Assessing the Learning Behavioral Intention of Commuters in Mobility Practices

Learning behavior mechanism is widely anticipated in managed settings through the formal syllabus. However, heading for learning stimulus whilst daily mobility practices through urban transit is the novel feature in learning sciences. Theory of planned behavior (TPB), technology acceptance model (TAM), and service quality of transit are conceptualized to assess the learning behavioral intention (LBI) of commuters in Greater Kuala Lumpur. An online survey was conducted to understand the LBI of 117 travelers who use the technology to engage in the informal learning process during daily commuting. The results explored that all the model variables i.e., perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, service quality, and subjective norms are significant predictors of LBI. The perceived usefulness of learning during traveling and transit service quality has a vibrant impact on LBI. The research will support the informal learning mechanism from commuters point of view. The study is a novel contribution to transport and learning literature that will open the new prospect of research in urban mobility and its connotation with personal learning and development.

The Natural Explanation of the Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment via the Electroweak Supersymmetry from the GmSUGRA in the MSSM

The Fermi-Lab Collaboration has announced the results for the measurement of muon anomalous magnetic moment. Combining with the previous results by the BNL experiment, we have $4.2 σ$ deviation from the Standard Model (SM), which strongly implies the new physics around 1 TeV. To explain the muon anomalous magnetic moment naturally, we analyze the corresponding five Feynman diagrams in the Supersymetric SMs (SSMs), and show that the Electroweak Supersymmetry (EWSUSY) is definitely needed. We realize the EWSUSY in the Minimal SSM (MSSM) with Genernalized Mininal Supergravity (GmSUGRA). We find large viable parameter space, which is consistent with all the current experimental constraints. In particular, the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP) neutralino can be at least as heavy as 550 GeV. Most of the viable parameter space can be probed at the future HL-LHC, while we do need the future HE-LHC to probe some viable parameter space. However, it might still be challenge if R-parity is violated.

Social network analytics for supervised fraud detection in insurance

Insurance fraud occurs when policyholders file claims that are exaggerated or based on intentional damages. This contribution develops a fraud detection strategy by extracting insightful information from the social network of a claim. First, we construct a network by linking claims with all their involved parties, including the policyholders, brokers, experts, and garages. Next, we establish fraud as a social phenomenon in the network and use the BiRank algorithm with a fraud specific query vector to compute a fraud score for each claim. From the network, we extract features related to the fraud scores as well as the claims' neighborhood structure. Finally, we combine these network features with the claim-specific features and build a supervised model with fraud in motor insurance as the target variable. Although we build a model for only motor insurance, the network includes claims from all available lines of business. Our results show that models with features derived from the network perform well when detecting fraud and even outperform the models using only the classical claim-specific features. Combining network and claim-specific features further improves the performance of supervised learning models to detect fraud. The resulting model flags highly suspicions claims that need to be further investigated. Our approach provides a guided and intelligent selection of claims and contributes to a more effective fraud investigation process.

Helical phase inflation and its observational constraints

We consider a class of helical phase inflation models from the ${\mathcal N}=1$ supergravity where the phase component of a complex field acts as an inflaton. This class of models avoids the eta problem in supergravity inflation due to the phase monodromy of the superpotential. We study the inflationary predictions of this class of models in the context of both standard and large extra dimensional brane cosmology, and find that they can easily accommodate the Planck 2018 and BICEP2 constraints. We find that the helical phase inflation has $α$-attractors and the attractors depend on one model parameter only.

