Chiral-odd structure of the $N \to Δ$ transition: tensor form factors from QCD light-cone sum rules

We report the first calculation of the tensor transition form factors of the $N \to Δ$ transition within QCD light-cone sum rules, and use them to construct the transverse multipole structure of this chiral-odd transition. The matrix element of the tensor current between the nucleon and $Δ$ states requires six independent Lorentz structures, a number fixed by the dimension of the parity-reduced helicity amplitude space and reproduced by the same counting in the electromagnetic, axial and gravitational $N \to Δ$ channels. The six form factors organize into transverse multipoles whose rank ceiling is the sum of the spin-transition rank and the rank of the probing operator. For a spin-$1/2$ target the ceiling is two, so the diagonal tensor sector and the electromagnetic $N \to Δ$ transition both stop at a quadrupole, whereas the chiral-odd transition reaches rank three. The resulting octupole has no counterpart in the diagonal matrix elements of the vector, axial-vector and tensor currents, nor in the electromagnetic transition. Each multipole is extracted from its own sum rule rather than by combining separately fitted form factors, improving the stability against the continuum threshold by an order of magnitude. Using nucleon distribution amplitudes for two sets of light-cone parameters, we obtain the monopole and dipole in both isospin channels and for both quark flavors, and the quadrupole in the isovector channel. The multipoles fall with rank, the dipole about half the monopole and the quadrupole about a fifth. A flavor decomposition sorts the form factors into two families according to whether the Lorentz structure they multiply contains a $γ$ matrix, and the transverse dipole is carried entirely by the $d$ quark. The results provide model-independent input for analyses of chiral-odd $N \to Δ$ transition GPDs, to be checked against lattice QCD.

Magnetic dipole moments as probes of doubly-bottom molecular pentaquarks

We investigate the magnetic dipole moments of doubly-bottom pentaquark states with spin-parities $J^P=\tfrac{1}{2}^-$ and $\tfrac{3}{2}^-$, interpreted as hadronic molecules in the $BΣ_b$, $BΣ_b^{*}$, and $B^{*}Σ_b$ configurations. The analysis is performed within the framework of QCD light-cone sum rules employing photon distribution amplitudes. Our results demonstrate a strong sensitivity of the magnetic dipole moments to the internal spin structure and quark composition of the states. In particular, the light-quark sector provides the dominant contribution in the $BΣ_b$ configuration, while the magnetic moment of $BΣ_b^{*}$ is largely governed by the heavy bottom quark. For the $B^{*}Σ_b$ molecular state, both light and heavy sectors contribute constructively, leading to a significantly enhanced magnetic dipole moment. These findings indicate that magnetic dipole moments constitute a sensitive probe of the internal structure of molecular-type doubly-bottom pentaquarks and provide testable predictions for future experimental studies.

Charting doubly strange hidden-charm pentaquarks: An electromagnetic mapping of spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ and $\frac{3}{2}$ states

We calculate the magnetic dipole moments of doubly strange hidden-charm pentaquark states with spin-parity $J^P = 1/2^-$ and $3/2^-$ using QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSR), presenting the first systematic LCSR investigation of the electromagnetic multipole structure in the $S = -2$ sector. To assess the model dependence, we employ independent interpolating currents in diquark-diquark-antiquark form, which probe different assumptions about the internal color-spin correlations. For the spin-$3/2$ states, we also compute the electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments. The magnetic dipole moments exhibit a considerable spread across currents, ranging from $-2.15\,μ_N$ to $5.74\,μ_N$ for spin-$1/2$ pentaquarks and from $-4.25\,μ_N$ to $-0.43\,μ_N$ for spin-$3/2$ states, reflecting the sensitivity of magnetic moments to the internal wave function. A quark-level decomposition reveals that the charm quark dominates in most configurations, while strange quarks play a decisive role only in currents favoring axial-vector diquark structures. The electric quadrupole moments lie between $-2.01\times10^{-2}$ fm$^2$ and $5.55\times10^{-2}$ fm$^2$, and the magnetic octupole moments are typically an order of magnitude smaller. The current dependence of the magnetic dipole moments provides a quantitative measure of the theoretical uncertainty arising from the choice of interpolating operator. The pronounced isospin sensitivity of $J^3_μ(x)$ across all three multipole moments arises from its axial-vector diquark structure, which isolates the light quark from spin averaging and allows the charge asymmetry $e_u/e_d = -2$ to propagate directly into the electromagnetic moments; the ratio $μ_u/μ_d = -2.00$ confirms this mechanism exactly. Our predictions offer benchmarks for future experiments and lattice QCD calculations, and may help discriminate among competing structural models.

