On the "scattering law" for Kasner parameters in the model with one-component anisotropic fluid

A multidimensional cosmological type model with 1-component anisotropic fluid is considered. An exact solution is obtained. This solution is defined on a product manifold containing n Ricci-flat factor spaces. We singled out a special solution governed by the function cosh. It is shown that this special solution has Kasner-like asymptotics in the limits τ\to + 0 and τ\to + \infty, where τis a synchronous time variable. A relation between two sets of Kasner parameters α_{\infty} and α_{0} is found. This formula (of "scattering law") is coinciding with that obtained earlier for the S-brane solution (when scalar fields are absent).

On multitemporal generalization of Newton's gravitational law

A n-time generalization of Newton's law (of universal gravitation) formula in N =n + d + 1-dimensional space-time is conjectured. This formula implies a relation for effective N-dimensional gravitational constant G_{eff} = G cos^2 θ, where θis the angle between the direction of motion of two particles in n-dimensional time manifold R^n.

P-brane black holes for general intersections

Black hole generalized p-brane solutions for a wide class of intersection rules are presented. The solutions are defined on a manifold that contains a product of n - 1 Ricci-flat internal spaces. They are defined up to moduli functions H_s = H_s(R) obeying a non-linear differential equations (equivalent to Toda-type equations) with certain boundary conditions imposed. Using conjecture on polynomial structure of H_s for intersections related to Lie algebras, new A_2-dyon solutions are obtained. Two examples of these A_2-dyon solutions, i.e. dyon in D = 11 supergravity with M2 and M5 branes intersecting at a point and dyon in Kaluza-Klein theory, are considered.

Toda p-brane black holes and polynomials related to Lie algebras

Black hole generalized p-brane solutions for a wide class of intersection rules are obtained. The solutions are defined on a manifold that contains a product of n - 1 Ricci-flat internal spaces. They are defined up to a set of functions H_s obeying non-linear differential equations equivalent to Toda-type equations with certain boundary conditions imposed. A conjecture on polynomial structure of governing functions H_s for intersections related to semisimple Lie algebras is suggested. This conjecture is proved for Lie algebras: A_m, C_{m+1}, m > 0. For simple Lie algebras the powers of polynomials coincide with the components of twice the dual Weyl vector in the basis of simple coroots. The coefficients of polynomials depend upon the extremality parameter μ>0. In the extremal case μ= 0 such polynomials were considered previously by H. Lü, J. Maharana, S. Mukherji and C.N. Pope. Explicit formulas for A_2-solution are obtained. Two examples of A_2-dyon solutions, i.e. dyon in D = 11 supergravity with M2 and M5 branes intersecting at a point and Kaluza-Klein dyon, are considered.

Electric S-brane solutions corresponding to rank-2 Lie algebras: acceleration and small variation of G

Electric S-brane solutions with two non-composite electric branes and a set of l scalar fields are considered. The intersection rules for branes correspond to Lie algebras A_2, C_2 and G_2. The solutions contain five factor spaces. One of them, M_0, is interpreted as our 3-dimensional space. It is shown that there exists a time interval where accelerated expansion of our 3-dimensional space is compatible with a small enough variation of the effective gravitational constant G(τ). This interval contains τ_0, a point of minimum of the function G(τ). A special solution with two phantom scalar fields is analyzed and it is shown that in the vicinity of the point τ_0 the time variation of G(τ) (calculated in the linear approximation) decreases in the sequence of Lie algebras A_2, C_2 and G_2.

On billiard approach in multidimensional cosmological models

A short overview of the billiard approach for cosmological-type models with n Einstein factor-spaces is presented. We start with the billiard representation for pseudo-Euclidean Toda-like systems of cosmological origin. Then we consider cosmological model with multicomponent "perfect-fluid" and cosmological-type model with composite branes. The second one describes cosmological and spherically-symmetric configurations in a theory with scalar fields and fields of forms. The conditions for appearance of asymptotical Kasner-like and oscillating behaviors in the limit τ\to +0 and τ\to + \infty (where τis a "synchronous-type" variable) are formulated (e.g. in terms of inequalities on Kasner parameters). Examples of billiards related to the hyperbolic Kac-Moody algebras E_{10}, AE_3 and A_{1,II} are given.

