On differential operators and linear differential equations on torus

In this paper, we consider periodic boundary value problems for differential equations whose coefficients are trigonometric polynomials. We construct the spaces of generalized functions, where such problems have solutions. In particular, the solvability space of a periodic analogue of the Mizohata equation is constructed. We build also a periodic analogue and a generalization of the construction of the nonstandard analysis, where infinitely smalls are not only functions, but also functional spaces. To show that not all constructions on the torus lead to a simplification in compare with the plane, we consider a periodic analogue of the hypoelliptic differential operator and show that its number-theoretic properties are significant. In particular, it turns out that if a polynomial with integer coefficients is irreducible in the rational field, then the corresponding differential operator is hypoelliptic on the torus.

On Dirichlet, Poncelet and Abel problems

We propose interconnections between some problems of PDE, geometry, algebra, calculus and physics. Uniqueness of a solution of the Dirichlet problem and of some other boundary value problems for the string equation inside an arbitrary biquadratic algebraic curve is considered. It is shown that a solution is non-unique if and only if a corresponding Poncelet problem for two conics has a periodic trajectory. A set of problems is proven to be equivalent to the above problem. Among them are the solvability problem of the algebraic Pell-Abel equation and the indeterminacy problem of a new moment problem that generalizes the well-known trigonometrical moment problem. Solvability criteria of the above-mentioned problems can be represented in form $θ\in\Bbb Q$ where number $θ=m/n$ is built by means of data for a problem to solve. We also demonstrate close relations of the above-mentioned problems to such problems of modern mathematical physics as elliptic solutions of the Toda chain, static solutions of the classical Heisenberg $XY$-chain and biorthogonal rational functions on elliptic grids in the theory of the Padé interpolation.

On the spectrum and eigenfunctions of the equivariant general boundary value problem outside the ball for the Schrödinger operator with Coulomb potential

We consider the Schrödinger equation for hydrogen-like atom with Coulomb potential and non-point ball nucleus. The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the operator given by an arbitrary rotation-invariant boundary value problem on the spherical boundary of the nucleus are found and as it is proved to be the eigenvalues are independent on selection of any such boundary value problem and they are the same as for point nucleus.