Analytic electromagnetic signatures of compact pentaquark structure: A multi-current QCD light-cone sum rules analysis of the $P_{ψs}^Λ$ states

Probing the internal organization of hidden-charm pentaquarks -- including the spin-color correlations that distinguish compact diquark-diquark-antiquark configurations from loosely bound hadronic molecules -- requires observables beyond mass spectroscopy. We argue that multi-current QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSR) provide a diagnostic framework through exact analytic relations among flavor-sector contributions enforced by the algebra of the interpolating currents. We identify two such signatures: (i) the light-quark contributions satisfy $μ_{u}/μ_{d}=e_{u}/e_{d}=-2$ in all four currents considered, reflecting a common Lorentz-color kernel; and (ii) for the $J_{3}(x)$ current the charm contribution vanishes identically, $μ_{c}=0$, from the Dirac structure of the anti-charm coupling rather than the pseudoscalar charm-diquark embedding alone. Using four diquark-diquark-antiquark currents $J_{1}(x)$-$J_{4}(x)$ with $J^{P}=\tfrac{1}{2}^{-}$, we obtain $μ_{J_{1}}=-1.35^{+0.35}_{-0.28}\,μ_{N}$, $μ_{J_{2}}=3.14^{+0.65}_{-0.50}\,μ_{N}$, $μ_{J_{3}}=1.01^{+0.25}_{-0.20}\,μ_{N}$, $μ_{J_{4}}=-1.79^{+0.41}_{-0.34}\,μ_{N}$. These predictions are paired with the $P_{ψs}^Λ(4338)$ and $P_{ψs}^Λ(4459)$ on mass grounds as a working hypothesis, since the $\pm 0.11~\text{GeV}$ uncertainties accommodate either state within $1σ$ of all four currents. The magnitudes $|μ|\sim 1$-$3\,μ_{N}$ lie above quark-model and heavy pentaquark chiral perturbation theory expectations ($|μ|\lesssim 0.5\,μ_{N}$). Applying the same procedure to two previous molecular LCSR analyses yields $μ_{u}/μ_{d}=-1/2$ rather than $-2$, providing an LCSR-internal contrast at the flavor-decomposed level even when total magnitudes are comparable. The two signatures are immune to the state-to-current pairing and offer falsifiable tests of the compact picture.

Electromagnetic form factors: A window into the $DΛ_c$, $D^*Λ_c$, and $DΛ_c^*$ molecular structure

The internal structure of exotic hadrons remains one of the most compelling puzzles in strong interaction physics. In this work, we provide crucial insights into the nature of doubly-charmed pentaquarks by investigating their electromagnetic properties. Using QCD light-cone sum rules, we present the first comprehensive calculation of the magnetic dipole moments of $DΛ_c$, $D^*Λ_c$, and $DΛ_c^*$ molecular pentaquarks with $J^P = \frac{1}{2}^-$, $\frac{3}{2}^-$, and $\frac{3}{2}^-$, respectively. Our analysis reveals a striking hierarchy of magnetic moments: $μ_{DΛ_c^*} > μ_{D^*Λ_c} > μ_{DΛ_c}$, driven by distinct quark-level mechanisms. While light quarks dominate the overall response, we find that charm quark contributions become strategically important when light quark contributions partially cancel. Beyond dipole moments, we predict higher multipoles--electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments--for the spin-$3/2$ $D^*Λ_c$ and $DΛ_c^*$ states, which fingerprint the spatial deformation of these configurations, revealing prolate versus oblate charge distributions. These results provide the first systematic predictions for electromagnetic moments of molecular pentaquark configurations, establishing essential benchmarks for future theoretical and experimental studies. By systematically comparing our predictions with both compact doubly-charmed and hidden-charm pentaquark configurations, we establish robust benchmarks that discriminate between competing structural models, ultimately resolving the nature of doubly-charmed exotic hadrons.

Structural dissection of hadronic molecules: The $D^{(*)}\bar{K}^{(*)}$ family under QCD light-cone sum rules

