Cross theorems with singularities

We establish extension theorems for separately holomorphic mappings defined on sets of the form W\setminus M with values in a complex analytic space which possesses the Hartogs extension property. Here W is a 2-fold cross of arbitrary complex manifolds and M is a set of singularities which is locally pluripolar (resp. thin) in fibers.

Exponential estimates for plurisubharmonic functions and stochastic dynamics

We prove exponential estimates for plurisubharmonic functions with respect to Monge-Ampere measures with Holder continuous potential. As an application, we obtain several stochastic properties for the equilibrium measures associated to holomorphic maps on projective spaces. More precisely, we prove the exponential decay of correlations, the central limit theorem for general d.s.h. observables, and the large deviations theorem for bounded d.s.h. observables and Holder continuous observables.

A unified approach to the theory of separately holomorphic mappings

We extend the theory of separately holomorphic mappings between complex analytic spaces. Our method is based on Poletsky theory of discs, Rosay Theorem on holomorphic discs and our recent joint-work with Pflug on cross theorems in dimension 1. It also relies on our new technique of conformal mappings and a generalization of Siciak's relative extremal function. Our approach illustrates the unified character: ``From local informations to global extensions". Moreover, it avoids systematically the use of the classical method of doubly orthogonal bases of Bergman type.

Boundary cross theorem in dimension 1 with singularities

Let $D$ and $G$ be copies of the open unit disc in $\C,$ let $A$ (resp. $B$) be a measurable subset of $\partial D$ (resp. $\partial G$), let $W$ be the 2-fold cross $\big((D\cup A)\times B\big)\cup \big(A\times(B\cup G)\big),$ and let $M$ be a relatively closed subset of $W.$ Suppose in addition that $A$ and $B$ are of positive one-dimensional Lebesgue measure and that $M$ is fiberwise polar (resp. fiberwise discrete) and that $M\cap (A\times B)=\varnothing.$ We determine the "envelope of holomorphy" $\hat{W\setminus M}$ of $W\setminus M$ in the sense that any function locally bounded on $W\setminus M,$ measurable on $A\times B,$ and separately holomorphic on $\big((A\times G) \cup (D\times B)\big)\setminus M$ "extends" to a function holomorphic on $\hat{W\setminus M}.$

A general version of the Hartogs extension theorem for separately holomorphic mappings between complex analytic spaces

Using recent development in Poletsky theory of discs, we prove the following result: Let $X,$ $Y$ be two complex manifolds, let $Z$ be a complex analytic space which possesses the Hartogs extension property, let $A$ (resp. $B$) be a non locally pluripolar subset of $X$ (resp. $Y$). We show that every separately holomorphic mapping $f: W:=(A\times Y) \cup (X\times B)\longrightarrow Z$ extends to a holomorphic mapping $\hat{f}$ on $\hat{W}:=\left\lbrace(z,w)\in X\times Y:\ \widetildeω(z,A,X)+\widetildeω(w,B,Y)<1 \right\rbrace$ such that $\hat{f}=f$ on $W\cap \hat{W},$ where $\widetildeω(\cdot,A,X)$ (resp. $\widetildeω(\cdot,B,Y))$ is the plurisubharmonic measure of $A$ (resp. $B$) relative to $X$ (resp. $Y$). Generalizations of this result for an $N$-fold cross are also given.

Envelope of holomorphy for boundary cross sets

Let $D\subset \C^n,$ $G\subset \C^m$ be open sets, let $A$ (resp. $B$) be a subset of the boundary $\partial D$ (resp. $\partial G$) and let $W$ be the 2-fold boundary cross $((D\cup A)\times B)\cup (A\times(B\cup G)).$ An open subset $X\subset\C^{n+m} $ is said to be the ``envelope of holomorphy" of $W$ if it is, in some sense, the maximal open set with the following property: Any function locally bounded on $W$ and separately holomorphic on $(A\times G) \cup (D\times B)$ "extends" to a holomorphic function defined on $X$ which admits the boundary values $f$ a.e. on $W.$ In this work we will determine the envelope of holomorphy of some boundary crosses.

Boundary cross theorem in dimension 1

Let $X, Y$ be two complex manifolds of dimension 1 which are countable at infinity, let $D\subset X,$ $ G\subset Y$ be two open sets, let $A$ (resp. $B$) be a subset of $\partial D$ (resp. $\partial G$), and let $W$ be the 2-fold cross $((D\cup A)\times B)\cup (A\times(B\cup G)).$ Suppose in addition that $D$ (resp. $G$) is {\it Jordan-curve-like on $A$} (resp. $B$) and that $A$ and $B$ are {\it of positive length}. We determine the "envelope of holomorphy" $\hat{W}$ of $W$ in the sense that any function locally bounded on $W,$ measurable on $A\times B,$ and separately holomorphic on $(A\times G) \cup (D\times B)$ "extends" to a function holomorphic on the interior of $\hat{W}.$

Generalization of a theorem of Gonchar

Let $X, Y$ be two complex manifolds, let $D\subset X,$ $ G\subset Y$ be two nonempty open sets, let $A$ (resp. $B$) be an open subset of $\partial D$ (resp. $\partial G$), and let $W$ be the 2-fold cross $((D\cup A)\times B)\cup (A\times(B\cup G)).$ Under a geometric condition on the boundary sets $A$ and $B,$ we show that every function locally bounded, separately continuous on $W,$ continuous on $A\times B,$ and separately holomorphic on $(A\times G) \cup (D\times B)$ "extends" to a function continuous on a "domain of holomorphy" $\hat{W}$ and holomorphic on the interior of $\hat{W}.$

Algebraic degrees for iterates of meromorphic self-maps of $¶^k$

We first introduce the class of quasi-algebraically stable meromorphic maps of $¶^k.$ This class is strictly larger than that of algebraically stable meromorphic self-maps of $¶^k.$ Then we prove that all maps in the new class enjoy a recurrent property. In particular, the algebraic degrees for iterates of these maps can be computed and their first dynamical degrees are always algebraic integers.

On Thermodynamics of Rational Maps on the Riemann sphere

We show that there is a spectral gap for the transfer operator associated to a rational map f on the Riemann sphere. Using this and the method of pertubed operators we establish the (Local) Central Limit Theorem for the measure of maximal entropy of f, with an estimate on the speed of convergence.
