Transitivity in nonautonomous systems

Let $(X,d)$ be a metric space and $f_{1,\infty}=\{f_n\}_{i=0}^{\infty}$ be a sequence of continuous maps $f_n:X\rightarrow X$ such that $(f_n)$ converges uniformly to a continuous map $f$. We investigate which conditions ensure that the transitivity of functions $f_n$ or the transitivity of the nonautonomous system $(X,f_{1,\infty})$ is inherited to the limit function $f$ and vice versa. Such problem have been studied for instance by A. Fedeli, A. Le Donne or J. Li who give different sufficient condition for inheriting of transitivity from $f_n$ to $f$. In this paper we give a survey of know result relating to this problem and prove new results concerning to transitivity.

On distributional spectrum of piecewise monotonic maps

We study a certain class of piecewise monotonic maps of interval. These maps are strictly monotone on finite interval partition, satisfies Markov condition and have generator property. We show that for a function from this class distributional chaos is always present and we study its basic properties. Main result states that distributional spectrum as well as weak spectrum is always finite. This is a generalization of same result for continuous maps on the interval, circle and tree. Examples showing that conditions on mentions class can not be weakened are presented.

Remarks on definitions of periodic points for nonautonomous dynamical system

Let $(X,f_{1,\infty})$ be a nonautonomous dynamical system. In this paper we summarize known definitions of periodic points for general nonautonomous dynamical systems and propose a new, very natural, definition of asymptotic periodicity. Moreover, this definition is resistant to changes of a beginning of the sequence generating the nonautonomous system. We show the relations among these definitions and discuss their properties. We prove that for pointwise convergent nonautonomous systems topological transitivity together with dense set of asymptotically periodic points imply sensitivity. We also show that event for unoformly convergent systems the nonautonomous analog of Sharkovsky's Theorem is not valid for most definitions of periodic points.
