Connection between complete and Moebius forms of gauge invariant operators

We study the connection between complete representations of gauge invariant operators and their Moebius representations acting in a limited space of functions. The possibility to restore the complete representations from Moebius forms in the coordinate space is proven and a method of restoration is worked out. The operators for transition from the standard BFKL kernel to the quasi-conformal one are found both in Moebius and total representations.

Matching of the low-x evolution kernels

We demonstrate that the ambiguity of the low-x evolution kernels in the next-to-leading order (NLO) permits one to match the Mobius form of the BFKL kernel and the kernel of the colour dipole model and to construct the Mobius invariant NLO BFKL kernel in N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory.

On the discrepancy of the low-x evolution kernels

It is shown that in the case of the forward scattering the most part of the difference between the Möbius form of the BFKL kernel and the BK kernel in the next-to-leading order (NLO) can be eliminated by the transformation related to the choice of the energy scale in the representation of scattering amplitudes. Change of the nonforward BFKL kernel under this transformation is derived as well. The functional identity of the forward BFKL kernel in the momentum and Möbius representations in the leading order (LO) is exhibited and its NLO validity in N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory is proved.

The dipole form of the gluon part of the BFKL kernel

The dipole form of the gluon part of the colour singlet BFKL kernel in the next-to-leading order (NLO) is obtained in the coordinate representation by direct transfer from the momentum representation, where the kernel was calculated before. With this paper the transformation of the NLO BFKL kernel to the dipole form, started a few months ago with the quark part of the kernel, is completed.

Quark regge trajectory in two loops from unitarity relations

The two-loop quark Regge trajectory is obtained at arbitrary space-time dimension D using the s-channel unitarity conditions. Although explicit calculations are performed for massless quarks, the method used allows to find the trajectory for massive quarks as well. At D->4 the trajectory turns into one derived earlier from the high-energy limit of the two-loop amplitude for the quark-gluon scattering. The comparison of two expressions, obtained by quite different methods, serves as a strict cross check of many intermediate results used in the calculations, and their agreement gives a strong evidence of accuracy of these results.

Proof of the multi-Regge form of QCD amplitudes with gluon exchanges in the NLA

The multi--Regge form of QCD amplitudes with gluon exchanges is proved in the next-to-leading approximation. The proof is based on the bootstrap relations, which are required for the compatibility of this form with the s-channel unitarity. We show that the fulfillment of all these relations ensures the Reggeized form of energy dependent radiative corrections order by order in perturbation theory. Then we prove that all these relations are fulfilled if several bootstrap conditions on the Reggeon vertices and trajectory hold true. Now all these conditions are checked and proved to be satisfied.

A proof of the reggeized form of amplitudes with quark exchanges

A complete proof of the quark Reggeization hypothesis in the leading logarithmic approximation for any quark--gluon inelastic process in the multi--Regge kinematics in all orders of $α_s$ is given. First, we show that the multi--Regge form of QCD amplitudes is guarantied if a set of conditions on the Reggeon vertices and the trajectories is fulfilled. Then, we examine these conditions and show that they are satisfied.

The gluon Reggeization in perturbative QCD at NLO

Compatibility of the Reggeized form of QCD multi-particle amplitudes with the s-channel unitarity requires fulfilment of an infinite number of the "bootstrap" relations. On the other hand, it turns out that fulfillment of all these relations ensures the Reggeized form of energy dependent radiative corrections order by order in perturbation theory. It is extremely nontrivial, that all these relations are fulfilled if the Reggeon vertices and trajectory satisfy several bootstrap conditions. The full set of these conditions in the next-to-leading order was derived in the last year and the ultimate condition was shown to be satisfied recently. It means that the Reggeization hypothesis is proved now in the next-to-leading approximation.

Non-forward BFKL Pomeron at next-to-leading order

The kernel of the BFKL equation for non-zero momentum transfer is found at next-to-leading order. It is presented in various forms depending on the regularization of the infrared singularities in "virtual" and "real" parts of the kernel. The infrared safety of the total kernel is demonstrated and a form free from the singularities is suggested.

