Invariant Differential Operators for Non-Compact Lie Groups: the $E_{6(-14)}$ case

In the present paper we continue the project of systematic explicit construction of invariant differential operators. On the example of the non-compact exceptional group $E_{6(-14)}$ we give the multiplets of indecomposable elementary representations. This includes the data for all relevant invariant differential operators.

Intertwining Operator Realization of Non-Relativistic Holography

We give a group-theoretic interpretation of non-relativistic holography as equivalence between representations of the Schrodinger algebra describing bulk fields and boundary fields. Our main result is the explicit construction of the boundary-to-bulk operators in the framework of representation theory (without specifying any action). Further we show that these operators and the bulk-to-boundary operators are intertwining operators. In analogy to the relativistic case, we show that each bulk field has two boundary fields with conjugated conformal weights. These fields are related by another intertwining operator given by a two-point function on the boundary. Analogously to the relativistic result of Klebanov-Witten we give the conditions when both boundary fields are physical. Finally, we recover in our formalism earlier non-relativistic results for scalar fields by Son and others.

Invariant Differential Operators and Characters of the AdS_4 Algebra

The aim of this paper is to apply systematically to AdS_4 some modern tools in the representation theory of Lie algebras which are easily generalised to the supersymmetric and quantum group settings and necessary for applications to string theory and integrable models. Here we introduce the necessary representations of the AdS_4 algebra and group. We give explicitly all singular (null) vectors of the reducible AdS_4 Verma modules. These are used to obtain the AdS_4 invariant differential operators. Using this we display a new structure - a diagram involving four partially equivalent reducible representations one of which contains all finite-dimensional irreps of the AdS_4 algebra. We study in more detail the cases involving UIRs, in particular, the Di and the Rac singletons, and the massless UIRs. In the massless case we discover the structure of sets of 2s_0-1 conserved currents for each spin s_0 UIR, s_0=1,3/2,... All massless cases are contained in a one-parameter subfamily of the quartet diagrams mentioned above, the parameter being the spin s_0. Further we give the classification of the so(5,C) irreps presented in a diagramatic way which makes easy the derivation of all character formulae. The paper concludes with a speculation on the possible applications of the character formulae to integrable models.

Higher Dimensional Multiparameter Unitary and Nonunitary Braid Matrices: Even Dimensions

A class of $(2n)^2\times(2n)^2$ multiparameter braid matrices are presented for all $n$ $(n\geq 1)$. Apart from the spectral parameter $θ$, they depend on $2n^2$ free parameters $m_{ij}^{(\pm)}$, $i,j=1,...,n$. For real parameters the matrices $R(θ)$ are nonunitary. For purely imaginary parameters they became unitary. Thus a unification is achieved with odd dimensional multiparameter solutions presented before.

Representations and characters of the Virasoro algebra and N=1 super-Virasoro algebras

We present the list of irreducible (generalized) highest weight modules over the Virasoro algebra and N=1 super-Virasoro algebras obtained as factor-modules of (generalized) Verma modules. We present also the character formulae of all these modules and single out the unitary irreducible ones. Most formulas are valid for the three algebras under consideration, the different cases being distinguished by two parameters. This is a slightly extended version of an Encyclopedia entry.

Higher Dimensional Unitary Braid Matrices: Construction, Associated Structures and Entanglements

We construct $(2n)^2\times (2n)^2$ unitary braid matrices $\hat{R}$ for $n\geq 2$ generalizing the class known for $n=1$. A set of $(2n)\times (2n)$ matrices $(I,J,K,L)$ are defined. $\hat{R}$ is expressed in terms of their tensor products (such as $K\otimes J$), leading to a canonical formulation for all $n$. Complex projectors $P_{\pm}$ provide a basis for our real, unitary $\hat{R}$. Baxterization is obtained. Diagonalizations and block-diagonalizations are presented. The loss of braid property when $\hat{R}$ $(n>1)$ is block-diagonalized in terms of $\hat{R}$ $(n=1)$ is pointed out and explained. For odd dimension $(2n+1)^2\times (2n+1)^2$, a previously constructed braid matrix is complexified to obtain unitarity. $\hat{R}\mathrm{LL}$- and $\hat{R}\mathrm{TT}$-algebras, chain Hamiltonians, potentials for factorizable $S$-matrices, complex non-commutative spaces are all studied briefly in the context of our unitary braid matrices. Turaev construction of link invariants is formulated for our case. We conclude with comments concerning entanglements.

q-Conformal Invariant Equations and q-Plane Wave Solutions

We give new solutions of the quantum conformal deformations of the full Maxwell equations in terms of deformations of the plane wave. We study the compatibility of these solutions with the conservation of the current. We also start the study of quantum linear conformal (Weyl) gravity by writing the corresponding q-deformed equations.

