Mass shell smearing effects in top pair production

The top quark pair production and decay are considered in the framework of the smeared-mass unstable particles model. The results for total and differential cross sections in vicinity of $t\bar{t}$ threshold are in good agreement with the previous ones in the literature. The strategy of calculations of the higher order corrections in the framework of the model is discussed. Suggested approach significantly simplifies calculations compared to the standard perturbative one and can serve as a convenient tool for fast and precise preliminary analysis of processes involving intermediate time-like top quark exchanges in the near-threshold region.

Factorization effects in a model of unstable particles

The effects of factorization are considered within the framework of the model of unstable particles with a smeared mass. It is shown that two-particle cross section and three-particle decay width can be described by the universal factorized formulae for an unstable particles of an arbitrary spin in an intermediate state. The exact factorization is caused by the specific structure of the model unstable-particle propagators. This result is generalized to complicated scattering and decay-chain processes with unstable particles in intermediate states. We analyze applicability of the method and evaluate its accuracy.

Near-threshold boson pair production in the model of smeared-mass unstable particles

Near-threshold production of boson pairs is considered within the framework of the model of unstable particles with smeared mass. We describe the principal aspects of the model and consider the strategy of calculations including the radiative corrections. The results of calculations are in good agreement with LEP II data and Monte-Carlo simulations. Suggested approach significantly simplifies calculations with respect to the standard perturbative one.

Neutralino-nucleon interaction in the Split SUSY scenario of the Dark Matter

The Split SUSY scenario with light Higgsino states is treated as an application to the Dark Matter problem. We have considered the structure of the neutralino-nucleon interaction and calculated cross-section of the neutralino-nucleon scattering. The decay properties of the lightest chargino and next lightest neutralino are analyzed in details.

Factorization method in the model of unstable particles with a smeared mass

The method of factorization, based on the model of unstable particles with a smeared mass, is applied to the processes with an unstable particle in the intermediate state. It was shown, that in the framework of the method suggested, the decay rate and cross-section can be represented in the universal factorized form for an arbitrary set of particles. An exact factorization is caused by the specific structure of unstable particles propagators. We performed the phenomenological analysis of the factorization effect.

Finite-width effects in the mixing of neutral mesons

We analyze a contribution of the finite-width (mass-smearing) effects to the mixing of neutral mesons. It was shown, that this contribution is dominant in the D-meson system and large in the K-meson one. An account of the mass-smearing effects allows to explain some discrepancy between standard predictions and experimental data in these cases.

The convolution formula for a decay rate

The convolution formula is derived within the framework of the decay-chain method for decay channels with three and four particles in a final state. To get this formula exactly for unstable particle of any type one must modify the propagators of vector and spinor fields. In this work we suggest proper modifications and get the convolution formula by direct calculation. It was noted that this approach naturally arises in the model of unstable particles with random mass.

Diagonalization of the neutralino mass matrix and boson-neutralino interaction

We analyze a connection between neutralino mass sign, parity and structure of the neutralino-boson interaction. Correct calculation of spin-dependent and spin-independent contributions to neutralino-nuclear scattering should consider this connection. A convenient diagonalization procedure, based on the exponetial parametrization of unitary matrix, is suggested.

The convolution model of unstable particles

Quantum field model of unstable particles with random mass is suggested to describe the finite-width effects in decay rate. Within the framework of this model we derive the convolution formula for a width of the channels with unstable particle in a final state. The distribution function of random mass is considered for ustable particles of arbitrary type

High energy Gamma-Ray Bursts as a result of the collapse and total annihilation of neutralino clumps

Rare astrophysical events - cosmological gamma-ray bursts with energies over GeV - are considered as an origin of information about some SUSY parameters. The model of generation of the powerful gamma-ray bursts is proposed. According to this model the gamma-ray burst represents as a result of the collapse and the total annihilation of the neutralino clump. About 80 % of the clump mass radiates during about 100 second at the final stage of annihilation. The annihilation spectrum and its characteristic energies are calculated in the framework of Split Higgsino model.
