Photoluminescence, amplification and generation of optical media in without inversion and of induced radiation

The observation of photoluminescence (PL) or achieve lasing modes in alcohol solutions of dyes or other media (silica glass fibers), doped in small quantities by certain active working elements, which are dipped in the environment, do not requires start the inversion, since the main role in time of the optical pumping process is given four-photon interaction and the associated amplification of those frequency components, that result from this interaction, and participating in the PL or generation.

Photoluminecsence and Generation of Golmium (Ho) Atoms in the Glassfiber and in the Cristall Media

The purpose of the given message - interpretation of the processes providing a photoluminescence and laser generation in spectral area 2000 nm at use as the active laser environment cristall or glass material, activated by an atomicholmium. Offered in article interpretation is based on use of the law of the conservation of energy, which attraction allows to reveal in an atomic holmium the transitions responsible for a photoluminecsence in specified area of a spectrum (2000 nm).

On speed of a photon in a dispersing medium

On speed of a photon in a dispersing medium Ogluzdin Valeriy E. Abstract Based on the author of the experimental results and their treatment, a model that demonstrates that the real dispersive medium in spectral regions where the refractive index greater than unity, the velocity of propagation of photons in this environment corresponds to the phase velocity of light. These portions of the spectrum (for example, atomic potassium vapor or other alkali metal) are from low-frequency side of the main lines of the doublet and are available for research using tunable lasers. In the calculations took into account the fact that the atomic vapor of alkali metal used as a dispersing medium, in accordance with the theory of dispersion in the above sections of the spectrum, on the periphery of the cross section of laser beam with Gaussian intensity distribution across the beam - in the shadows refractive index n (ν) is greater than unity, and the axis of the beam, where the radiation intensity is maximum - for radiation following the leading edge of the light pulse, the refractive index is unity, which ensures smooth on the beam axis, without any delay "superluminal "propagation of light with velocity c. This fact causes the appearance of the shadow cone of Vavilov - Cherenkov radiation, indicating a slow propagation of photons from the source of the cone with phase velocity c / n (ν).

Change energy photons of radiation, stimulating a photoluminescence in glasses and optical fiber, activated by bismuth

In the offered review ordering received and published by domestic and foreign researchers of the experimental results showing the phenomenon of a photoluminescence in glasses and optical fiber, activated by bismuth is executed, and from uniform positions representations about the process responsible for a photoluminescence in case of use for excitation of this environment of various laser sources are considered. At interpretation of process of a photoluminescence the known model considering mirror symmetry of features of frequency spectra of a photoluminescence (in this case the maximum values is used: humps or peaks of spectra of a photoluminescence) and the spectra characterising optical losses (absorption) of glass, activated by (atomic) bismuth. For the analysis values of lines of the bismuth, published in reference media are used. This model is added by earlier published specification of the author, according to which to a point of mirror symmetry of such spectra there corresponds frequency of radiation of the source raising a photoluminescence - mean arithmetical of the frequencies of peaks of spectra of a photoluminescence and frequencies of lines atomic bismuth.
