One-dimensional Polar Spinor Droplets

We derive a channel-resolved Lee-Huang-Yang correction and construct an extended GrossPitaevskii model for one-dimensional polar spin-1 quantum droplets. The fluctuation contribution separates into density and spin channels, which supports self-bound droplets even when the spinindependent mean-field interaction is repulsive. Stationary solutions exhibit a continuous crossover from soliton-like to flat-top droplets, accompanied by saturation of the chemical potential and peak density as the particle number increases. Within the parameter range examined here, linear Bogoliubov analysis together with weak-perturbation dynamics supports the stability of both droplet types. A quadratic-Zeeman quench reveals a finite-size crossover in breathing dynamics and distinct nonequilibrium roles of the density and spin fluctuation channels. Representative head-on collisions further show that the finite-size crossover modulates phase-sensitive nonlinear scattering, with in-phase impact producing coalescence-like central retention and out-of-phase impact favoring quasi-elastic separation. The analysis clarifies how density and spin fluctuations shape equilibrium structure and nonequilibrium response in low-dimensional polar spinor droplets.

Synthetic half-integer magnetic monopole and single-vortex dynamics in spherical Bose-Einstein condensates

Magnetic monopoles are crucial in explaining the quantization of electric charges and quantum Hall effects, while artificially creating a minimal magnetic monopole in experiments remains a challenge. Here, we come up with a flexible way to simulate a half-integer-type monopole in Bose gases and investigate the induced vortex dynamics on a sphere. We list the possible experiment parameter settings for different isotopes and discuss their experimental feasibility. With the assumption of a rigid monopole-vortex structure, we analytically predict the vortex trajectory in an external magnetic field. We then confirm the result by numerically solving the Gross-Pitaevskii equation, which employs two gauges simultaneously (the Wu-Yang approach) to prevent singularity in the one-gauge method when a monopole is present. The study offers significant insight into the characteristics of monopoles and vortices, facilitating avenues for experimental validation.

Interference of Two-Dimensional Bose-Einstein Condensates in Micro-Gravity

We investigate the interference of two-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensates in micro-gravity, which influenced by the interaction strength, initial momentum, gravitational potential and phase difference. We demonstrate that the gravitational potential from the Earth can change the density distribution and phase distribution of the condensate's wave function. As time evolves, a portion of the gravitational potential energy of the microscopic particles can be converted into kinetic energy, which changes the motion of the microscopic particles, and leads to the varying of the density and phase distribution of the wave function. Nevertheless, the influences of the Earth's gravity on the wave function can be eliminated by the micro-gravity environment, which confirmed by many micro-gravity cold atom experiments. Our results present the influences of gravity and other parameters on interference of Bose-Einstein condensates, which help us to reveal the intrinsic natures of the related theoretical predictions and experimental phenomena. Furthermore, our work builds a bridge between the related physical phenomena and our physical intuition about the Bose-Einstein condensates in micro-gravity environment.

Three-dimensional Isotropic Droplets in Rydberg-dressed Bose Gases

We predict a scheme for the creation of isotropic three-dimensional droplets in Rydbeg-dressed Bose gases, which contain both repulsive contact interactions and attractive van der Waals interactions causing the quantum fluctuation effect non-negligible. We present detailed beyond mean-field calculations with Lee-Huang-Yang correction and demonstrate the existence of isotropic droplets under realistic experimental conditions. Stable droplets possess flat-top density distribution, and their chemical potentials decrease with the particle number expansion towarding a critical value. We distinguish droplets from bright solitons through peak density, width of condensate and quantum depletion calculations. We summarize a phase diagram of realizing droplets, and subsequently highlight the stability of droplets by real time evolution as well as collisions. Our work provides a novel platform for investigating excitation spectrum and superfluid nature of droplets.

Topological transition from superuid vortex rings to isolated knots and links

Knots and links are fundamental topological objects play a key role in both classical and quantum fluids. In this research, we propose a novel scheme to generate torus vortex knots and links through the reconnections of vortex rings perturbed by Kelvin waves in trapped Bose-Einstein condensates. We observe a new phenomenon in a confined superfluid system in which the transfer of helicity between knots/links and coils can occur in both directions with different pathways. The pathways of topology transition can be controlled through designing specific initial states. The generation of a knot or link can be achieved by setting the parity of the Kelvin wave number. The stability of knots/links can be improved greatly with tunable parameters, including the ideal relative angle and the minimal distance between the initial vortex rings.

Collective oscillations of a Bose-Einstein condensate induced by a vortex ring

We study the collective oscillations of three-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) excited by a vortex ring. We identify independent, integrated, and stationary modes of the center-of-mass oscillation of the condensate with respect to the vortex ring movement. We show that the oscillation amplitude {of the center-of-mass of the condensate} depends strongly on the initial radius of the vortex ring, the inter-atomic interaction, and the aspect ration of the trap, while the oscillation frequency is fixed and equal to the frequency of the harmonic trap in the direction of the ring movement. However, when applying Kelvin wave perturbations on the vortex ring, the center-of-mass oscillation of the BEC is changed nontrivially with respect to the perturbation modes, the long-scale perturbation strength as well as the wave number of the perturbations. The parity of the wave number of the Kelvin perturbations plays important role on the mode of the center-of-mass oscillation of the condensate.

Influence of a dark-soliton on the reflection of a Bose-Einstein condensate by a square barrier

We study the quantum reflection of a two-dimensional disk-shaped Bose-Einstein condensate with a dark-soliton excitation by a square potential barrier. For the giving geometry, the dark-soliton initially located at the centre of the condensate cloud survive long enough for investigating the reflection process. We show the time evolution of the reflection probability with respect to various width of the barrier. The asymptotic value of the reflection probability is decreased by the existence of a dark-soliton, and is highly sensitive to the initial orientation of the dark-soliton which also affects the excitation properties during the process of condensate and barrier interaction.