Solution of the Fan Diagram Equation in 2+1 Dimensional QCD

We investigate the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation for D=3 space-time dimensions, corresponding to one transverse coordinate, and we show that it can be solved analytically. The explicit solutions are found in the linear approximation and for the paricular cases when they do not depend on the impact parameter of the dipole or on its rapidity. It is shown, that in a general case different solutions are related by an infinite parameter group of transformations. The key observation is that the equation has the Kowalewskaya-Painlevé property, which gives the possibility of reducing the non-linear problem to the solution of a linear integral equation.

The Bootstrap Conditions for the Gluon Reggeization

Compatibility of gluon Reggeization with s-channel unitarity requires the vertices of the Reggeon interactions to satisfy a series of bootstrap conditions. In order to derive, in the next-to-leading order (NLO), conditions related to the gluon production amplitudes, we calculate the s-channel discontinuities of these amplitudes and compare them with those required by the Reggeization. It turns out that these conditions include the so called strong bootstrap conditions for the kernel and for the impact factors of scattering particles, which were proposed earlier without derivation, and recently were proved to be satisfied. Besides this, there is a new bootstrap condition, which relates a number of Reggeon vertices and the gluon trajectory.

On the Calculation of the NLO Virtual Photon Impact Factor

The definition of the virtual photon impact factor involves the integration of the s-channel discontinuity of the photon-Reggeon scattering amplitude over the right cut. It permits to formulate a new approach for the calculation of the impact factor based on analytical properties of the amplitude in question. In the next-to-leading order it may give a possibility for considerable simplification of the calculation. We have shown that a part of the diagrams contributing to the impact factor can be treated without their real calculation.

Radiative Corrections to QCD Amplitudes in Quasi-Multi-Regge Kinematics

Radiative corrections to QCD amplitudes in the quasi-multi-Regge kinematics are interesting in particular since the Reggeized form of these amplitudes is used in the derivation of the NLO BFKL. This form is a hypothesis which must be at least carefully checked, if not proved. We calculate the radiative corrections in the one-loop approximation using the s-channel unitarity. Compatibility of the Reggeized form of the amplitudes with the s-channel unitarity requires fulfillment of the set of nonlinear equations for the Reggeon vertices. We show that these equations are satisfied.

High-Energy QCD Asymptotics of Photon-Photon Collisions

The high-energy behaviour of the total cross section for highly virtual photons, as predicted by the BFKL equation at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD, is discussed. The NLO BFKL predictions, improved by the BLM optimal scale setting, are in good agreement with recent OPAL and L3 data at CERN LEP2. NLO BFKL predictions for future linear colliders are presented.

The BFKL Pomeron within Physical Renormalization Schemes and Scales

In this lecture the next-to-leading order (NLO) corrections to the QCD Pomeron intercept obtained from the Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) equation are discussed. It is shown that the BFKL Pomeron intercept when evaluated in non-Abelian physical renormalization schemes with Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie (BLM) optimal scale setting does not exhibit the serious problems encountered in the modified minimal subtraction (bar{MS}) scheme. The results obtained provide an opportunity for applications of the NLO BFKL resummation to high-energy phenomenology. One of such applications for virtual gamma-gamma total cross section shows a good agreement with preliminary data at CERN LEP.

A proof of fulfillment of the strong bootstrap condition

It is shown that the kernel of the BFKL equation for the octet color state of two Reggeized gluons satisfies the strong bootstrap condition in the next-to-leading order. This condition is much more restrictive than the one obtained from the requirement of Reggeized form for the elastic scattering amplitudes in the next-to-leading approximation. It is necessary, however, for self-consistency of the assumption of Reggeized form of the production amplitudes in multi-Regge kinematics, which are used in the derivation of the BFKL equation. The fulfillment of the strong bootstrap condition for the kernel opens a way to a rigorous proof of the BFKL equation in the next-to-leading approximation.

The quark Regge trajectory at two loops

The hypothesis of the quark Reggeization is tested by taking the high-energy limit of the two-loop amplitude for quark-gluon scattering which was recently calculated. The limit is compatible with the Reggeization in the leading and the next-to-leading orders and allows the determination of the quark trajectory in the two-loop approximation. The trajectory is presented as an expansion in powers of (D-4) for the space-time dimension $D$ tending to the physical value D=4.
