New Cyclotron Resonances

The possibilities and conditions of effective interaction, in particular acceleration, of charged particles by the field of plane electromagnetic wave in the presence of an external constant mag-netic field are considered. It is shown that the well-known conditions of cyclotron resonances require generalization. New conditions for the resonant interaction of charged particles are for-mulated, which contain not only the strength of the external magnetic field (as the well-known conditions of cyclotron resonances) but also the field strength of the wave. strengths. It is shown that new resonance conditions open up new possibilities for effective particle acceleration.

Scalable repeater architectures for multi-party states

The vision to develop quantum networks entails multi-user applications, which require the generation of long-distance multi-party entangled states. The current rapid experimental progress in building prototype-networks calls for new design concepts to guide future developments. Here we describe an experimentally feasible scheme implementing a two-dimensional repeater network for robust distribution of three-party entangled states of GHZ type in the presence of excitation losses and detector dark counts --- the main sources of errors in real-world hardware. Our approach is based on atomic or solid state ensembles and employs built-in error filtering mechanisms peculiar to intrinsically two-dimensional networks. This allows us to overcome the performance limitation of conventional one-dimensional ensemble-based networks distributing multi-party entangled states and provides an efficient design for future experiments with a clear perspective in terms of scalability.

Heterogeneous adsorption potential of 3He in silica aerogel and its influence on magnetic relaxation of 3He

Significant influence of aerogel surface heterogeneity on the processes of 3He nuclear magnetic relaxation at temperatures 1.5 - 4.2 K is discovered. This influence appears, for instance, in differences of 3He T1 relaxation times for small portion of 3He, adsorbed at different temperatures. Binding energy data of 3He on the surface of powder silica aerogel obtained experimentally and binding energy lies in the wide range. Adsorbed 3He molecules with binding energies 60-250 K play supreme role in processes of nuclear magnetic relaxation of gaseous and liquid 3He in aerogel.

Thermalization of the system "3He-aerogel" at 1.5 K

At the present work we propose a new method for studying the processes of thermodynamic equilibrium setting in the adsorbed 3He film in a porous media. By this method we have studied the thermalization of the adsorbed 3He on the silica aerogel surface at the temperature 1.5 K. The process of the thermodynamic equilibrium setting was controlled by measuring of the pressure in the experimental cell, the amplitude of the NMR signal and the time of the nuclear spin-spin and spin-lattice relaxation times of an adsorbed 3He. The thermodynamic equilibrium setting in the system "adsorbed helium-3 - aerogel" has the characteristic time 26 min.

NMR of 3He in contact with PrF3 nanoparticles at low temperatures

Two nanosized PrF3 samples were synthesized using two different procedures. The X-ray and HRTEM experiments showed high crystallinity of synthesized sample. Comparison of enhanced 141Pr NMR spectra of microsized (45 $μ$m) and nanosized PrF3 powder is presented. Experimental data on spin kinetics of 3He in contact with PrF3 nanoparticles at T = 1.5 K are reported.

3He NMR in porous media: Inverse Laplace transformation

For the first time the inverse Laplace transform was applied for analysis of 3He relaxation in porous media. It was shown that inverse Laplace transform gives new information about these systems. The uniform-penalty algorithm has been performed to obtain the 3He relaxation times distribution in pores of clay sample. It is possible to obtain pores' sizes distribution by using applicable model. Keywords: inverse Laplace transform, uniform-penalty algorithm, liquid 3He, 3He, He3, He-3, helium-3, pulse nuclear magnetic resonance, clay, porous media.

NMR of liquid 3He in clay pores at 1.5 K

In the present work a new method for studying porous media by nuclear magnetic resonance of liquid 3He has been proposed. This method has been demonstrated in an example of a clay mineral sample. For the first time the integral porosity of clay sample has been measured. For investigated samples the value of integral porosity is in the range of 10-30%. Inverse Laplace transform of 3He longitudinal magnetization recovery curve has been carried out, thus distribution of relaxation times T1 has been obtained.
