On Epsilon Expansions of Four-loop Non-planar Massless Propagator Diagrams

We evaluate three typical four-loop non-planar massless propagator diagrams in a Taylor expansion in dimensional regularization parameter $ε=(4-d)/2$ up to transcendentality weight twelve, using a recently developed method of one of the present coauthors (R.L.). We observe only multiple zeta values in our results.

Analytic Epsilon Expansions of Master Integrals Corresponding to Massless Three-Loop Form Factors and Three-Loop g-2 up to Four-Loop Transcendentality Weight

We evaluate analytically higher terms of the epsilon-expansion of the three-loop master integrals corresponding to three-loop quark and gluon form factors and to the three-loop master integrals contributing to the electron g-2 in QED up to the transcendentality weight typical to four-loop calculations, i.e. eight and seven, respectively. The calculation is based on a combination of a method recently suggested by one of the authors (R.L.) with other techniques: sector decomposition implemented in FIESTA, the method of Mellin--Barnes representation, and the PSLQ algorithm.

Analytic Results for Massless Three-Loop Form Factors

We evaluate, exactly in d, the master integrals contributing to massless three-loop QCD form factors. The calculation is based on a combination of a method recently suggested by one of the authors (R.L.) with other techniques: sector decomposition implemented in FIESTA, the method of Mellin--Barnes representation, and the PSLQ algorithm. Using our results for the master integrals we obtain analytical expressions for two missing constants in the ep-expansion of the two most complicated master integrals and present the form factors in a completely analytic form.

Three-loop on-shell Feynman integrals with two masses

All three-loop on-shell QCD Feynman integrals with two masses can be reduced to 27 master integrals. Here we calculate these master integrals, expanded in epsilon, both exactly in the mass ratio and as series in limiting cases.

FIESTA 2: parallelizeable multiloop numerical calculations

The program FIESTA has been completely rewritten. Now it can be used not only as a tool to evaluate Feynman integrals numerically, but also to expand Feynman integrals automatically in limits of momenta and masses with the use of sector decompositions and Mellin-Barnes representations. Other important improvements to the code are complete parallelization (even to multiple computers), high-precision arithmetics (allowing to calculate integrals which were undoable before), new integrators and Speer sectors as a strategy, the possibility to evaluate more general parametric integrals.

Spin Dependence of Heavy Quarkonium Production and Annihilation Rates: Complete Next-to-Next-to-Leading Logarithmic result

The ratio of the photon mediated production or annihilation rates of spin triplet and spin singlet heavy quarkonium states is computed to the next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy within the nonrelativistic renormalization group approach. The result is presented in analytical form and applied to the phenomenology of $t\bar{t}$, $b\bar{b}$ and $c\bar{c}$ systems. The use of the nonrelativistic renormalization group considerably improves the behaviour of the perturbative expansion and is crucial for accurate theoretical analysis. For bottomonium decays we predict $Γ(η_b(1S) \to γγ)=0.659\pm 0.089 ({\rm th.}) {}^{+0.019}_{-0.018} (δα_{\rm s})\pm 0.015 ({\rm exp.}) {\rm keV}$. Our results question the accuracy of the existing extractions of the strong coupling constant from the bottomonium annihilation. As a by-product we obtain novel corrections to the ratio of the ortho- and parapositronium decay rates: the corrections of order $α^4\ln^2α$ and $α^5\ln^3α$.

$M(η_b)$ and $α_s$ from Nonrelativistic Renormalization Group

We sum up the next-to-leading logarithmic corrections to the heavy-quarkonium hyperfine splitting using the nonrelativistic renormalization group. On the basis of this result, we predict the mass of the $η_b$ meson to be $M(η_b)=9419 \pm 11 {(\rm th)} {}^{+9}_{-8} (δα_s) MeV$. The experimental measurement of $M(η_b)$ with a few MeV error would be sufficient to determine $α_s(M_Z)$ with an accuracy of $\pm 0.003$. The use of the nonrelativistic renormalization group is mandatory to reproduce the experimental value of the hyperfine splitting in charmonium.

