively. Next, we have assumed that the universe filled in dark matter, radiation, and dark energy. The sources of dark energy candidates are assumed as MCJG and MCAG. We have constrained the model parameters by recent observational data analysis. Using $χ^{2}$ minimum test (maximum likelihood estimation), we have determined the best fit values of the model parameters by OHD+CMB+BAO+SNIa joint data analysis. To examine the viability of the MCJG and MCAG models, we have determined the values of the deviations of information criteria like $\triangle$AIC, $\triangle$BIC and $\triangle$DIC. The evolutions of cosmological and cosmographical parameters (like equation of state, deceleration, jerk, snap, lerk, statefinder, Om diagnostic) have been studied for our best fit values of model parameters. To check the classical stability of the models, we have examined the values of square speed of sound $v_{s}^{2}$ in the interval $(0,1)$ for expansion of the universe.

Holographic application in cosmology: Thermodynamics of the Van der Waals cosmic fluid

This paper is devoted to investigate the thermodynamic stability of a generic cosmological fluid known as Van der Waals fluid in the context of flat FRW universe. It is treated as a perfect fluid that obeys the equation of state $P=\frac{γρ}{1-βρ}-αρ^{2}, 0\leqγ<1$, where $ρ$ stands for energy density and $P$ stands for pressure of the fluid. In this regard, we discuss the behavior of physical parameters to analyze the evolution of the universe. We investigate whether the cosmological scenario fulfills the third law of thermodynamics using specific heat formalism. Next we discuss the thermal equation of state and by means of adiabatic, specific heat and isothermal conditions from classical thermodynamics we examine the thermal stability.

Anisotropic Multiverse with Varying $c$, $G$ and Study of Thermodynamics

We assume the anisotropic model of the Universe in the framework of varying speed of light $c$ and varying gravitational constant $G$ theories and study different types of singularities. For the singularity models, we write the scale factors in terms of cosmic time and found some conditions for possible singularities. For future singularities, we assume the forms of varying speed of light and varying gravitational constant. For regularizing big bang singularity, we assume two forms of scale factors: sine model and tangent model. For both the models, we examine the validity of null energy condition and strong energy condition. Start from the first law of thermodynamics, we study the thermodynamic behaviours of $n$ number of Universes (i.e., Multiverse) for (i) varying $c$, (ii) varying $G$ and (iii) both varying $c$ and $G$ models. We found the total entropies for all the cases in the anisotropic Multiverse model. We also found the nature of the Multiverse if total entropy is constant.

Thermodynamics of FRW Universe: Heat Engine

We assume the non-flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) Universe as a thermodynamical system. We assume the cosmological horizon as a inner trapping horizon which is treated as dynamical apparent horizon of FRW Universe. We write the dynamical apparent horizon radius and temperature on the apparent horizon. We assume that the fluid pressure as thermodynamical pressure of the system. Using Hayward's unified first law, Clausius relation and Friedmann equations with cosmological constant, we obtain the entropy on the apparent horizon. We assume that the cosmological constant provides the thermodynamic pressure of the system. We obtain the entropy, surface area, volume, temperature, Gibb's Helmholtz's free energies, specific heat capacity of the FRW Universe due to the thermodynamic system. We study the Joule-Thomson expansion of the FRW Universe and by evaluating the positive sign of Joule-Thomson coefficient, we determine that the FRW Universe obeys the cooling nature. We also find the inversion temperature and inversion pressure. Next we demonstrate the thermodynamical FRW Universe as heat engine. For Carnot cycle, we obtain the work done and the maximum efficiency. Also for new engine, we study the work done and its efficiency.

The General Class of Accelerating, Rotating and Charged Plebanski-Demianski Black Holes as Heat Engine

We first review the general class of accelerating, rotating and charged Plebanski-Demianski (PD) black holes in presence of cosmological constant, which includes the Kerr-Newman rotating black hole and the Taub-NUT spacetime. We assume that the thermodynamical pressure may be described by the negative cosmological constant and so the black hole represents anti-de Sitter (AdS) PD black hole. The thermodynamic quantities like surface area, entropy, volume, temperature, Gibb's and Helmholtz's free energies of the AdS PD black hole are obtained due to the thermodynamic system. Next we find the critical point and corresponding critical pressure, critical temperature and critical volume for AdS PD black hole. Due to the study of specific heat capacity, we obtain ${\cal C}_{V}=0$ and ${\cal C}_{P}\ge 0$. From this result, we conclude that the AdS PD black hole may be stable. We examine the Joule-Thomson expansion of PD black hole and by evaluating the sign of Joule-Thomson coefficient $μ$, we determine the heating and cooling nature of PD black hole. Putting $μ=0$, we find the inversion temperature. Next we study the heat engine for AdS PD black hole. In Carnot cycle, we obtain the work done and its maximum efficiency. Also we describe the work done and its efficiency for a new engine. Finally, we analyze the efficiency for the Rankine cycle in PD black hole heat engine.

Constructions of $f(R,G,\mathcal{T})$ Gravity from Some Expansions of the Universe

Here we propose the extended modified gravity theory named as $f(R,G,\mathcal{T})$ gravity where $R$ is the Ricci scalar, $G$ is the Gauss-Bonnet invariant and $\mathcal{T}$ is the trace of the stress-energy tensor. We derive the gravitational field equations in $f(R,G,\mathcal{T})$ gravity by taking least action principle. Next we construct the $f(R,G,\mathcal{T})$ in terms of $R$, $G$ and $\mathcal{T}$ in de Sitter as well as power law expansion. We also construct $f(R,G,\mathcal{T})$ if the expansion follows the finite time future singulary (big rip singularity). We investigate the energy conditions in this modified theory of gravity and examine the validities of all energy conditions. Finally, we analyze the stability of the constructed modified gravity.

Study on anisotropic strange stars in $f(\mathbb{T},\mathcal{T})$ gravity

In this work, we study the existence of strange star in the background of $f(\mathbb{T},\mathcal{T})$ gravity in the Einstein spacetime geometry, where $\mathbb{T}$ is the torsion tensor and $\mathcal{T}$ is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. The equations of motion are derived for anisotropic pressure within the spherically symmetric strange star. We explore the physical features like energy conditions, mass-radius relations, modified TOV equations, principal of causality, adiabatic index, redshift and stability analysis of our model. These features are realistic and appealing to further investigation of properties of compact objects in $f(\mathbb{T},\mathcal{T})$ gravity as well as their observational signatures.

Study of Anisotropic Compact Stars with Quintessence Field and Modified Chaplygin Gas in f(T) Gravity

In this work, we get an idea of the existence of compact stars in the background of f(T) modified gravity where T is a scalar torsion. We acquire the equations of motion using anisotropic property within the spherically compact star with electromagnetic field, quintessence field and modified Chaplygin gas in the framework of modified f(T) gravity. Then by matching condition, we derive the unknown constants of our model to obtain many physical quantities to give a sketch of its nature and also study anisotropic behavior, energy conditions and stability. Finally, we estimate the numerical values of mass, surface redshift etc from our model to compare with the observational data for different types of compact stars.
