The nuclear trace of periodic vector-valued pseudo-differential operators with applications to index theory

In this paper, we investigate the nuclear trace of vector-valued Fourier multipliers on the torus and its applications to the index theory of periodic pseudo-differential operators. First, we characterise the nuclearity of pseudo-differential operators acting on Bochner integrable functions. In this regards, we consider the periodic and the discrete cases. We go on to address the problem of finding sharp sufficient conditions for the nuclearity of vector-valued Fourier multipliers on the torus. We end our investigation with two index formulae. First, we express the index of a vector-valued Fourier multiplier in terms of its operator-valued symbol and then we use this formula for expressing the index of certain elliptic operators belonging to periodic Hörmander classes.

Dixmier traces for discrete pseudo-differential operators

In this paper we provide sharp results for the Dixmier traceability of discrete pseudo-differential operators on $\ell^2(\mathbb{Z}^n)$. In this setting, we introduce a suitable notion of a class of classical symbols which provide a class of Dixmier traceable discrete pseudo-differential operators. We also present a formula for the Dixmier trace of a Dixmier traceable discrete pseudo-differential operator by using the Connes equivalence between the Wodzicki residue and the Dixmier trace.

Schatten Class and nuclear pseudo-differential operators on homogeneous spaces of compact groups

Given a compact (Hausdorff) group $G$ and a closed subgroup $H$ of $G,$ in this paper we present symbolic criteria for pseudo-differential operators on compact homogeneous space $G/H$ characterizing the Schatten-von Neumann classes $S_r(L^2(G/H))$ for all $0<r \leq \infty.$ We go on to provide a symbolic characterization for $r$-nuclear, $0< r \leq 1,$ pseudo-differential operators on $L^{p}(G/H)$-space with applications to adjoint, product and trace formulae. The criteria here are given in terms of the concept of matrix-valued symbols defined on noncommutative analogue of phase space $G/H \times \widehat{G/H}.$ Finally, we present applications of aforementioned results in the context of heat kernels.

Ellipticity and Fredholmness of pseudo-differential operators on $\ell^2(\Zn)$

The minimal operator and the maximal operator of an elliptic pseudo-differential operator with symbols on $\Z^n\times \mathbb{T}^n$ are proved to coincide and the domain is given in terms of a Sobolev space. Ellipticity and Fredholmness are proved to be equivalent for pseudo-differential operators on $\Z^n$. The index of an elliptic pseudo-differential operator on $\Z^n$ is also computed.

$L^p$-boundedness and $L^p$-nuclearity of multilinear pseudo-differential operators on $\mathbb{Z}^n$ and the torus $\mathbb{T}^n$

In this article, we begin a systematic study of the boundedness and the nuclearity properties of multilinear periodic pseudo-differential operators and multilinear discrete pseudo-differential operators on $L^p$-spaces. First, we prove analogues of known multilinear Fourier multipliers theorems (proved by Coifman and Meyer, Grafakos, Tomita, Torres, Kenig, Stein, Fujita, Tao, etc.) in the context of periodic and discrete multilinear pseudo-differential operators. For this, we use the periodic analysis of pseudo-differential operators developed by Ruzhansky and Turunen. Later, we investigate the $s$-nuclearity, $0<s \leq 1,$ of periodic and discrete pseudo-differential operators. To accomplish this, we classify those $s$-nuclear multilinear integral operators on arbitrary Lebesgue spaces defined on $σ$-finite measures spaces. We also study similar properties for periodic Fourier integral operators. Finally, we present some applications of our study to deduce the periodic Kato-Ponce inequality and to examine the $s$-nuclearity of multilinear Bessel potentials as well as the $s$-nuclearity of periodic Fourier integral operators admitting suitable types of singularities.

Orlicz Modules over Coset Spaces of Compact Subgroups in Locally compact Groups

Let $H$ be a compact subgroup of a locally compact group $G$ and let $m$ be the normalized $G$-invariant measure on homogeneous space $G/H$ associated with Weil's formula. Let $φ$ be a Young function satisfying $Δ_2$-condition. We introduce the notion of left module action of $L^1(G/H, m)$ on the Orlicz spaces $L^φ(G/H, m).$ We also introduce a Banach left $L^1(G/H, m)$-submodule of $L^φ(G/H, m).$

Hilbert-Schmidt and Trace Class Pseudo-differential Operators on the Abstract Heisenberg Group

In this paper we introduce and study pseudo-differential operators with operator valued symbols on the abstract Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}(G):=G \times \widehat{G} \times \mathbb{T},$ where $G$ a locally compact abelian group with its dual group $\widehat{G}$. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition on symbols for which these operators are in the class of Hilbert-Schmidt operators. As a key step in proving this we derive a trace formula for the trace class $j$-Weyl transform, $j \in \mathbb{Z}^*$ with symbols in $L^{2}(G\times \widehat{G}).$ We go on to present a characterization of the trace class pseudo-differential operators on $\mathbb{H}(G)$. Finally, we also give a trace formula for these trace class operators.

Ramsey theory for hypergroups

In this paper, Ramsey theory for discrete hypergroups is introduced with emphasis on polynomial hypergroups, discrete orbit hypergroups and hypergroup deformations of semigroups. In this context, new notions of Ramsey principle for hypergroups and $α$-Ramsey hypergroup, $0 \leq α<1,$ are defined and studied.

Topological transitive sequence of cosine operators on Orlicz space

For a Young function $ϕ$ and a locally compact second countable group $G,$ let $L^ϕ(G)$ denote the Orlicz space on $G.$ In this article, we present a necessary and sufficient condition for the topological transitivity of a sequence of cosine operators $\{C_n\}_{n=1}^{\infty}:=\{\frac{1}{2}(T^n_{g,w}+S^n_{g,w})\}_{n=1}^{\infty}$, defined on $L^ϕ(G)$. We investigate the conditions for a sequence of cosine operators to be topological mixing. Moreover, we go on to prove the similar results for the direct sum of a sequence of the cosine operators. At the last, an example of a topological transitive sequence of cosine operators is given.

Hypergroup Deformations of Semigroups

We view the well-known example of the dual of a countable compact hypergroup, motivated by the orbit space of p-adic integers by Dunkl and Ramirez (1975), as hypergroup deformation of the max semigroup structure on the linearly ordered set $\mathbb{Z}_+$ of the non-negative integers along the diagonal. This works as motivation for us to study hypergroups or semi convolution spaces arising from "max" semigroups or general commutative semigroups via hypergroup deformation on idempotents.
