$Δ$ Contribution to $ pp \to ppπ^0$

A model independent discussion of $Δ-$production in $pp \to pp π^0$ is presented and the $Δ-$contributions to the 16 $pp \to ppπ^0$ partial wave amplitudes are identified taking the $Ds$ and $Sd$ channels also into consideration.

Final state polarization of protons in $pp \to pp ω$

Model independent formulae are derived for the polarizations and spin correlations of protons in the final state of $pp \to ppω$, taking into consideration all the six threshold partial wave amplitudes $f_1, ..., f_6$ covering $Ss, Sp$ and $Ps$ channels. It is shown that these measurements of the final state spin observables, employing only an unpolarized beam and an unpolarized target, may be utilized to complement measurements, at the double differential level, suggested earlier [Phys. Rev. \textbf{C78}, 01210(R)(2009)] so that all the six partial wave amplitudes may be determined empirically.

Decay of Polarized Delta

The resonance $Δ(1232)$ with spin-parity ${3 \over 2}^+$, which contributes dominantly to the reactions like $γN \to πN$ and $NN \to NNπ$ at intermediate energies, may be expected to be produced in characteristically different polarized spin states. As such an analysis of the decay of polarized delta is presented, which may be utilized to probe empirically the production mechanism. It is shown that measurements of the angular distributions of the pion and the polarization of the nucleon arising out of ${\vecΔ}$ decay can determine empirically the Fano statistical tensors characterizing the ${\vecΔ}$.

Omega meson production in pp collisions with a polarized beam

Model independent formulae are derived for the beam analyzing power $A_y$ and beam to meson spin transfers in $pp \to pp ω$ taking into consideration all the six threshold partial wave amplitudes covering the $Ss, Sp$ and $Ps$ channels. Attention is also focussed on the empirical determination of the lowest three partial wave amplitudes $f_1, f_2, f_3$ without any discrete ambiguities.

Omega Production in pp Collisions

A model-independent irreducible tensor formalism which has been developed earlier to analyze measurements of $\vec{p}\vec{p}\to pp π^\circ$, is extended to present a theoretical discussion of $\vec{p}\vec{p}\to pp ω$ and the polarization of $ω$ in $pp\to pp \vecω$. The recent measurement of unpolarized differential cross section for $pp\to pp ω$ is analyzed using this theoretical formalism.