We investigate the static electromagnetic properties of three charm--strange molecular tetraquark candidates with quantum numbers $J^{P}=1^{+}$, namely the $D\bar{K}^{\ast}$, $D^{\ast}\bar{K}$, and $D^{\ast}\bar{K}^{\ast}$ systems. The analysis is carried out within the framework of QCD light-cone sum rules, using interpolating currents constructed from colour-singlet meson bilinears to reflect their molecular configurations. Both perturbative and non-perturbative photon contributions are included, and numerical predictions for the magnetic and electric quadrupole moments are obtained. The magnetic moments are found to lie in the range $1$--$3$ nuclear magnetons, with the largest value associated with the $D^{*}\bar{K}$ configuration. The quadrupole moments are an order of magnitude smaller, of order $10^{-3}\,\mathrm{fm}^{2}$, indicating only weak deviations from spherical charge distributions. A flavour decomposition shows that the magnetic response is dominated by the light quarks, while the charm-quark contribution is strongly suppressed, a feature naturally expected for loosely bound hadronic molecules. The present analysis extends QCD light-cone sum-rule studies of exotic hadrons by providing a systematic determination of the electromagnetic moments of the $D^{(\ast)}\bar K^{(\ast)}$ molecular systems. These results provide quantitative benchmarks that may help discriminate between molecular configurations and more compact multiquark interpretations and may offer useful guidance for future experimental studies of electromagnetic signatures of charm--strange exotic states.

Deciphering the nature of $P^Σ_{ψs}$ pentaquarks in the light of their electromagnetic multipole moments

We calculate electromagnetic multipole moments of $Σ$-type strange hidden-charm pentaquarks $P^Σ_{ψs}$ (isospin triplet $Σ^+,Σ^0,Σ^-$) using QCD light-cone sum rules, with six (spin-1/2) and seven (spin-3/2) interpolating currents built from diquark-diquark-antiquark operators. We compute magnetic dipole $μ$ for all channels and, for spin-3/2, electric quadrupole ${\cal Q}$ and magnetic octupole ${\cal O}$ moments (first computation), and give the first quark-flavor decomposition. Scalar diquark currents yield charm-dominated, flavor-insensitive moments ($μ\in[-1.92,-1.21]μ_N$ for spin-1/2, $|μ|\lesssim1.2μ_N$ for spin-3/2), consistent with heavy-quark spin symmetry. Axial-vector diquark currents produce larger, flavor-sensitive moments with sign reversals governed by $e_u/e_d=-2$. For ${\cal Q}$, scalar-diquark currents give oblate deformations ($Q_0\approx-2.0\times10^{-2}{\rm fm}^2$) dominated by charm, while two-axial-vector-diquark currents predict prolate values up to $Q_0=+8.0\times10^{-2}{\rm fm}^2$, with sign reversal for $[su][uc]\bar{c}$ in two currents. Currents with scalar antiquark coupling yield a topology-independent octupole ${\cal O}\approx-0.25\times10^{-3}{\rm fm}^3$, a lattice QCD benchmark. Comparison with constituent quark models identifies four discriminants: $|μ|\gtrsim3μ_N$ in spin-1/2; sign of $μ$ for $[su][uc]\bar{c}$ in spin-3/2; non-zero ${\cal Q}$ (vanishes in $S$-wave molecules); and the ${\cal Q}$-${\cal O}$ sign correlation, probing $1/m_q$ weighting.

Electromagnetic tomography of spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ hidden-charm strange pentaquarks

Understanding how quarks are spatially arranged inside exotic pentaquarks remains one of the key open problems in contemporary hadron spectroscopy. The electromagnetic multipole moments of hadrons provide a direct probe of their internal quark--gluon geometry and spatial charge distributions. Motivated by this, we employ QCD light-cone sum rules to compute the magnetic dipole, electric quadrupole, and magnetic octupole moments of the $J^P = 3/2^-$ pentaquark with strangeness $S = -1$. Five distinct diquark--diquark--antiquark interpolating currents are constructed to explore possible internal configurations. The resulting electromagnetic moments exhibit pronounced sensitivity to the underlying quark arrangement: magnetic dipole moments range from $-2.28μ_N$ to $+3.36μ_N$, establishing this observable as a key discriminator among configurations with identical quantum numbers. Nonzero electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments indicate clear deviations from spherical symmetry, while a detailed decomposition shows that light quarks dominate the magnetic response and the charm quark drives quadrupole deformation. These findings position electromagnetic multipole moments as quantitative and discriminating probes of exotic hadron structure, providing concrete benchmarks for forthcoming LHCb, Belle II, and lattice QCD studies.

