C-parity and Regge Intercepts

In this work, we obtain constraints on the intercepts of the leading Regge pole trajectories- Pomeron and Odderon- implies by C-parity and based on the heuristic argument that C-even exchanges correspond to attractive forces be tween hadrons undergoing elastic scattering, and C-odd exchanges correspond to attractive forces in the case of particle-antiparticle scattering and repulsive forces in the case of particle-particle scattering. In addition, the case of secondary degenerate trajectories is also considered and a lower bound for their intercept is obtained

On Sizes of Hadrons

Recently, various types of "radii" have been intensively discussed in the literature: "charge", "mass", "mechanical", "gravitational", etc. In my report, I analyze the definitions of quantities of such type in terms of matrix elements of local field operators and their relationship to physical (geometric) size. I also try to find out possible (if any) interpretation of the mentioned quantities and point out some serious conceptual difficulties related to the causality principle.

IR fixed point and low-momentum gluon propagator

Assuming the gluon propagator to be finite at $ g^{2}_{s} /4π\equiv α\rightarrow α_{\ast} $, where $ α_{\ast} = α(0) $, we derive its low-momentum asymptotics. In some cases the results modify the known ones. In our work, we also establish the field-theoretical nature of a universal phenomenological parameter introduced in works \cite{Alk} and determining the behaviour of Green's functions in the infrared region. The importance of studying the renormalization group parameters in the vicinity of the infrared stable point is emphasized.

On the Flat Odderon Model

This is a critical discussion of theoretical and descriptive deficiencies of the recently used "flat Odderon" model.

Can the Odderon be "Supercritical"?

Based on the postulate that a $C$-odd exchange leads to repulsion in the particle-particle system (say, $pp$) and to attraction in the antiparticle-particle system (say, $\bar{p}p$), we show that the Odderon intercept cannot be greater than unity.

On Nucleon "Radii"

We show that various nucleon "radii" that appear in the literature, e.g."charge", "gravitational", "mass" or "mechanical, do not have a direct geometric meaning and do not give an idea of the physical size of the nucleon. In the framework of the Gribov parton scheme we also show that at high enough energy a gluon cloud appears beyond the valence core of the nucleon and begins to determine the region of interaction of elastic nucleon-nucleon scattering and the growth of its cross-section.

ATLAS vs TOTEM: Disturbing Divergence

With use of a new $ C+N $ amplitude which correctly accounts for CNI to all orders in $α$ the values of the parameters $ρ^{pp},σ_{\mbox{tot}}^{pp}$ and $B^{pp}$ are analysed on the basis of data published by the TOTEM and ATLAS collaborations at energy $\sqrt{s}= 13$ TeV . The result of both joint and separate analyses of these data confirmed, in particular, a noticeable difference between the central values of $σ^{pp}_{tot}$, as measured by the TOTEM and by the ATLAS-ALFA, reaching up to 8 standard deviations.

On the " Froissaron-Maximal Odderon" Model

We analyse the basic premises of the `` Froissaron-Maximal Odderon" (FMO) model which was claimed to be ``the only existing model which describes the totality of experimental data ". It is shown that the FMO model suffers from serious theoretical flaws while its quality of the data description is such that the probability that it describes the selected set of data is not satisfactory enough.

Twice More On Coulomb-Nuclear Interference

This is an improved and extended exposition of the modified formulas for accounting for Coulomb-nuclear interference in hadron scattering which is intended to dispel recently claimed doubts.

On the momentum transfer dependence of the phase in elastic scattering

The question is discussed: to what extent the often assumed independence of the phase of the elastic scattering amplitude from the momentum transfer \textit{in the region of only small values} of $ t $ limits $ t $-dependence of the phase generally. Analyticity allows to give a proof that if the phase of a strong interaction scattering amplitude is independent on the transferred momentum $ t $ at small values of $ t $ then it does so in all physical region. Moreover, if such an independence holds in any physical energy $ \sqrt{s} $ region including the values infinitesimally close to the first inelastic threshold from below the whole scattering amplitude vanishes. Relationship of the $ t $-dependence of the phase with the size of the interaction range is also discussed.

Coulomb-Nuclear Interference:the Latest Modification

We argue that the account of Coulomb-nuclear interference (CNI) in the differential cross-section of elastic $ pp $ scattering may be easily treated without introduction of intermediate IR regularization ("photon mass"). We also indicate that the parametrization used earlier misses some terms of the second order in $ α$ while it contains a superfluous term of the first order.

The idea of quarks: towards restoring of historical justice

Quite a long time ago several authors (see,e.g., \cite{Der}, \cite{Pe} ) mentioned that among pioneers of the quark idea we should take into consideration one more (in addition to M. Gell-Mann and G. Zweig) author, André Petermann (1922 - 2011). Below we place the English translation of his little known work, originally published in French. We draw attention of the readers to the closesness of the dates: M. Gell-Mann's paper in Phys.Letters was received 4 January 1964, the CERN preprint by G. Zweig is dated by 17 January 1964 while Petermann's paper in Nucl.Phys. was received 30 December 1963.

Bethe's Ansatz for Coulomb -Nuclear Interference Is Incompatible with Additive Eikonal

This is a proof that if the eikonal is, as usually assumed, additive in strong and electro-magnetic interactions then the application of the Bethe Ansatz for the full scattering amplitude leads to the strong interaction scattering amplitude with the ratio ( real/imaginary) independent on the transferred momentum $ t $. Moreover, the unitarity condition makes the strong interaction amplitude vanishing. Thus, the Bethe form for the Coulomb-nuclear scattering amplitude and the same amplitude based on the additive eikonal are incompatible.