Billiard representation for pseudo-Euclidean Toda-like systems of cosmological origin

The pseudo-Euclidean Toda-like system of cosmological origin is considered. When certain restrictions on the parameters of the model are imposed, the dynamics of the model near the ``singularity'' is reduced to a billiard on the (n-1)-dimensional Lobachevsky space H^{n-1}. The geometrical criterion for the finiteness of the billiard volume and its compactness is suggested. This criterion reduces the problem to the problem of illumination of (n-2)-dimensional sphere S^{n-2} by point-like sources. Some examples are considered.

On the "scattering law" for Kasner parameters appearing in asymptotics of an exact S-brane solution

A multidimensional cosmological model with scalar and form fields [1-4] is studied. An exact S-brane solution (either electric or magnetic) in a model with l scalar fields and one antisymmetric form of rank m > 1 is considered. This solution is defined on a product manifold containing n Ricci-flat factor spaces M_1, ..., M_n. In the case when the kinetic term for scalar fields is positive definite we singled out a special solution governed by the function cosh. It is shown that this special solution has Kasner-like asymptotics in the limits τ\to + 0 and τ\to + \infty, where τis a synchronous time variable. A relation between two sets of Kasner parameters α_{\infty} and α_0 is found. This relation, named as ``scattering law'' (SL) formula, is coinciding with the ``collision law'' (CL) formula obtained previously in [5] in a context of a billiard description of S-brane solutions near the singularity. A geometric sense of SL formula is clarified: it is shown that SL transformation is a map of a ``shadow'' part of the Kasner sphere S^{N-2} (N = n+l) onto ``illuminated'' part. This map is just a (generalized) inversion with respect to a point v located outside the Kasner sphere S^{N-2}. The shadow and illuminated parts of the Kasner sphere are defined with respect to a point-like source of light located at v. Explicit formulae for SL transformations corresponding to SM2- and SM5-brane solutions in 11-dimensional supergravity are presented.

Multidimensional cosmology with anisotropic fluid: acceleration and variation of G

A multidimensional cosmological model describing the dynamics of n+1 Ricci-flat factor-spaces M_i in the presence of a one-component anisotropic fluid is considered. The pressures in all spaces are proportional to the density: p_i = w_i ρ, i = 0,...,n. Solutions with accelerated expansion of our 3-space M_0 and small enough variation of the gravitational constant G are found. These solutions exist for two branches of the parameter w_0. The first branch describes superstiff matter with w_0 > 1, the second one may contain phantom matter with w_0 < - 1, e.g., when G grows with time.

Non-singular solutions in multidimensional cosmology with a perfect fluid: acceleration and variation of G

Exact solutions with an exponential behaviour of the scale factors are considered in a multidimensional cosmological model describing the dynamics of n+1 Ricci-flat factor spaces M_i in the presence of a one-component perfect fluid. The pressures in all spaces are proportional to the density: p_i = w_i ρ, i = 0,...,n. Solutions with accelerated expansion of our 3-space M_0 and a small enough variation of the gravitational constant G are found. These solutions exist for two branches of the parameter w_0. Fluxbrane and S-brane solutions with polynomials related to rank-2 Lie algebras

Composite fluxbrane and S-brane solutions for a wide class of intersection rules are considered. These solutions are defined on a product manifold R_{*} x M_1 x ... x M_n which contains n Ricci-flat spaces M_1, ..., M_n with 1-dimensional factor spaces R_{*} and M_1. They are determined up to a set of functions obeying non-linear differential equations equivalent to Toda-type equations with certain boundary conditions imposed. Exact solutions corresponding to configurations with two branes and intersections related to simple Lie algebras C_2 and G_2 are obtained. In these cases, the functions H_s(z), s =1,2, are polynomials of degrees (3, 4) and (6, 10), respectively, in agreement with a conjecture put forward previously in Ref., \cite{Iflux}. The S-brane solutions under consideration, for special choices of the parameters, may describe an accelerating expansion of our 3-dimensional space and a small enough variation of the effective gravitational constant.