Electromagnetic form factors of the $B_c$-like tetraquarks: molecular and diquark-antidiquark pictures

In this study, we use the molecular and diquark-antidiquark tetraquark pictures to investigate magnetic and quadrupole moments of the $B_c$-like ground state tetraquarks with the QCD light-cone sum rules with quantum numbers $J^P = 1^+$. In the numerical analysis, to obtain the magnetic and quadrupole moments of $B_c$-like tetraquark states molecular and diquark-antidiquark forms of interpolating currents, and photon distribution amplitudes have been used. The magnetic moments are acquired as $ μ_{Z_{uc \bar u \bar b}}^{Mol}=1.18^{+0.52}_{-0.40}~μ_N$, $μ_{Z_{uc \bar u \bar b}}^{Di}=3.05^{+1.19}_{-0.95}~μ_N$, $μ_{Z_{dc \bar d \bar b}}^{Mol}=0.32^{+0.18}_{-0.10}~μ_N$, and $μ_{Z_{dc \bar d \bar b}}^{Di}=2.38^{+0.95}_{-0.75}~μ_N$. The hadrons' magnetic and quadrupole moments are another fundamental observable as their mass, which provides information on the underlying quark structure and dynamics. The results obtained in both pictures are quite different from each other. Any experimental measurement of the magnetic moments can provide an understanding of the internal structure of these states. We get nonzero but small values for the quadrupole moments of $B_c$-like tetraquark states showing non-spherical charge distributions. Hopefully, the examinations given in this study will be helpful to an experimental search of them, which will be an interesting research subject.

Investigation of magnetic moment of $P_{cs}(4338)$ and $P_{cs}(4459)$ pentaquark states

In this study, we discuss the magnetic moment of $P_{cs}(4338)$ and $P_{cs}(4459)$ hidden-charmed pentaquarks, which are closely related to their substructures. The magnetic moments of these states are calculated with the help of the QCD light-cone sum rules method with quantum numbers $I(J^P) = 0(1/2^-)$ and $I(J^P) = 0(3/2^-)$ for $P_{cs}(4338)$ and $P_{cs}(4459)$, respectively. Our predictions for the magnetic moment $μ_{P_{cs}} = 0.34 \pm 0.12~μ_N$ for the $P_{cs}(4338)$ state, and $μ_{P_{cs}} = -1.67 \pm 0.58~μ_N $ for the $P_{cs}(4459)$ state. As a by-product, the magnetic moments of the isospin$-1$ partners of these states have also been obtained. The magnetic moments are obtained as $μ_{P_{cs}} = 0.63 \pm 0.21~μ_N$ and $μ_{P_{cs}} = -3.33 \pm 1.04 ~μ_N $ for the isospin-1 partners of the $P_{cs}(4338)$ and $P_{cs}(4459)$ states, respectively. Our results regarding the magnetic moments of these color singlet-singlet type pentaquark states are compared with the results in the literature.

Magnetic moments of spin--1/2 triply-heavy baryons: A study of Light-cone QCD and Quark-diquark model

In this study, the magnetic moments of the spin-1/2 triply-heavy baryons have been calculated using both light-cone QCD sum rules and Quark-diquark model. Theoretical investigations on magnetic moments of the triply-heavy baryons, are crucial as their results can help us better understand their internal structure and the dynamics of the QCD as the theory of the strong interaction. We compare the results extracted for the magnetic moment with the existing theoretical predictions. It is seen that the obtained magnetic moment values are quite compatible with the results in the literature.

Magnetic dipole moments of the hidden-charm pentaquark states: $P_c(4440)$, $P_c(4457)$ and $P_{cs}(4459)$

In this work, we employ the light-cone QCD sum rule to calculate the magnetic dipole moments of the $P_c(4440)$, $P_c(4457)$ and $P_{cs}(4459)$ pentaquark states by considering them as the diquark-diquark-antiquark and molecular pictures with quantum numbers $J^P = \frac{3}{2}^-$, $J^P = \frac{1}{2}^-$ and $J^P = \frac{1}{2}^-$, respectively. In the analyses, we use the diquark-diquark-antiquark and molecular form of interpolating currents, and photon distribution amplitudes to obtain the magnetic dipole moment of pentaquark states. Theoretical examinations on magnetic dipole moments of the hidden-charm pentaquark states, are essential as their results can help us better figure out their substructure and the dynamics of the QCD as the theory of the strong interaction. As a by product, we extract the electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments of the $P_c(4440)$ pentaquark. These values show a non-spherical charge distribution.

Isovector and isoscalar tensor form factors of $N(1535) \rightarrow N$ transition in light-cone QCD

We have applied isovector and isoscalar tensor current to evaluate the tensor form factors of the $ N(1535) \rightarrow N $ transition with the help of the light-cone QCD sum rule method. In numerical computations, have used the most general forms of the interpolating current for the nucleon and the tensor current together with two different sets of the input parameters in the DAs of the $N(1535)$ state. We have obtained that the values of $N(1535) \rightarrow N$ transition tensor form factors very sensitive to the input parameters of the distribution amplitudes of the $N(1535)$ state. We have acquired that the $Q^2$ dependence of $N(1535) \rightarrow$ transition tensor form factors is well defined by a p-pole fit function.
