More on Wilson toroidal networks and torus blocks

We consider the Wilson line networks of the Chern-Simons $3d$ gravity theory with toroidal boundary conditions which calculate global conformal blocks of degenerate quasi-primary operators in torus $2d$ CFT. After general discussion that summarizes and further extends results known in the literature we explicitly obtain the one-point torus block and two-point torus blocks through particular matrix elements of toroidal Wilson network operators in irreducible finite-dimensional representations of $sl(2,\mathbb{R})$ algebra. The resulting expressions are given in two alternative forms using different ways to treat multiple tensor products of $sl(2,\mathbb{R})$ representations: (1) $3mj$ Wigner symbols and intertwiners of higher valence, (2) totally symmetric tensor products of the fundamental $sl(2,\mathbb{R})$ representation.

Large-c superconformal torus blocks

We study large-c SCFT2 on a torus specializing to one-point superblocks in the N=1 Neveu-Schwarz sector. Considering different contractions of the Neveu-Schwarz superalgebra related to the large central charge limit we explicitly calculate three superblocks, osp(1|2) global, light, and heavy-light superblocks, and show that they are related to each other. We formulate the osp(1|2) superCasimir eigenvalue equations and identify their particular solutions as the global superblocks. It is shown that the resulting differential equations are the Heun equations. We study exponentiated global superblocks arising at large conformal dimensions and demonstrate that in the leading approximation the osp(1|2) superblocks are equal to the non-supersymmetric sl(2) block.

c-Recursion for multi-point superconformal blocks. NS sector

We develop a recursive approach to computing Neveu-Schwarz conformal blocks associated with n-punctured Riemann surfaces. This work generalizes the results of [1] obtained recently for the Virasoro algebra. The method is based on the analysis of the analytic properties of the superconformal blocks considered as functions of the central charge c. It consists of two main ingredients: the study of the singular behavior of the conformal blocks and the analysis of their asymptotic properties when c tends to infinity. The proposed construction is applicable for computing multi-point blocks in different topologies. We consider some examples for genus zero and one with different numbers of punctures. As a by-product, we propose a new way to solve the recursion relations, which gives more efficient computational procedure and can be applied to SCFT case as well as to pure Virasoro blocks.

Holographic duals of large-c torus conformal blocks

We study CFT2 conformal blocks on a torus and their holographic realization. The classical conformal blocks arising in the regime where conformal dimensions grow linearly with the large central charge are shown to be holographically dual to the geodesic networks stretched in the thermal AdS bulk space. We discuss the n-point conformal blocks and their duals, the 2-point case is elaborated in full detail. We develop various techniques to calculate both quantum and classical conformal block functions. In particular, we show that exponentiated global torus blocks reproduce classical torus blocks in the specific perturbative regimes of the conformal parameter space.

Geodesic description of Heavy-Light Virasoro blocks

We continue to investigate the dual description of the Virasoro conformal blocks arising in the framework of the classical limit of the AdS$_3$/CFT$_2$ correspondence. To give such an interpretation in previous studies, certain restrictions were necessary. Our goal here is to consider more general situation available through the worldline approximation to the dual AdS gravity. Namely, we are interested in computing the spherical conformal blocks without the previously imposed restrictions on the conformal dimensions of the internal channels. The duality is realised as an equality of the so-called heavy-light limit of the n-point conformal block and the action of n-2 particles propagating in some AdS-like background with either a conical singularity or a BTZ black hole. We describe a procedure that allows relaxing the constraint on the intermediate channels. To obtain an explicit expression for the conformal block on the CFT side, we use a recently proposed recursion procedure and find full agreement between the results of the boundary and bulk computations.

Holographic interpretation of 1-point toroidal block in the semiclassical limit

We propose the holographic interpretation of the 1-point conformal block on a torus in the semiclassical regime. To this end we consider the linearized version of the block and find its coefficients by means of the perturbation procedure around natural seed configuration corresponding to the zero-point block. From the AdS/CFT perspective the linearized block is given by the geodesic length of the tadpole graph embedded into the thermal AdS plus the holomorphic part of the thermal AdS action.

From global to heavy-light: 5-point conformal blocks

We consider Virasoro conformal blocks in the large central charge limit. There are different regimes depending on the behavior of the conformal dimensions. The most simple regime is reduced to the global sl(2, C) conformal blocks while the most complicated one is known as the classical conformal blocks. Recently, Fitzpatrick, Kaplan, and Walters showed that the two regimes are related through the intermediate stage of the so-called heavy-light semiclassical limit. We study this idea in the particular case of the 5-point conformal block. To find the 5-point global block we use the projector technique and the Casimir operator approach. Furthermore, we discuss the relation between the global and the heavy-light limits and construct the heavy-light block from the global block. In this way we reproduce our previous results for the 5-point perturbative classical block obtained by means of the monodromy method.

Monodromic vs geodesic computation of Virasoro classical conformal blocks

We compute 5-point classical conformal blocks with two heavy, two light, and one superlight operator using the monodromy approach up to third order in the superlight expansion. By virtue of the AdS/CFT correspondence we show the equivalence of the resulting expressions to those obtained in the bulk computation for the corresponding geodesic configuration.

Classical conformal blocks via AdS/CFT correspondence

We continue to develop the holographic interpretation of classical conformal blocks in terms of particles propagating in an asymptotically $AdS_3$ geometry. We study $n$-point block with two heavy and $n-2$ light fields. Using the worldline approach we propose and explicitly describe the corresponding bulk configuration, which consists of $n-3$ particles propagating in the conical defect background produced by the heavy fields. We test this general picture in the case of five points. Using the special combinatorial representation of the Virasoro conformal block we compute $5$-point classical block and find the exact correspondence with the bulk worldline action. In particular, the bulk analysis relies upon the special perturbative procedure which treats the $5$-point case as a deformation of the $4$-pt case.

