Diffraction slopes for elastic proton-proton and proton-antiproton scattering

The diffraction slope parameter is investigated for elastic proton-proton and proton-antiproton scattering based on the all available experimental data at low momentum transfer values. Energy dependence of the elastic diffraction slopes is approximated by various analytic functions. The expanded "standard" logarithmic approximations allow to describe experimental slopes in all available energy range reasonably. Various approximations differ from each other both in the low energy and very high energy domains. Predictions for diffraction slope parameter are obtained for elastic proton-proton scattering at RHIC and LHC energies, for proton-antiproton elastic reaction in FAIR energy domain for various approximation functions.

Azimuthal anisotropy and fundamental symmetries in QCD matter at RHIC

A study of collective behavior in heavy ion collisions provides one of the most sensitive and promising probes for investigation of possible formation of new extreme state of strong interacting matter and elucidating its properties. Systematic of experimental results for final state azimuthal anisotropy is presented for heavy ion interactions at RHIC. Experimental data for azimuthal anisotropy indicate that the final state strongly interacting matter under extreme conditions behaves as near-ideal liquid rather, than ideal gas of quarks and gluons. The strong quenching of jets and the dramatic modification of jet-like azimuthal correlations, observed in ${Au+Au}$ collisions, are evidences of the extreme energy loss of partons traversing matter which contains a large density of color charges. For the first time, dependence of the jet suppression on orientation of a jet with respect to the reaction plane is found at RHIC experimentally. The model of compound collective flow and corresponding analytic approach are discussed. The possible violations of $\cal{P}$ and $\cal{CP}$ symmetries of strong interactions in heavy ion collisions at different initial energies are considered. Thus, now the fact is established firmly, that extremely hot and dense matter created in relativistic heavy ion collisions at RHIC differs dramatically from everything that was observed and investigated before.

Elastic proton-proton and proton-antiproton scattering: analysis of complete set of helicity amplitudes

The differential cross-sections are calculated for proton-proton and proton-antiproton elastic scattering using the phenomenological model based on the analytic parameterizations for global scattering parameters (total cross-section and $ρ$ - parameter), crossing symmetry and derivative relations. We confront our model predictions with experimental data in wide range of energy and momentum transfer. The suggested method may be useful for PAX Program (GSI) as well as for high-energy experiments at RHIC and LHC.

Collective effects in a medium and a model of compound flow in relativistic heavy ion collisions

A new analytical approach is presented for analysis of two-particle azimuthal correlations in heavy ion collisions at relativistic energies. This approach suggests that elliptic flow measured by experiment has a compound structure, namely, that it may come from superposition of several components. General expressions have been derived for the two-particle correlation function isolating the contribution due to anisotropic flow. The model of compound flow takes into account the number of jets per event, average multiplicity per jet, dependence of jet yield on the orientation with respect to the reaction plane, and independent "soft" particle production.

Spin matrix elements for the elastic proton-proton and proton-antiproton collisions

Motivated by the present extensive RHIC (BNL) spin program and further PAX project at FAIR, we study the possibility of explicit reconstruction of full set of helicity amplitudes by joint consideration of elastic proton-proton and proton-antiproton scattering. Procedure is based on the derivative relations for the helicity amplitudes, explicit parametrization of the leading spin non-flip amplitudes and crossing - symmetry relations. Some preliminary results are presented for the PAX energies to show the expected magnitudes of the spin dependent observables as a functions of invariant Mandelstam's variables $s$ and $t$.

The explicit procedures for reconstruction of full set of helicity amplitudes in elastic proton-proton and proton-antiproton collisions

The explicit procedures are described for reconstruction of the full set of helicity amplitudes in proton-proton and proton-antiproton elastic scattering. The procedures are based on the derivative relations for the helicity amplitudes in s-channel, on the explicit parametrization of the leading spin non flip amplitudes and crossing - symmetry relations. Asymptotic theorems are used for definition of free parameters in derivative relations. We also study the Odderon influence on the helicity amplitude reconstruction. Reconstruction procedures are valid at extremely wide energy domain and broad range of momentum transfer. These procedures might be useful in studying the spin phenomena in proton-proton and proton-antiproton elastic scattering.

The $ΛK$ system production in the hadron interactions

The A-dependence is observed in $x_F$-distributions for the $ΛK^0$ system produced with the small transverse momentum in the neutron-nucleus interactions. For the $Λ$ hyperons similar dependence isn't seen. The result is interpreted as an effect from intermediate excitative nucleon state, which decays into strange particles. Such interpretation is confirmed experimental data on $ΛK$ pair production in the pion-nucleon interactions.
