Implementation of the Spherical Trigonometry Algorithm in a Qibla Direction Application

This research explores the implementation of a spherical trigonometry algorithm in the development of QiblatKita, a mobile-based Qibla direction application designed to address the need for accurate and accessible prayer direction tools for Muslims, especially in the context of global mobility and diverse geographical settings. Built using the Flutter framework to ensure cross-platform compatibility and near-native performance, the application integrates critical device sensors, including GPS, magnetometer, and accelerometer, to collect real-time positional and orientation data. The Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) was adopted to facilitate iterative refinement and responsiveness to user feedback. By applying the Haversine formula and Spherical Law of Cosines, the system calculates the azimuth angle between the user's location and the Kaaba with high precision, achieving an angular deviation of less than one degree in testing. The results confirm that QiblatKita offers a stable, user-friendly, and scientifically grounded solution, effectively merging spherical trigonometry with modern mobile technology to support religious practice in the digital era.

E-commerce Transactions in Islam: Fiqh Muamalah on The Validity of Buying and Selling on Digital Platforms

The development of the digital economy has established e-commerce platforms as the primary space for commercial transactions for the Muslim community. However, innovations in features and business models on these platforms have gave rise to Sharia issues that cannot be fully explained through conventional Fiqh Muamalah contract frameworks. This research aims to examine the compliance of transaction practices in e-commerce with Sharia principles, particularly in the six most frequently used transaction forms, namely information arbitrage-based dropshipping, Buy Now Pay Later financing schemes, digital representations, algorithmic marketing that encourages consumptive behavior, halal verification, and Pre-Order systems. The research method used is a Critical Literature Review with a normative juridical approach, through the study of arguments from the Qur'an, Hadith, DSN-MUI Fatwas, as well as classical and contemporary fiqh literature. The results show that dropshipping and PO practices are considered invalid if conducted with a direct sale contract (bai') due to the nonfulfillment of the element of possession (qabd) and the presence of high uncertainty (gharar). Both practices can be justified through the restructuring of contracts into wakalah bil ujrah, salam, or istishna'. Conventional BNPL is declared non-compliant with Sharia because it contains riba nasiah and riba qardh. Misleading digital representations and halal claims without valid verification fall into the category of tadlis, while dark patterns based algorithmic marketing contradicts maqashid al-syariah, especially the protection of wealth (hifz al-mal) and intellect (hifz al-'aql). This research emphasizes the need for a comprehensive Sharia audit covering contract legality, algorithmic ethics, and interface design to realize a digital economic ecosystem that is fair, transparent, and in accordance with Islamic Sharia.

Preventing AI Deepfake Abuse: An Islamic Ethics Framework

The rapid development of deepfake technology powered by AI has raised global concerns regarding the manipulation of information, the usurpation of digital identities, and the erosion of public trust in the authenticity of online content. These challenges extend beyond technical issues and involve complex moral dimensions, rendering conventional, technologically driven, and reactive management approaches insufficient to address underlying causes such as intent, ethical responsibility, and intangible social harm. In response to these challenges, this study aims to formulate a comprehensive Islamic ethical framework as a preventive approach to mitigate the misuse of deepfake technology. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), selecting ten primary sources published between 2018 and 2025 to identify ethical gaps, regulatory needs, and appropriate normative solutions. The analysis demonstrates that integrating the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah, particularly hifz al-ird and hifz al-nafs, provides a strong normative foundation for governing the responsible use of digital technology. Based on the findings, this study proposes three strategic recommendations: regulatory reforms that recognize the intangible and psychological harms resulting from reputational damage; strengthened technology governance grounded in moral accountability and the values of adl, amanah, and transparency; and enhanced public digital literacy based on the principle of tabayyun. Overall, the findings suggest that the application of Islamic ethical principles shifts governance paradigms from punitive mechanisms toward preventive approaches that emphasize the protection of human dignity, the prevention of harm, and the promotion of the common good in the digital age.

