FRW Cosmology with Variable G and Lambda

We have considered a cosmological model of the FRW universe with variable $G$ and $Λ$. The solutions have been obtained for flat model with particular form of cosmological constant. The cosmological parameters have also been obtained for dust, radiation and stiff matter. The statefinder parameters are analyzed and have shown that these depends only on $w$ and $ε$. Further the lookback time, proper distance, luminosity distance and angular diameter distance have also been calculated for our model.

Brans-Dicke Theory and Thermodynamical Laws on Apparent and Event Horizons

In this work, we have described the Brans-Dicke theory of gravity and given a particular solution by choosing a power law form of scalar field $ϕ$ and constant $ω$. If we assume first law and entropy formula on apparent horizon then we recover Friedmann equations. Next, assuming first law of thermodynamics, the validity conditions of GSL on event horizon are presented. Also without use first law, if we impose the entropy relation on the horizon, then we also obtain the condition of validity of GSL on event horizon. The validity of GSL completely depends on the model of BD scalar field solutions. We have justified that on the apparent horizon the two process are equivalent, but on the event horizon they are not equivalent. If first law is valid on the event horizon then GSL may be satisfied in BD solution, but if first law is not satisfied then GSL is not satisfied in BD solution. So first law always favours GSL on event horizon. In our effective approach, the first law and GSL is always satisfied in apparent horizon, which do not depend on BD theory of gravity.

Thermodynamical Laws in Horava-Lifshitz Gravity

In this work, we have investigated the validity of GSL of thermodynamics in a universe (open, closed and flat) governed by Ho$\check{\text r}$ava-Lifshitz gravity. If the universe contains barotropic fluid the corresponding solutions have been obtained. The validity of GSL have been examined by two approaches: (i) robust approach and (ii) effective approach. In robust approach, we have considered the universe contains only matter fluid and the effect of the gravitational sector of HL gravity was incorporated through the modified black hole entropy on the horizon. Effective approach is that all extra information of HL gravity into an effective dark energy fluid and so we consider the universe contains matter fluid plus this effective fluid. This approach is essentially same as the Einstein's gravity theory. The general prescription for validity of GSL have been discussed. Graphically we have shown that the GSL may be satisfied for open, closed and flat universe on the different horizons with different conditions.

Holographic Dark Energy Interacting with Two Fluids and Validity of Generalized Second Law of Thermodynamics

We have considered a cosmological model of holographic dark energy interacting with dark matter and another unknown component of dark energy of the universe. We have assumed two interaction terms $Q$ and $Q'$ in order to include the scenario in which the mutual interaction between the two principal components (i.e., holographic dark energy and dark matter) of the universe leads to some loss in other forms of cosmic constituents. Our model is valid for any sign of $Q$ and $Q'$. If $Q Q'$, then dark matter energy receives from dark energy and from the unknown component of dark energy. Observation suggests that dark energy decays into dark matter. Here we have presented a general prescription of a cosmological model of dark energy which imposes mutual interaction between holographic dark energy, dark matter and another fluid. We have obtained the equation of state for the holographic dark energy density which is interacting with dark matter and other unknown component of dark energy. Using first law of thermodynamics, we have obtained the entropies for holographic dark energy, dark matter and other component of dark energy, when holographic dark energy interacting with two fluids (i.e., dark matter and other component of dark energy). Also we have found the entropy at the horizon when the radius ($L$) of the event horizon measured on the sphere of the horizon. We have investigated the GSL of thermodynamics at the present time for the universe enveloped by this horizon. Finally, it has been obtained validity of GSL which implies some bounds on deceleration parameter $q$.

Interaction between DBI-essence and other Dark Energies

The present work considers interaction between DBI-essence and other candidates of dark energies like modified Chaplygin gas, hessence, tachyonic field, and new agegraphic dark energy. The potentials of the fields have been reconstructed under interaction and their evolutions have been viewed against cosmic time $t$ and scalar field $ϕ$. Equation of state parameters have also been obtained. The nature of potentials and the equation of state parameters of the dark energies have been found graphically in presence of interaction (both small and large interaction).

A New Variable Modified Chaplygin Gas Model Interacting with Scalar Field

In this letter we present a new form of the well known Chaplygin gas model by introducing inhomogeneity in the EOS. This model explains $ω=-1$ crossing. Also we have given a graphical representation of the model using $\{r,s\}$ parameters. We have also considered an interaction of this model with the scalar field by introducing a phenomenological coupling function and have shown that the potential decays with time.

Tachyonic field interacting with Scalar (Phantom) Field

In this letter, we have considered the universe is filled with the mixture of tachyonic field and scalar or phantom field. If the tachyonic field interacts with scalar or phantom field, the interaction term decays with time and the energy for scalar field is transferred to tachyonic field or the energy for phantom field is transferred to tachyonic field. The tachyonic field and scalar field potentials always decrease, but phantom field potential always increases.