An S-brane solution with acceleration and small enough variation of G

An S-brane solution with two non-composite electric branes and a set of l scalar fields is considered. The intersection rule for branes corresponds to the Lie algebra A_2. The solution contains five factor spaces with the fifth one interpreted as ``our'' 3-dimensional space. It is shown that there exists a time interval where accelerating expansion of ``our'' 3-dimensional space is compatible with small enough value of effective gravitational ``constant'' variation.

It is shown that there exists a time interval where accelerating expansion of ``our'' 3-dimensional space is compatible with a small value of effective gravitational ``constant'' variation.

Multidimensional Classical and Quantum Cosmology with Perfect Fluid

A cosmological model describing the evolution of n Ricci-flat spaces (n>1) in the presence of 1-component perfect-fluid and minimally coupled scalar field is considered. When the pressures in all spaces are proportional to the density, the Einstein and Wheeler-DeWitt equations are integrated for a large variety of parameters. Classical and quantum wormhole solutions are obtained for negative density. Some special classes of solutions, e.g. solutions with spontaneous and dynamical compactification, exponential and power-law inflations, are singled out. For positive density a third quantized cosmological model is considered and the Planckian spectrum of ``created universes'' is obtained.

S-brane solutions with (anti-)self-dual parallel charge density form on a Ricci-flat submanifold

A D-dimensional cosmological model with several scalar fields and antisymmetric (p+2)-form is considered. For dimensions D = 4m+1 = 5, 9, 13, ... and p = 2m-1 = 1, 3, 5, ... we obtain a family of new cosmological type solutions with 4m-dimensional oriented Ricci-flat submanifold N of Euclidean signature. These solutions are characterized by a self-dual or anti-self-dual parallel charge density form Q of rank 2m defined on N. The (sub)manifold N may be chosen to be K\ddot{a}hler, or hyper-K\ddot{a}hler one, or 8-dimensional manifold of Spin(7) holonomy. The generalization of solutions to a chain of extra marginal) Ricci-flat factor-spaces is also presented. Solutions with accelerated expansion of extra factor-spaces are singled out. Certain examples of new solutions for IIA supergravity and for a chain of B_D-models in dimensions D = 14, 15, ... are considered.

Electric S-brane solutions with parallel forms on Ricci-flat factor space

In this paper we generalize electric S-brane solutions with maximal number of branes. Previously for the action containing D-dimensional gravity, a scalar field and antisymmetric (p+2)-form we found composite, electric S-brane solutions with all non-zero ``charge'' densities which obeyed self-duality or anti-self-duality relations. These solutions occurred when D = 4m+1 = 5, 9, 13, >... and p = 2m-1 = 1, 3, 5, ... Here we generalize these solutions to the case when the spatial 4m-dimensional submanifold is Ricci-flat rather than simply Euclidean-flat and the charge density form is a parallel self-dual or anti-self-dual form of rank 2m. Also generalizations are found for the case when there is an extra ``internal'' Ricci-flat manifold not covered by the S-branes. In the case when one allows a phantom scalar field a subset of these solutions lead to accelerated expansion of this extra spatial factor space not covered by the S-branes while the other spatial factor space of dimension 4m contracts. Some of these S-brane solutions also provide specific examples of solutions of type IIA supergravity.

Electric S-brane solutions with a parallel charge density form on a Ricci-flat factor space

We generalize the previously studied cosmological solutions in D-dimensional gravity with an antisymmetric (p+2)-form to the case when the spatial part of the metric is Ricci-flat rather than flat. These generalized solutions are characterized by a parallel self-dual or anti-self-dual charge density form Q of rank 2m and satisfy the condition Q^2 >0. As with the previous flat-space case, these electric, S-brane solutions only exist when D=4m+1 = 5, 9, 13, ... and p= 2m -1 = 1, 3, 5, .... We further generalize these solutions by adding Ricci-flat factor-spaces which are not covered by branes.
