Spontaneous magnetization of QGP at high temperature

In quark-gluon plasma (QGP), at higher deconfinement temperatures $T \ge T_d$ the spontaneous generation of color magnetic fields, $b^3(T), b^8(T) \not = 0$ (3, 8 are color indexes), and usual magnetic field $b(T) \not = 0$ happens. Simultaneously, the Polyakov loop and/or algebraically related to it $A_0(T)$ condensate, which is solution to Yang-Mills imaginary time equations, are also created. Usually, in analytic quantum field theory these effects are investigated independently of each other within the effective potentials having different mathematical structures. The common generation of these condensates was detected in lattice Monte Carlo simulations. Recently, with the new type two-loop effective potential, which generalizes the known integral representation for the Bernoulli polynomials and takes into consideration the magnetic background, this effect has been derived analytically. The corresponding effective potential W(T, b^3, A_0 ) was investigated either in SU(2) gluodynamics or full QCD. The gauge fixing independence of it was proved within the Nielsen identity approach. The values of magnetic field strengths at different temperatures were calculated and the mechanism of stabilizing fields due to A_0(T) condensate has been discovered. In the present review, we describe this important phenomenon in more details, as well as a number of specific effects - induced color charges, effective photon-photon-gluon vertexes - happening due to vacuum polarization at this background. They could serve as the signals of the QGP creation in the heavy ion collision experiments. Key words: spontaneous magnetization, high temperature, asymptotic freedom, effective potential, A_0 condensate, effective charge, effective vertexes.

One-loop correction contributions in the decoupling limit of generalized Yukawa model

We consider the generalized Yukawa model consisting of two Dirac fermions and two scalar fields. One of the scalars is assumed to be much heavier than the other particles, so it decouples at low energies. Low-energy effective Lagrangian (EL) of the model is derived. It describes the contributions of the heavy scalar into observables in the limit when this particle is decoupled. We consider the cross-sections of $s$- and $t$-channel processes, obtained within the complete model and its low-energy approximation. The contributions of the one-loop corrections in the cross-sections coming from light particles are analyzed. These are corrections to the parameters of the heavy boson and the contributions of the one-loop mixing of light and heavy scalars. We identify the ranges of Yukawa's couplings where the corrections are significant. We find that if the interaction between fermions and either light or heavy scalar is strong enough, the derived EL could not be applied for the description of the analyzed cross-sections even if the heavy scalar decouples. Implications of our results in searching for new particles beyond the Standard model are discussed.

Low-energy effective Lagrangian of the two-Higgs-doublet model

We consider a decoupling scenario within the two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM) with small CP-violation. Mass eigenstates of this model include one neutral scalar field with the mass of the Standard model (SM) Higgs boson and four other scalars, which decouple at low energies. We derive the effective operators of interactions between the SM fermions and the lightest scalar particle of the model. The coefficients at these operators are expressed in terms of the 2HDM parameters. The scattering processes affected by this effective Lagrangian are identified.