Sparticle Spectroscopy and Dark Matter in a $U(1)_{B-L}$ extension of MSSM

We consider a class of SUSY models in which the MSSM gauge group is supplemented with a gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry and a global $U(1)_{R}$ symmetry. This extension introduces only electrically neutral states, and the new SUSY partners effectively double the number of states in the neutralino sector that now includes a blino (from $B-L$) and singlino from a gauge singlet superfield. If the DM density is saturated by a LSP neutralino, the model yields quite a rich phenomenology depending on the DM composition. The LSP relic density constraint provides a lower bound on the stop and gluino masses of about 3 TeV and 4 TeV respectively, which is testable in the near future collider experiments such as HL-LHC. The chargino mass lies between 0.24 TeV and about 2.0 TeV, which can be tested based on the allowed decay channels. We also find $m_{\tildeτ_{1}}\gtrsim 500$ GeV, and $m_{\tilde{e}},m_{\tildeμ},m_{\tildeν^{S,P}} \gtrsim 1$ TeV. We identify chargino-neutralino coannihilation processes in the mass region $0.24 \,{\rm TeV} \lesssim m_{\tildeχ_{1}^{0}}\approx m_{\tildeχ_{1}^{\pm}}\lesssim 1.5$ TeV, and also coannihilation processes involving stau, selectron, smuon and sneutrinos for masses around 1 TeV. In addition, $A_{2}$ resonance solutions are found around 1 TeV, and $H_{2}$ and $H_{3}$ resonance solutions are also shown around 0.5 TeV and 1 TeV . Some of the $A_{2}$ resonance solutions with $\tanβ\gtrsim 20$ may be tested by the $A/H\rightarrow τ^{+}τ^{-}$ LHC searches. While the relic density constraint excludes the bino-like DM, it is still possible to realize higgsino, singlino and blino-like DM for various mass scales. We show that all these solutions will be tested in future direct detection experiments such as LUX-Zeplin and Xenon-nT.

Probing the Supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories at the Future Proton-Proton Colliders and Hyper-Kamiokande Experiment

Gauge coupling unification in the Supersymmetric Standard Models strongly implies the Grand Unified Theories (GUTs). With the grand desert hypothesis, we show that the supersymmetric GUTs can be probed at the future proton-proton (pp) colliders and Hyper-Kamiokande experiment. For the GUTs with the GUT scale $M_{GUT} \le 1.0\times 10^{16}$ GeV, we can probe the dimension-six proton decay via heavy gauge boson exchange at the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment. Moreover, for the GUTs with $M_{GUT} \ge 1.0\times 10^{16}$ GeV, we for the first time study the upper bounds on the gaugino and sfermion masses. We show that the GUTs with anomaly and gauge mediated supersymmetry breakings are well within the reaches of the future 100 TeV pp colliders such as the ${\rm FCC}_{\rm hh}$ and SppC, and the supersymmetric GUTs with gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking can be probed at the future 160 TeV pp collider.

Predicting IoT Service Adoption towards Smart Mobility in Malaysia: SEM-Neural Hybrid Pilot Study

Smart city is synchronized with digital environment and its transportation system is vitalized with RFID sensors, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence. However, without user's behavioral assessment of technology, the ultimate usefulness of smart mobility cannot be achieved. This paper aims to formulate the research framework for prediction of antecedents of smart mobility by using SEM-Neural hybrid approach towards preliminary data analysis. This research undertook smart mobility services adoption in Malaysia as study perspective and applied the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as theoretical basis. An extended TAM model was hypothesized with five external factors (digital dexterity, IoT service quality, intrusiveness concerns, social electronic word of mouth and subjective norm). The data was collected through a pilot survey in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Then responses were analyzed for reliability, validity and accuracy of model. Finally, the causal relationship was explained by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Artificial Neural Networking (ANN). The paper will share better understanding of road technology acceptance to all stakeholders to refine, revise and update their policies. The proposed framework will suggest a broader approach to individual level technology acceptance.

$α$-attractor from superconformal E-models in brane inflation

In the large extra dimensional braneworld inflation, Friedmann equation is modified to include a quadratic term in energy density with an additional parameter $λ$ called brane tension in addition to the usual linear term. The high energy brane corrections modify the slow-roll parameters and affect the behaviour of inflation. We analyse the superconformal inflation for E-models and find that there exist $α$-attractors in brane inflation. The predictions for the scalar spectral index $n_s$ and the tensor-to-scalar ratio $r$ are computed numerically, and approximate analytic formulas in the high energy limit have been given for the observable $n_s$ and $r$. The constraints on the model parameters are obtained by using Planck 2018 and BICEP2 observational data.

Towards a secure behavior modeling for IoT networks using Blockchain

Internet of Things (IoT) occupies a vital aspect of our everyday lives. IoT networks composed of smart-devices which communicate and transfer the information without the physical intervention of humans. Due to such proliferation and autonomous nature of IoT systems make these devices threatened and prone to a severe kind of threats. In this paper, we introduces a behavior capturing, and verification procedures in blockchain supported smart-IoT systems that can be able to show the trust-level confidence to outside networks. We defined a custom \emph{Behavior Monitor} and implement on a selected node that can extract the activity of each device and analyzes the behavior using deep machine learning strategy. Besides, we deploy Trusted Execution Technology (TEE) which can be used to provide a secure execution environment (enclave) for sensitive application code and data on the blockchain. Finally, in the evaluation phase we analyze various IoT devices data that is infected by Mirai attack. The evaluation results show the strength of our proposed method in terms of accuracy and time required for detection.

