Holographic entanglement of purification for thermofield double states and thermal quench

We explore the properties of holographic entanglement of purification (EoP) for two disjoint strips in the Schwarzschild-AdS black brane and the Vaidya-AdS black brane spacetimes. For two given strips on the same boundary of Schwarzschild-AdS spacetime, there is an upper bound of the separation beyond which the holographic EoP will always vanish no matter how wide the strips are. In the case that two strips are in the two boundaries of the spacetime respectively, we find that the holographic EoP exists only when the strips are wide enough. If the width is finite, the EoP can be nonzero in a finite time region. For thermal quench case, we find that the equilibrium time of holographic EoP is only sensitive to the width of strips, while that of the holographic mutual information is sensitive not only to the width of strips but also to their separation.

Holographic subregion complexity under a thermal quench

We study the evolution of holographic subregion complexity under a thermal quench in this paper. From the subregion CV proposal in the AdS/CFT correspondence, the subregion complexity in the CFT is holographically captured by the volume of the codimension-one surface enclosed by the codimension-two extremal entanglement surface and the boundary subregion. Under a thermal quench, the dual gravitational configuration is described by a Vaidya-AdS spacetime. In this case we find that the holographic subregion complexity always increases at early time, and after reaching a maximum it decreases and gets to saturation. Moreover we notice that when the size of the strip is large enough and the quench is fast enough, in $AdS_{d+1}(d\geq3)$ spacetime the evolution of the complexity is discontinuous and there is a sudden drop due to the transition of the extremal entanglement surface. We discuss the effects of the quench speed, the strip size, the black hole mass and the spacetime dimension on the evolution of the subregion complexity in detail numerically.

Holographic Mutual Information of Two Disjoint Spheres

We study quantum corrections to holographic mutual information for two disjoint spheres at a large separation by using the operator product expansion of the twist field. In the large separation limit, the holographic mutual information is vanishing at the semiclassical order, but receive quantum corrections from the fluctuations. We show that the leading contributions from the quantum fluctuations take universal forms as suggested from the boundary CFT. We find the universal behavior for the scalar, the vector, the tensor and the fermionic fields by treating these fields as free fields propagating in the fixed background and by using the 1/n prescription. In particular, for the fields with gauge symmetries, including the massless vector boson and massless graviton, we find that the gauge parts in the propagators play indispensable role in reading the leading order corrections to the bulk mutual information.

A Novel Paradigm for Calculating Ramsey Number via Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm

The Ramsey number is of vital importance in Ramsey's theorem. This paper proposed a novel methodology for constructing Ramsey graphs about R(3,10), which uses Artificial Bee Colony optimization(ABC) to raise the lower bound of Ramsey number R(3,10). The r(3,10)-graph contains two limitations, that is, neither complete graphs of order 3 nor independent sets of order 10. To resolve these limitations, a special mathematical model is put in the paradigm to convert the problems into discrete optimization whose smaller minimizers are correspondent to bigger lower bound as approximation of inf R(3,10). To demonstrate the potential of the proposed method, simulations are done to to minimize the amount of these two types of graphs. For the first time, four r(3,9,39) graphs with best approximation for inf R(3,10) are reported in simulations to support the current lower bound for R(3,10). The experiments' results show that the proposed paradigm for Ramsey number's calculation driven by ABC is a successful method with the advantages of high precision and robustness.