Frobenius manifolds, Integrable Hierarchies and Minimal Liouville Gravity

We use the connection between the Frobrenius manifold and the Douglas string equation to further investigate Minimal Liouville gravity. We search a solution of the Douglas string equation and simultaneously a proper transformation from the KdV to the Liouville frame which ensure the fulfilment of the conformal and fusion selection rules. We find that the desired solution of the string equation has explicit and simple form in the flat coordinates on the Frobenious manifold in the general case of (p,q) Minimal Liouville gravity.

Conformal blocks of W_N Minimal Models and AGT correspondence

We study the AGT correspondence between four-dimensional supersymmetric gauge field theory and two-dimensional conformal field theories in the context of W_N minimal models. The origin of the AGT correspondence is in a special integrable structure which appears in the properly extended conformal theory. One of the basic manifestations of this integrability is the special orthogonal basis which arises in the extended theory. We propose modification of the AGT representation for the W_N conformal blocks in the minimal models. The necessary modification is related to the reduction of the orthogonal basis. This leads to the explicit combinatorial representation for the conformal blocks of minimal models and employs the sum over N-tupels of Young diagrams with additional restrictions.

Modular Integrals in Minimal Super Liouville Gravity

The four-point integral of the minimal super Liouville gravity on the sphere is evaluated numerically. The integration procedure is based on the effective elliptic parameterization of the moduli space. The analysis is performed for a few different gravitational four-point amplitudes. The results agree with the analytic results recently obtained using the Higher super Liouville equations of motion.

On the N=1 super Liouville four-point functions

We construct the four-point correlation functions containing the top component of the supermultiplet in the Neveu-Schwarz sector of the N=1 SUSY Liouville field theory. The construction is based on the recursive representation for the NS conformal blocks. We test our results in the case where one of the fields is degenerate with a singular vector on the level 3/2. In this case, the correlation function satisfies a third-order ordinary differential equation, which we derive. We numerically verify the crossing symmetry relations for the constructed correlation functions in the nondegenerate case.

N=1 SUSY Conformal Block Recursive Relations

We present explicit recursive relations for the four-point superconformal block functions that are essentially particular contributions of the given conformal class to the four-point correlation function. The approach is based on the analytic properties of the superconformal blocks as functions of the conformal dimensions and the central charge of the superconformal algebra. The results are compared with the explicit analytic expressions obtained for special parameter values corresponding to the truncated operator product expansion. These recursive relations are an efficient tool for numerically studying the four-point correlation function in Super Conformal Field Theory in the framework of the bootstrap approach, similar to that in the case of the purely conformal symmetry.

Hedgehogs in Wilson loops and phase transition in SU(2) Yang-Mills theory

We suggest that the gauge-invariant hedgehoglike structures in the Wilson loops are physically interesting degrees of freedom in the Yang--Mills theory. The trajectories of these ``hedgehog loops'' are closed curves corresponding to center-valued (untraced) Wilson loops and are characterized by the center charge and winding number. We show numerically in the SU(2) Yang--Mills theory that the density of hedgehog structures in the thermal Wilson--Polyakov line is very sensitive to the finite-temperature phase transition. The (additively normalized) hedgehog line density behaves like an order parameter: the density is almost independent of the temperature in the confinement phase and changes substantially as the system enters the deconfinement phase. In particular, our results suggest that the (static) hedgehog lines may be relevant degrees of freedom around the deconfinement transition and thus affect evolution of the quark-gluon plasma in high-energy heavy-ion collisions.

Correlation functions of descendants in the scaling Lee--Yang model

Correlation functions of the composite field $T\bar{T}$ in the scaling Lee--Yang model are studied. Using the analytic expression for form factors of this operator recently proposed by Delfino and Niccoli \cite{DN}, we show numerically that the constraints on the $T\bar{T}$ expectation values obtained in \cite{AZ_VEVTT} and the additional requirement of asymptotic behavior lead to a perfect agreement with the ultraviolet asymptotic predicted by the conformal perturbation theory.

On projection (in)dependence of monopole condensate in lattice SU(2) gauge theory

We study the temperature dependence of the monopole condensate in different Abelian projections of the SU(2) lattice gauge theory. Using the Frohlich-Marchetti monopole creation operator we show numerically that the monopole condensate depends on the choice of the Abelian projection. Contrary to the claims in the current literature we observe that in the Abelian Polyakov gauge and in the field strength gauge the monopole condensate does not vanish at the critical temperature and thus is not an order parameter.

On correlation functions in the perturbed minimal models M(2,2n+1)

Two-point correlation functions of spin operators in the minimal models ${\cal M}_{p,p'}$ perturbed by the field $Φ_{13}$ are studied in the framework of conformal perturbation theory. The first-order corrections for the structure functions are derived analytically in terms of gamma functions. Together with the exact vacuum expectation values of local operators, this gives the short-distance expansion of the correlation functions. The long-distance behaviors of these correlation functions in the case ${\cal M}_{2,2n+1}$ have been worked out using a form-factor bootstrap approach. The results of numerical calculations demonstrate that the short- and long-distance expansions match at the intermediate distances. Including the descendent operators in the OPE drastically improves the convergency region. The combination of the two methods thus describes the correlation functions at all length scales with good precision.
