Sharp thresholds for the Escobar functional: the Escobar-Willmore mass, geometric selection, and compactness trichotomy

We study the hemisphere threshold for the conformally covariant Escobar functional on compact Riemannian manifolds $(M^n,g)$ with boundary. The near-threshold landscape is organized by boundary invariants: the first-order coefficient $\rho_n^{\mathrm{conf}}H_g$ vanishes identically, so the leading obstruction is a renormalized boundary mass $\mathfrak R_g$ (second order, $n\ge5$), followed by a cubic invariant $\Theta_g$ (third order, $n\ge6$), with a Green kernel interaction $\mathsf G_\partial$ in the multi-bubble regime. Exact evaluation of weighted profile moments yields $\kappa_1=\kappa_2=0$: the coefficients of $\operatorname{Ric}_g(\nu,\nu)$ and $\mathrm{Scal}_{\bar g}$ in the bare mass vanish. On $\{H_g=0\}$ the mass reduces to $\mathfrak R_g^{\mathrm{bare}}=\frac{6-n}{2(n-1)(n-3)(n-4)}|\mathring{\mathrm{II}}|^2$. The Lyapunov--Schmidt correction gives $\mathfrak R_g^{\mathrm{red}}\le\mathfrak R_g^{\mathrm{bare}}\le0$ for $n\ge6$; for $n=5$ the nonlocal back-reaction overcomes the positive bare coefficient. In every dimension $n\ge5$, non-umbilic boundaries are automatically subcritical: $C^*_{\mathrm{Esc}} 0$ yields compactness and hemispherical rigidity. In the multi-bubble regime we establish global compactness at Escobar multiples with equal-mass quantization and conditional exclusion of pure multi-bubbling.

On the sharp multi-bubble stability for fractional Hardy-Sobolev equations -- A quantitative approach in low dimensions

We establish sharp quantitative multi-bubble stability for non-sign-changing critical points of the fractional Hardy-Sobolev inequality in the low-dimensional regime $2s<N<6s-2t$. For functions whose energy is close to that of a finite superposition of bubbles, we prove that the Euler-Lagrange deficit controls linearly the distance, in the homogeneous fractional Sobolev norm, to the multi-bubble manifold, and we recover the precise bubble configuration. This yields quantitative rigidity under arbitrary finite weak interactions. The proof combines a localization scheme adapted to the Hardy weight, weighted fractional Kato-Ponce commutator estimates, a bubble-wise spectral gap inequality, and a sharp interaction analysis. We also show that the linear rate is optimal by constructing a matching counterexample.

Quantitative Stability in Fractional Hardy-Sobolev Inequalities: The Role of Euler-Lagrange Equations

This paper investigates sharp stability estimates for the fractional Hardy-Sobolev inequality: $$\mu_{s,t}\left(\mathbb{R}^N\right) \left(\int_{\mathbb{R}^N} \frac{|u|^{2^*_s(t)}}{|x|^t} \,{\rm d}x \right)^{\frac{2}{2^*_s(t)}} \leq \int_{\mathbb{R}^N} \left|(-\Delta)^{\frac{s}{2}} u \right|^2 \,{\rm d}x, \quad \text{for all } u \in \dot{H}^s\left(\mathbb{R}^N\right),$$ where $N > 2s$, $s \in (0,1)$, $0 < t < 2s < N $, and $2^*_s(t) = \frac{2(N-t)}{N-2s}$. Here, $\mu_{s,t}\left(\mathbb{R}^N\right)$ represents the best constant in the inequality. The paper focuses on the quantitative stability results of the above inequality and the corresponding Euler-Lagrange equation near a positive ground-state solution. Additionally, a qualitative stability result is established for the Euler-Lagrange equation, offering a thorough characterization of the Palais-Smale sequences for the associated energy functional. These results generalize the sharp quantitative stability results for the classical Sobolev inequality in $\mathbb{R}^N$, originally obtained by Bianchi and Egnell \cite{BE91} as well as the corresponding critical exponent problem in $\mathbb{R}^N$, explored by Ciraolo, Figalli, and Maggi \cite{CFM18} in the framework of fractional calculus.

Dissipative Measure Valued Solutions to the Stochastic Compressible Navier-Stokes Equations and Inviscid-Incompressible Limit

We introduce a concept of dissipative measure valued martingale solutions for stochastic compressible Navier-Stokes equations. These solutions are weak from a probabilistic perspective, since they include both the driving Wiener process and the probability space as an integral part of the solution. Then, for the stochastic compressible Navier-Stokes system, we establish the relative energy inequality, and as a result, we demonstrate the path-wise weak-strong uniqueness principle. We also look at the inviscid-incompressible limit of the underlying system of equations using the relative energy inequality.

Measure-valued solutions to the stochastic compressible Euler equations and incompressible limits

We introduce a new concept of dissipative measure-valued martingale solutions to the stochastic compressible Euler equations. These solutions are weak in the probabilistic sense i.e., the probability space and the driving Wiener process are an integral part of the solution. We derive the relative energy inequality for the stochastic compressible Euler equations and, as a corollary, we exhibit pathwise weak-strong uniqueness principle. Moreover, making use of the relative energy inequality, we investigate the low Mach limit (incompressible limit) of the underlying system of equations. As a main novelty with respect to the related literature, our results apply to general nonlinear multiplicative stochastic perturbations of Nemytskij type.