Holographic Dark Energy Scenario and Variable Modified Chaplygin Gas

In this letter, we have considered that the universe is filled with normal matter and variable modified Chaplygin gas. Also we have considered the interaction between normal matter and variable modified Chaplygin gas in FRW universe. Then we have considered a correspondence between the holographic dark energy density and interacting variable modified Chaplygin gas energy density. Then we have reconstructed the potential of the scalar field which describes the variable modified Chaplygin cosmology.

Emergent Universe and Phantom Tachyon Model

In this work, I have considered that the universe is filled with normal matter and phantom field (or tachyonic field). If the universe is filled with scalar field, Ellis et al have shown that emergent scenario is possible only for $k=+1$ i.e. for closed universe and here I have shown that the emergent scenario is possible for closed universe if the universe contains normal tachyonic field. But for phantom field (or tachyonic field), the negative kinetic term can generate the emergent scenario for all values of $k ~(=0,\pm 1)$. From recently developed statefinder parameters, the behaviour of different stages of the evolution of the emergent universe have been studied. The static Einstein universe and the stability analysis have been briefly discussed for both phantom and tachyon models.

Role of Brans-Dicke Theory with or without self-interacting potential in cosmic acceleration

In this work we have studied the possibility of obtaining cosmic acceleration in Brans-Dicke theory with varying or constant $ω$ (Brans- Dicke parameter) and with or without self-interacting potential, the background fluid being barotropic fluid or Generalized Chaplygin Gas. Here we take the power law form of the scale factor and the scalar field. We show that accelerated expansion can also be achieved for high values of $ω$ for closed Universe.

Density Evolution in the New Modified Chaplygin Gas Model

In this paper, we have considered new modified Chaplygin gas (NMCG) model which interpolates between radiation at early stage and $Λ$CDM at late stage. This model is regarded as a unification of dark energy and dark matter (with general form of matter). We have derived the density parameters from the equation of motion for the interaction between dark energy and dark matter. Also we have studied the evolution of the various components of density parameters.

Role of Tachyonic Field in Accelerating Universe in Presence of Perfect Fluid

Recently tachyonic field has been depicted as dark energy model to represent the present acceleration of the Universe. In this paper we have considered mixture of tachyonic fluid with a perfect fluid. For this purpose we have considered barotropic fluid and Generalized Chaplygin gas(G.C.G.). We have considered a particular form of the scale factor. We have solved the equations of motion to get the exact solutions of the density, tachyonic potential and the tachyonic field. We have introduced a coupling term to show that the interaction decays with time. Also we have shown that the nature of the potentials vary so as the interaction term reduces the potential in both the cases.

Interaction between scalar field and ideal fluid with inhomogeneous equation of state

In this letter we study a model of interaction between the scalar field and an inhomogeneous ideal fluid. We have considered two forms of the ideal fluid and a power law expansion for the scale factor. We have solved the equations for the energy densities. Also we show that besides being a dark energy model to explain the cosmic acceleration, this model shows a decaying nature of the scalar field potential and the interaction parameter.

For certain choice of potential, we have found the exact solutions of the field equations. We have shown the decaying nature of potential. From recently developed statefinder parameters, we have investigated the role of tachyonic field in different stages of the evolution of the Universe.

In this work the junction conditions between the exterior Reissner-Nordstrom-Vaidya space-time with the interior quasi-spherical Szekeres space-time have been studied for analyzing gravitational collapse in the presence of a magneto-hydrodynamic fluid undergoing dissipation in the form of heat flow. We have discussed about the apparent horizon and have evaluated the time difference between the formation of apparent horizon and central singularity.

Generalized Cosmic Chaplygin Gas Model with or without Interaction

Recently developed Generalized Cosmic Chaplygin gas (GCCG) is studied as an unified model of dark matter and dark energy. To explain the recent accelerating phase, the Universe is assumed to have a mixture of radiation and GCCG. The mixture is considered for without or with interaction. Solutions are obtained for various choices of the parameters and trajectories in the plane of the statefinder parameters and presented graphically. For particular choice of interaction parameter, we have shown the role of statefinder parameters in various cases for the evolution of the Universe.

Variable Modified Chaplygin Gas and Accelerating Universe

In this letter, I have proposed a model of variable modified Chaplygin gas and shown its role in accelerating phase of the universe. I have shown that the equation of state of this model is valid from the radiation era to quiessence model. The graphical representations of statefinder parameters characterize different phase of evolution of the universe. All results presented in the letter concerns the case $k=0$.
