Time and temperature dependent correlation functions of the 1D impenetrable electron gas

We consider the one-dimensional delta-interacting electron gas in the case of infinite repulsion. We use determinant representations to study the long time, large distance asymptotics of correlation functions of local fields in the gas phase. We derive differential equations which drive the correlation functions. Using a related Riemann-Hilbert problem we obtain formulae for the asymptotics of the correlation functions, which are valid at all finite temperatures. At low temperatures these formulae lead to explicit asymptotic expressions for the correlation functions, which describe power law behavior and exponential decay as functions of temperature, magnetic field and chemical potential.

Correlations in the impenetrable electron gas

We consider non-relativistic electrons in one dimension with infinitely strong repulsive delta function interaction. We calculate the long-time, large-distance asymptotics of field-field correlators in the gas phase. The gas phase at low temperatures is characterized by the ideal gas law. We calculate the exponential decay, the power law corrections and the constant factor of the asymptotics. Our results are valid at any temperature. They simplify at low temperatures, where they are easily recognized as products of free fermionic correlation functions with corrections arising due to the interaction.

Comment on the paper ``Bound States in the One-dimensional Hubbard Model''

We comment on the preprint cond-mat/9805103 by D. Braak and N. Andrei \cite{BrAn98}. We point out that the ``new'' Bethe Ansatz equations presented in \cite{BrAn98} are identical to the Bethe equations for strings introduced by M. Takahashi for the description of thermodynamics in 1972 \cite{Takahashi72}. Some physics suggested in \cite{BrAn98} is incorrect. In particular, all former conclusions made on the basis of the string Bethe equations remain valid.

The determinant representation for quantum correlation functions of the sinh-Gordon model

We consider the quantum sinh-Gordon model in this paper. Using known formulae for form factors we sum up all their contributions and obtain a closed expression for a correlation function. This expression is a determinant of an integral operator. Similar determinant representations were proven to be useful not only in the theory of correlation functions, but also in the matrix models.

Normal Ordering in the Theory of Correlation Functions of Exactly Solvable Models

We study models of quantum statistical mechanics which can be solved by the algebraic Bethe ansatz. The general method of calculation of correlation functions is based on the method of determinant representations. The auxiliary Fock space and auxiliary Bose fields are introduced in order to remove the two body scattering and represent correlation functions as a mean value of a determinant of a Fredholm integral operator; the representation has a simple form for large space and time separations. In this paper we explain how to calculate the mean value in the auxiliary Fock space of asymptotic expression of the Fredholm determinant. It is necessary for the evaluation of the asymptotic form of the physical correlation functions.

The Riemann-Hilbert problem associated with the quantum Nonlinear Schrodinger equation

We consider the dynamical correlation functions of the quantum Nonlinear Schrodinger equation. In a previous paper we found that the dynamical correlation functions can be described by the vacuum expectation value of an operator-valued Fredholm determinant. In this paper we show that a Riemann-Hilbert problem can be associated with this Fredholm determinant. This Riemann-Hilbert problem formulation permits us to write down completely integrable equations for the Fredholm determinant and to perform an asymptotic analysis for the correlation function.

Scattering of Plane Waves in Self-Dual Yang-Mills Theory

We consider the classical self-dual Yang-Mills equation in 3+1-dimensional Minkowski space. We have found an exact solution, which describes scattering of $n$ plane waves. In order to write the solution in a compact form, it is convenient to introduce a scattering operator $\hat{T}$. It acts in the direct product of three linear spaces: 1) universal enveloping of $su(N)$ Lie algebra, 2) $n$-dimensional vector space and 3) space of functions defined on the unit interval.

$XXZ$ model as effective Hamiltonian for generalized Hubbard models with broken $η$-symmetry

We consider the limit of strong Coulomb attraction for generalized Hubbard models with $η$-symmetry. In this limit these models are equivalent to the ferromagnetic spin-1/2 Heisenberg quantum spin chain. In order to study the behaviour of the superconducting phase in the electronic model under perturbations which break the $η$-symmetry we investigate the ground state of the ferromagnetic non-critical $XXZ$-chain in the sector with fixed magnetization. It turns out to be a large bound state of $N$ magnons. We find that the perturbations considered here lead to the disappearance of the off-diagonal longe-range order.

The Yangian symmetry of the Hubbard Model

We discovered new hidden symmetry of the one-dimensional Hubbard model. We showthat the one-dimensional Hubbard model on the infinite chain has the infinite-dimensional algebra of symmetries. This algebra is a direct sum of two $ sl(2) $-Yangians. This $ Y(sl(2)) \oplus Y(sl(2)) $ symmetry is an extension of the well-known $ sl(2) \oplus sl(2) $ . The deformation parameters of the Yangians are equal up to the signs to the coupling constant of the Hubbard model hamiltonian.

Temperature Correlations of Quantum Spins

Isotropic XY is considered. It describes interaction of quantum spins on 1-dimesional lattice. Alternatevly one can call the model XXO Hiesenberg antiferromagnet. We solved long standing problem of evaluation of temperature corelations. We proved that correlation function of the model is $τ$ function of Ablowitz-Ladik PDE. We explicitly evaluated asymptotics.