Nine-Propagator Master Integrals for Massless Three-Loop Form Factors

We complete the calculation of master integrals for massless three-loop form factors by computing the previously-unknown three diagrams with nine propagators in dimensional regularisation. Each of the integrals yields a six-fold Mellin-Barnes representation which we use to compute the coefficients of the Laurent expansion in epsilon. Using Riemann zeta functions of up to weight six, we give fully analytic results for one integral; for a second, analytic results for all but the finite term; for the third, analytic results for all but the last two coefficients in the Laurent expansion. The remaining coefficients are given numerically to sufficiently high accuracy for phenomenological applications.

Quark and gluon form factors to three loops

We compute the form factors of the photon-quark-anti-quark vertex and the effective vertex of a Higgs boson and two gluons to three-loop order within massless perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. These results provide building blocks for many third-order cross sections. Furthermore, this is the first calculation of complete three-loop vertex corrections.

On the Resolution of Singularities of Multiple Mellin-Barnes Integrals

One of the two existing strategies of resolving singularities of multifold Mellin-Barnes integrals in the dimensional regularization parameter, or a parameter of the analytic regularization, is formulated in a modified form. The corresponding algorithm is implemented as a Mathematica code MBresolve.m

Hepp and Speer Sectors within Modern Strategies of Sector Decomposition

Hepp and Speer sectors were successfully used in the sixties and seventies for proving mathematical theorems on analytically or/and dimensionally regularized and renormalized Feynman integrals at Euclidean external momenta. We describe them within recently developed strategies of introducing iterative sector decompositions. We show that Speer sectors are reproduced within one of the existing strategies.

On the reduction of Feynman integrals to master integrals

The reduction of Feynman integrals to master integrals is an algebraic problem that requires algorithmic approaches at the modern level of calculations. Straightforward applications of the classical Buchberger algorithm to construct Groebner bases seem to be inefficient. An essential modification designed especially for this problem has been worked out. It has been already applied in two- and three-loop calculations. We are also suggesting to combine our method with the Laporta's algorithm.

Decoupling of heavy quarks in HQET

Decoupling of c-quark loops in b-quark HQET is considered. The decoupling coefficients for the HQET heavy-quark field and the heavy-light quark current are calculated with the three-loop accuracy. The last result can be used to improve the accuracy of extracting f_B from HQET lattice simulations (without c-quark loops). The decoupling coefficient for the flavour-nonsinglet QCD current with n antisymmetrized gamma-matrices is also obtained at three loops; the result for the tensor current (n=2) is new.

Magic identities for conformal four-point integrals

We propose an iterative procedure for constructing classes of off-shell four-point conformal integrals which are identical. The proof of the identity is based on the conformal properties of a subintegral common for the whole class. The simplest example are the so-called `triple scalar box' and `tennis court' integrals. In this case we also give an independent proof using the method of Mellin--Barnes representation which can be applied in a similar way for general off-shell Feynman integrals.

S-bases as a tool to solve reduction problems for Feynman integrals

We suggest a mathematical definition of the notion of master integrals and present a brief review of algorithmic methods to solve reduction problems for Feynman integrals based on integration by parts relations. In particular, we discuss a recently suggested reduction algorithm which uses Groebner bases. New results obtained with its help for a family of three-loop Feynman integrals are outlined.

Two-Loop Iteration of Five-Point N=4 Super-Yang-Mills Amplitudes

We confirm by explicit computation the conjectured all-orders iteration of planar maximally supersymmetric N=4 Yang-Mills theory in the nontrivial case of five-point two-loop amplitudes. We compute the required unitarity cuts of the integrand and evaluate the resulting integrals numerically using a Mellin--Barnes representation and the automated package of ref.~[1]. This confirmation of the iteration relation provides further evidence suggesting that N=4 gauge theory is solvable.

Applying Groebner Bases to Solve Reduction Problems for Feynman Integrals

We describe how Groebner bases can be used to solve the reduction problem for Feynman integrals, i.e. to construct an algorithm that provides the possibility to express a Feynman integral of a given family as a linear combination of some master integrals. Our approach is based on a generalized Buchberger algorithm for constructing Groebner-type bases associated with polynomials of shift operators. We illustrate it through various examples of reduction problems for families of one- and two-loop Feynman integrals. We also solve the reduction problem for a family of integrals contributing to the three-loop static quark potential.
