Congruences on Menger algebras

We discuss some types of congruences on Menger algebras of rank $n$, which are generalizations of the principal left and right congruences on semigroups. We also study congruences admitting various types of cancellations and describe their relationship with strong subsets.

Menger algebras of $n$-place opening operations

Algebraic properties of $n$-place opening operations on a fixed set are described. Conditions under which a Menger algebra of rank $n$ can be represented by $n$-place opening operations are found.

Menger algebras of $n$-place functions

It is a survey of the main results on abstract characterizations of algebras of $n$-place functions obtained in the last 40 years. A special attention is paid to those algebras of $n$-place functions which are strongly connected with groups and semigroups, and to algebras of functions closed with respect natural relations defined on their domains.

Subtraction Menger algebras

Abstract characterizations of Menger algebras of partial $n$-place functions defined on a set $A$ and closed under the set-theoretic difference functions treatment as subsets of the Cartesian product $A^{n+1}$ are given.

Stationary subsets of functional Menger $\cap$-algebras of multiplace functions

A functional Menger $\cap$-algebra is a set of n-place functions containing n projections and closed under the so-called Menger's compositions of n-place functions and the set-theoretic intersection of functions. We give the abstract characterization for these subsets of functional Menger $\cap$-algebras which contain functions with fixed points.

Stabilizers of functional Menger systems

A functional Menger system is a set of $n$-place functions containing $n$ projections and closed under the so-called Menger's composition of $n$-place functions. We give the abstract characterization for subsets of these functional systems which contain functions having one common fixed point.

Representations of Menger $(2,n)$-semigroups by multiplace functions

Investigation of partial multiplace functions by algebraic methods plays an important role in modern mathematics were we consider various operations on sets of functions, which are naturally defined. The basic operation for $n$-place functions is an $(n+1)$-ary superposition $[ ]$, but there are some other naturally defined operations, which are also worth of consideration. In this paper we consider binary Mann's compositions $\op{1},...,\op{n}$ for partial $n$-place functions, which have many important applications for the study of binary and $n$-ary operations. We present methods of representations of such algebras by $n$-place functions and find an abstract characterization of the set of $n$-place functions closed with respect to the set-theoretic inclusion.

Representations of $(2,n)$-semigroups by multiplace functions

We describe the representations of $(2,n)$-semigroups, i.e. groupoids with $n$ binary associative operations, by partial $n$-place functions and prove that any such representation is a union of some family of representations induced by Schein's determining pairs.
