Cybersecurity is a very emerging field that protects systems, networks, and data from digital attacks. With the increase in the scale of the Internet and the evolution of cyber attacks, developing novel cybersecurity tools has become important, particularly for Internet of things (IoT) networks. This paper provides a systematic review of the application of deep learning (DL) approaches for cybersecurity. This paper provides a short description of DL methods which is used in cybersecurity, including deep belief networks, generative adversarial networks, recurrent neural networks, and others. Next, we illustrate the differences between shallow learning and DL. Moreover, a discussion is provided on the currently prevailing cyber-attacks in IoT and other networks, and the effectiveness of DL methods to manage these attacks. Besides, this paper describes studies that highlight the DL technique, cybersecurity applications, and the source of datasets. Next, a discussion is provided on the feasibility of DL systems for malware detection and classification, intrusion detection, and other frequent cyber-attacks, including identifying file type, spam, and network traffic. Our review indicates that high classification accuracy of 99.72% is obtained by restricted Boltzmann machine (RBM) when applied to a custom dataset, while long short-term memory (LSTM) achieves an accuracy of 99.80% for KDD Cup 99 dataset. Finally, this article discusses the importance of cybersecurity for reliable and practicable IoT-driven healthcare systems.

Artificial intelligence is known as the most effective technological field for rapid developments shaping the future of the world. Even today, it is possible to see intense use of intelligence systems in all fields of the life. Although advantages of the Artificial Intelligence are widely observed, there is also a dark side employing efforts to design hacking oriented techniques against Artificial Intelligence. Thanks to such techniques, it is possible to trick intelligent systems causing directed results for unsuccessful outputs. That is critical for also cyber wars of the future as it is predicted that the wars will be done unmanned, autonomous intelligent systems. Moving from the explanations, objective of this study is to provide information regarding adversarial examples threatening the Artificial Intelligence and focus on details of some techniques, which are used for creating adversarial examples. Adversarial examples are known as training data, which can trick a Machine Learning technique to learn incorrectly about the target problem and cause an unsuccessful or maliciously directed intelligent system at the end. The study enables the readers to learn enough about details of recent techniques for creating adversarial examples.

Robotics Rights and Ethics Rules

It is very important to adhere strictly to ethical and social influences when delivering most of our life to artificial intelligence systems. With industry 4.0, the internet of things, data analysis and automation have begun to be of great importance in our lives. With the Yapanese version of Industry 5.0, it has come to our attention that machine-human interaction and human intelligence are working in harmony with the cognitive computer. In this context, robots working on artificial intelligence algorithms co-ordinated with the development of technology have begun to enter our lives. But the consequences of the recent complaints of the Robots have been that important issues have arisen about how to be followed in terms of intellectual property and ethics. Although there are no laws regulating robots in our country at present, laws on robot ethics and rights abroad have entered into force. This means that it is important that we organize the necessary arrangements in the way that robots and artificial intelligence are so important in the new world order. In this study, it was aimed to examine the existing rules of machine and robot ethics and to set an example for the arrangements to be made in our country, and various discussions were given in this context.

Pros and cons gamification and gaming in classroom

The aim of the current work is to assess the challenges that gamification in education are facing nowadays. Benefits and disadvantages of using gamification in classroom are both discussed to offer a clearer view on the impact of using gamification within learning process. Exploratory study cases are provided to investigate the relation between motivation and engagement of the students and gamification in training. Following this idea, a survey was conducted to assess how students behavior and motivation is affected by introducing a single, specific gamification element during a semester learning process. To stimulate competition among students, a ranking type plugin was introduced within the university learning management system used for extramural education. The results prove that motivation decreases by comparison to the previous semester.

On the idea of a new artificial intelligence based optimization algorithm inspired from the nature of vortex

In this paper, the idea of a new artificial intelligence based optimization algorithm, which is inspired from the nature of vortex, has been provided briefly. As also a bio-inspired computation algorithm, the idea is generally focused on a typical vortex flow / behavior in nature and inspires from some dynamics that are occurred in the sense of vortex nature. Briefly, the algorithm is also a swarm-oriented evolutional problem solution approach; because it includes many methods related to elimination of weak swarm members and trying to improve the solution process by supporting the solution space via new swarm members. In order have better idea about success of the algorithm; it has been tested via some benchmark functions. At this point, the obtained results show that the algorithm can be an alternative to the literature in terms of single-objective optimization solution ways. Vortex Optimization Algorithm (VOA) is the name suggestion by the authors; for this new idea of intelligent optimization approach.

Intelligent learning environments within blended learning for ensuring effective C programming course

This paper describes a blended learning implementation and experience supported with intelligent learning environments included in a learning management system (LMS) called @KU-UZEM. The blended learning model is realized as a combination of face to face education and e-learning. The intelligent learning environments consist of two applications named CTutor, ITest. In addition to standard e-learning tools, students can use CTutor to resolve C programming exercises. CTutor is a problem-solving environment, which diagnoses students' knowledge level but also gives feedbacks and tips to help them to understand the course subject, overcome their misconceptions and reinforce learnt concepts. ITest provides an assessment environment in which students can take quizzes that were prepared according to their learning levels. The realized model was used for two terms in the "C Programming" course given at Afyon Kocatepe University. A survey was conducted at the end of the course to find out to what extent the students were accepting the blended learning model supported with @KU-UZEM and to discover students' attitude towards intelligent learning environments. Additionally, an experiment formed with an experimental group who took an active part in the realized model and a control group who only took the face to face education was performed during the first term of the course. According to the results, students were satisfied with intelligent learning environments and the realized learning model. Furthermore, the use of intelligent learning environments improved the students' knowledge about C programming.