Exotic Bialgebra S03: Representations, Baxterisation and Applications

The exotic bialgebra S03, defined by a solution of the Yang-Baxter equation, which is not a deformation of the trivial, is considered. Its FRT dual algebra $s03_F$ is studied. The Baxterisation of the dual algebra is given in two different parametrisations. The finite-dimensional representations of $s03_F$ are considered. Diagonalisations of the braid matrices are used to yield remarkable insights concerning representations of the L-algebra and to formulate the fusion of finite-dimensional representations. Possible applications are considered, in particular, an exotic eight-vertex model and an integrable spin-chain model.

New Generalized Verma Modules and Multilinear Intertwining Differential Operators

The present paper contains two interrelated developments. First, are proposed new generalized Verma modules. They are called k-Verma modules, k\in N, and coincide with the usual Verma modules for k=1. As a vector space a k-Verma module is isomorphic to the symmetric tensor product of k copies of the universal enveloping algebra U(g^-), where g^- is the subalgebra of lowering generators in the standard triangular decomposition of a simple Lie algebra g = g^+ \oplus h \oplus g^- . The second development is the proposal of a procedure for the construction of multilinear intertwining differential operators for semisimple Lie groups G . This procedure uses k-Verma modules and coincides for k=1 with a procedure for the construction of linear intertwining differential operators. For all k central role is played by the singular vectors of the k-Verma modules. Explicit formulae for series of such singular vectors are given. Using these are given explicitly many new examples of multilinear intertwining differential operators. In particular, for G = SL(2,R) are given explicitly all bilinear intertwining differential operators. Using the latter, as an application are constructed (n/2)-differentials for all n\in 2N, the ordinary Schwarzian being the case n=4. As another application, in a Note Added we propose a new hierarchy of nonlinear equations, the lowest member being the KdV equation.

Spectral Decomposition and Baxterisation of Exotic Bialgebras and Associated Noncommutative Geometries

We study the geometric aspects of two exotic bialgebras S03 and S14 introduced in math.QA/0206053. These bialgebras are obtained by the Faddeev-Reshetikhin-Takhtajan RTT prescription with non-triangular R-matrices which are denoted $R_{03}$ and $R_{14}$ in the classification of Hietarinta, and they are not deformations of either GL(2) or GL(1/1). We give the spectral decomposition which involves two, resp., three, projectors. These projectors are then used to provide the Baxterisation procedure with one, resp., two, parameters. Further, the projectors are used to construct the noncommutative planes together with the corresponding differentials following the Wess-Zumino prescription. In all these constructions there appear non-standard features which are noted. Such features show the importance of systematic study of all bialgebras of four generators.

Exotic bialgebras : non-deformation quantum groups

In the classification of solutions of the Yang--Baxter equation, there are solutions that are not deformations of the trivial solution (essentially the identity). We consider the algebras defined by these solutions, and the corresponding dual algebras. We then study the representations of the latter. We are also interested in the Baxterisation of these $R$-matrices and in the corresponding quantum planes.

q-difference intertwining operators for $U_q(sl(n))$: general setting and the case $n=3$

We construct representations $\hatπ_{\br}$ of the quantum algebra $U_q(sl(n))$ labelled by $n-1$ complex numbers $r_i$ and acting in the space of formal power series of $n(n-1)/2$ non-commuting variables. These variables generate a flag manifold of the matrix quantum group $SL_q(n)$ which is dual to $U_q(sl(n))$. The conditions for reducibility of $\hatπ_{\br}$ and the procedure for the construction of the $q$ - difference intertwining operators are given. The representations and $q$ - difference intertwining operators are given in the most explicit form for $n=3$. In the Note Added some general results for arbitrary $n$ are given.

Duality and Representations for New Exotic Bialgebras

We find the exotic matrix bialgebras which correspond to the two non-triangular nonsingular 4x4 R-matrices in the classification of Hietarinta, namely, R_{S0,3} and R_{S1,4}. We find two new exotic bialgebras S03 and S14 which are not deformations of the of the classical algebras of functions on GL(2) or GL(1|1). With this we finalize the classification of the matrix bialgebras which unital associative algebras generated by four elements. We also find the corresponding dual bialgebras of these new exotic bialgebras and study their representation theory in detail. We also discuss in detail a special case of R_{S1,4} in which the corresponding algebra turns out to be a special case of the two-parameter quantum group deformation GL_{p,q}(2).