Clustering based Privacy Preserving of Big Data using Fuzzification and Anonymization Operation

Big Data is used by data miner for analysis purpose which may contain sensitive information. During the procedures it raises certain privacy challenges for researchers. The existing privacy preserving methods use different algorithms that results into limitation of data reconstruction while securing the sensitive data. This paper presents a clustering based privacy preservation probabilistic model of big data to secure sensitive information..model to attain minimum perturbation and maximum privacy. In our model, sensitive information is secured after identifying the sensitive data from data clusters to modify or generalize it.The resulting dataset is analysed to calculate the accuracy level of our model in terms of hidden data, lossed data as result of reconstruction. Extensive experiements are carried out in order to demonstrate the results of our proposed model. Clustering based Privacy preservation of individual data in big data with minimum perturbation and successful reconstruction highlights the significance of our model in addition to the use of standard performance evaluation measures.

A Conceptual Paper on SERVQUAL-Framework for Assessing Quality of Internet of Things (IoT) Services

Service quality possesses the vital prominence in usability of innovative products and services. As technological innovation has made the life synchronized and effective, Internet of Things (IoT) is matter of discussion everywhere. From users' perspective, IoT services are always embraced by various system characteristics of security and performance. A service quality model can better present the preference of such technology customers. the study intends to project theoretical model of service quality for internet of things (IoT). Based on the existing models of service quality and the literature in internet of things, a framework is proposed to conceptualize and measure service quality for internet of things. This study established the IoT-Servqual model with four dimensions (i.e., Privacy, Functionality, Efficiency, and Tangibility) of multiple service quality models. These dimensions are essential and inclined towards the users' leaning of IoT Services. This paper contributes to research on internet of things services by development of a comprehensive framework for customers' quality apprehension. This model will previse the expression of information secrecy of users related with internet of things (IoT). This research will advance understanding of service quality in modern day technology and assist firms to devise the fruitful service structure.

The PeV-Scale Split Supersymmetry from Higgs Mass and Electroweak Vacuum Stability

The null results of the LHC searches have put strong bounds on new physics scenario such as supersymmetry (SUSY). With the latest values of top quark mass and strong coupling, we study the upper bounds on the sfermion masses in Split-SUSY from the observed Higgs boson mass and electroweak (EW) vacuum stability. To be consistent with the observed Higgs mass, we find that the largest value of supersymmetry breaking scales $M_{S}$ for $\tanβ=2$ and $\tanβ=4$ are $\mathcal{O} (10^{3}\, {\rm TeV})$ and $\mathcal{O} (10^{1.5}\, {\rm TeV})$ respectively, thus putting an upper bound on the sfermion masses around $10^{3}\, {\rm TeV}$. In addition, the Higgs quartic coupling becomes negative at much lower scale than the Standard Model (SM), and we extract the upper bound of $\mathcal{O}(10^{4}\, {\rm TeV})$ on the sfermion masses from EW vacuum stability. Therefore, we obtain the PeV-Scale Split-SUSY. The key point is the extra contributions to the Renormalization Group Equation (RGE) running from the couplings among Higgs boson, Higgsinos, and gauginos. We briefly comment on the lifetime of gluinos in our study and compare it with current LHC observations. Additionally, we comment on the prospects of discovery of prompt gluinos in a 100 TeV proton-propton collider.

Inflation from a No-scale supersymmetric $SU(4)_{c}\times{SU(2)_{L}\times{SU(2)_{R}}}$ model

We study inflation in a supersymmetric Pati-Salam model driven by a potential generated in the context of no-scale supergravity. The Pati-Salam gauge group $SU(4)_{c}\times{SU(2)_{L}\times{SU(2)_{R}}}$ , is supplemented with a $Z_{2} $ symmetry. Spontaneous breaking via the $SU(4)$ adjoint leads to the left-right symmetric group. Then the $SU(2)_{R}$ breaks at an intermediate scale and the inflaton is a combination of the neutral components of the $SU(2)_{R}$ doublets. We discuss various limits of the parameter space and we show that consistent solutions with the cosmological data for the a spectral index $n_{s}$ and the tensor-to-scalar ratio r are found for a wide range of the parameter space of the model. Regarding the latter, which is a canonical measure of primordial gravity waves, we find that $r\sim{10^{-3}-10^{-2}}$. An alternative possibility where the adjoint scalar field $S$ has the role of the inflaton is also discussed.

