FADRA: Frequency-Aware Diffusion with Residual Adaptation for Video Face Restoration

Video face restoration (VFR) aims to recover high-quality and temporally consistent facial details from severely degraded video sequences; however, existing methods still struggle to balance spatial fidelity and temporal coherence under complex degradations. To address this, we propose FADRA, a frequency-aware diffusion framework with iterative residual adaptation specifically tailored for robust VFR. We first leverage the strong temporal consistency of a pre-trained text-to-video diffusion model and introduce lightweight LoRA adapters together with a Low-Quality (LQ) Pixel-Alignment Feature Fusion module to efficiently adapt the frozen generative prior to the VFR task. To further adapt the frozen diffusion backbone to the downstream VFR task beyond LoRA-based adaptation, we introduce a Repeated Residual Adaptation Head (RRAH) for step-wise residual refinement after the diffusion backbone. To make this refinement explicitly guided by the degraded observation, RRAH further takes the LQ latent together with the current velocity prediction as input, allowing the model to repeatedly revisit LQ cues and predict residual updates at each flow-matching step. This LQ-guided repeated residual adaptation helps recover fine facial details while preserving the inherent temporal priors of the pre-trained model. Furthermore, to ensure the structural integrity of perceptually important details, we introduce a Frequency-Aware Loss that provides explicit supervision across multiple spectral bands, emphasizing visually sensitive frequency components that are crucial for perceptual quality and prone to temporal jittering. Extensive experiments demonstrate that FADRA recovers better facial structures and produces more temporally consistent videos than state-of-the-art methods, leading to clear gains in both quantitative metrics and visual perception.

Quantum Otto Heat Engine based on the Dicke-Stark Model under Infinite-Time and Finite-Time Thermodynamic Frameworks

We propose a quantum Otto heat engine that employs a finite-size Dicke-Stark model as the working substance. In the extended coherent state space, the complete energy spectrum and eigenstates of this model are obtained through numerical calculations. Within the infinite-time and finite-time thermodynamics frameworks, we investigate the effects of the Stark field strength, coupling strength, adiabatic stroke time, isochoric stroke time, and number of atoms in the DS model on the heat engine's output work, efficiency, and power. The results show that the maximum values of the output work and efficiency appear near the coupling strength corresponding to the superradiant phase transition point. Regulating the Stark field strength can tune the energy level structure of the system and the superradiant phase transition, effectively reducing entropy generation and quantum friction during nonequilibrium evolution of the system's states and thereby significantly increasing the engine's output work, efficiency, and power. Asymmetric heat engines, where the two isochoric strokes have different Stark field strengths and stroke times, are more conducive to optimizing the heat engine's performance. Additionally, in the DS model, an increase in the number of atoms is also beneficial for increasing the heat engine's output work and efficiency. The results of this paper facilitate the design of high-performance quantum heat engines.

Embodied Cognition Guides Virtual-Real Interaction Design to Help Yicheng Flower Drum Intangible Cultural Heritage Dissemination

In order to make the non-heritage culture of Yicheng Flower Drum more relevant to the trend of the digital era and promote its dissemination and inheritance, the design and application of gesture recognition and virtual reality technologies guided by embodied cognition theory in the process of non-heritage culture dissemination is studied. At the same time, it will enhance the interaction between people and NRM culture, stimulate the audience's interest in understanding NRM and spreading NRM, and create awareness of preserving NRM culture. Using embodied cognition as a theoretical guide, expanding the unidirectional communication mode through human-computer interaction close to natural behavior and cooperating with multisensory information reception channels, so as to construct an embodied and immersive interactive atmosphere for the participants and enable them to naturally form the cognition and understanding of the traditional culture in the process of interaction. The dissemination of the non-heritage culture Yicheng Flower Drum can take the theory of embodied cognition as an entry point, and through the virtual and real scenes of Yicheng Flower Drum and the immersive experience, we can empower the interaction design of non-heritage culture dissemination of the virtual and real, and provide a new method for the research of digital design of non-heritage culture.