Naturalness and Dark Matter in a Realistic Intersecting D6-Brane Model

We revisit a three-family Pati-Salam model with a realistic phenomenology from intersecting D6-branes in Type IIA string theory compactified on a $\mathbf{T}^6/(\mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2)$ orientifold, and study its naturalness in view of the current LHC and dark matter searches. We discuss spectrum and phenomenological features of this scenario demanding fine tuning better than 1\%. This requirement restricts the lightest neutralino to have mass less than about 600 GeV. We observe that the viable parameter space is tightly constrained by the requirements of naturalness and consistency with the observed dark matter relic density, so that it is fully testable at current and future dark matter searches, unless a non-thermal production mechanism of dark matter is at work. We find that $Z$-resonance, $h$-resonance, $A$-funnel and light stau/stop-neutralino coannihilation solutions are consistent with current LHC and dark matter constraints while the "well-tempered" neutralino scenario is ruled out in our model. Moreover, we observe that only Bino, Higgsinos, right-handed staus and stops can have mass below 1 TeV.

Status of Natural Supersymmetry from the GmSUGRA in Light of the current LHC Run-2 and LUX data

We study natural supersymmetry in the Generalized Minimal Supergravity (GmSUGRA). For the parameter space with low energy electroweak fine-tuning measures less than 50, we are left with only the $Z$-pole, Higgs-pole and Higgsino LSP scenarios for dark matter (DM). We perform the focused scans for such parameter space and find that it satisfies various phenomenological constraints and is compatible with the current direct detection bound on neutralino DM reported by the LUX experiment. Such parameter space also has solutions with correct DM relic density besides the solutions with DM relic density smaller or larger than 5$σ$ WMAP9 bounds. We present five benchmark points as examples. In these benchmark points, gluino and the first two generations of squarks are heavier than 2 TeV, stop $\tilde t_{1,2}$ are in the mass range $[1,2]$ TeV, while sleptons are lighter than 1 TeV. Some part of the parameter space can explain the muon anomalous magnetic moment within 3$σ$ as well. We also perform the collider study of such solutions by implementing and comparing with relevant studies done by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations. We find that the points with Higgsino dominant $\tildeχ_2^0/\tilde{χ_1}^\pm$ mass up to $300$ GeV are excluded in $Z$-pole scenario while for Higgs-pole scenario, the points with $\tildeχ_2^0$ mass up to $460$ GeV are excluded. We also notice that the Higgsino LSP points in our present scans are beyond the reach of present LHC searches. Next, we show that for both the $Z$-pole and Higgs-pole scenarios, the points with electroweak fine-tuning measure around 20 do still survive.

Low Fine Tuning in Yukawa-deflected Gauge Mediation

We discuss a class of models with gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking characterized by a non-unified messenger sector inducing non-standard gaugino mass ratios, as well as by additional contributions to the soft mass terms from a matter-messenger coupling. The well-known effect of this coupling is to generate A-terms at one-loop level, hence raising the Higgs mass without relying on super-heavy stops. At the same time, a hierarchy between Wino and gluino masses, as induced by the non-unified messenger fields, can greatly lower the radiative corrections to the Higgs soft mass term driven by the high-energy parameters, thus reducing the fine tuning. We search for models with low fine tuning within this scenario, and we discuss the spectrum, collider phenomenology, constraints, and prospects of the found solutions. We find that some setups are accessible or already excluded by searches at the Large Hadron Collider, and all our scenarios with a tuning better than about 2\% can be tested at the International Linear Collider.

Quantum Smearing in Hybrid Inflation with Chaotic Potentials

We study the impact of one-loop radiative corrections in a non-supersymmetric model of hybrid inflation with chaotic (polynomial-like) potential, $V_0 + λ_p ϕ^p$. These corrections can arise from the possible couplings of inflaton with other fields which may play active role in the reheating process. The tree-level predictions of these models are shown to lie outside of the Planck's latest bounds on the scalar spectral index $n_s$ and the tensor to scalar ratio $r$. However, the radiatively corrected version of these models, $ V_0 + λ_p ϕ^p + A ϕ^4 \ln ϕ$, is fully consistent with the Planck's data. More specifically, fermionic radiative correction ($A<0$) reduces the tensor to scalar ratio significantly and a red-tilted spectral index $n_s<1$, consistent with Planck's data, is obtained even for sub-Planckian field-values.