Implementation of Augmented Reality as an Educational Tool for Practice in Early Childhood

Learning Wudhu for young children requires engaging and interactive media to foster a deep understanding of the worship procedures. This study aims to develop a Wudhu learning application based on Augmented Reality (AR) as an interactive and fun educational medium. The development method used includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing using Black Box Testing. The system utilizes marker-based tracking to display 3D animations of Wudhu movements in real-time when the camera detects a marker on the printed media. The test results indicate that all main functions run well, and a limited trial on children aged 5-7 years showed an increase in learning interest and a better understanding of the Wudhu sequence. Thus, the application of AR technology is proven effective in improving the quality of basic worship instruction for young children.

A Comparative Analysis of Instagram and TikTok as Islamic da'wahh Media in the Digital Era

This research aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of Islamic da'wahh on two popular social me dia platforms, namely Instagram and TikTok. The analysis is conducted based on four main aspects: media characteristics, da'wahh communication strategies, audience engagement effec tiveness, and user behavioral responses. The research employs a a mixed-methods approach integrating qualitative content analysis and descriptive quantitative metrics through observations of the popular da'wahh account @hananattakistory during the period of October to November 2025. The findings indicate that TikTok excels in the effectiveness of disseminating da'wahh messages through high interaction rates, achieving an engagement rate of 1.42%. In contrast, Instagram records a higher total interac tion with an engagement rate of 5.47%, reflecting deeper and more reflective audience involvement. Qualitative analysis shows that TikTok is more effective in the initial stage of capturing audience attention (awareness), while Instagram is stronger in building loyalty and fostering a digital da'wahh community. Thus, combining the use of both platforms can serve as a complementary digital da'wahh strategy, expanding reach while deepening the understanding of Islamic values in the era of social media. The main contribution of this study lies in its comparative, empirically grounded approach that integrates both qualitative and quantitative analyses to map the effectiveness of da'wahh across platforms, providing a strategic foundation for developing adaptive and contextual digital da'wahh for young Muslim audiences.

Visualization of The Content of Surah al Fiil using Marker-Based Augmented Reality

This study presents the development of a marker-based augmented reality (AR) application designed to visualize the content of Surah al-Fil as an interactive and context-rich medium for Islamic education. Using a research and development approach, the system was developed through structured stages including data collection, user requirement analysis, interface design, 3D asset creation using Blender, and integration of Unity 3D with the Vuforia SDK. The application features key visual elements such as the elephant army, the Kaaba, and the Ababil birds, which were modeled in detail and linked to high-contrast image markers to ensure accurate and stable AR tracking. Functional testing demonstrated strong technical performance, achieving a 95 percent marker detection accuracy at an optimal distance of 30-40 cm with consistent real-time rendering across multiple Android devices. User evaluations involving students and Islamic education teachers indicated high acceptance, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.7 out of 5 in terms of usability, visual appeal, interactivity, and learning effectiveness. These findings indicate that AR-based learning media can enhance learner engagement, deepen understanding of Quranic narratives, and provide immersive insights into historical and spiritual contexts. Overall, this study demonstrates that marker-based AR technology has significant potential to support innovation in digital Islamic education by enriching traditional learning with interactive and visually intuitive experiences.

Gamification-Based Learning Method for Hijaiyah Letters

The mastery of Hijaiyah letters is a crucial foundation for reading and comprehending the Quran, yet conventional pedagogical approaches based on repetitive memorization frequently struggle to maintain the engagement of young learners in contemporary educational contexts. This research presents the design and implementation of an innovative gamification-based methodology for Hijaiyah literacy acquisition, systematically developed through the ADDIE framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to optimize student motivation, participation, and educational outcomes. The resulting technological solution, engineered using Unity 2D and Firebase, strategically incorporates game design elements such as points, badges, leaderboards, and progressive leveling, while integrating multifaceted learning components including visual animations, authentic tajwid-based audio pronunciation, and interactive letter tracing exercises to simultaneously develop cognitive recognition capabilities and fine motor skills. Empirical evaluation involving 50 elementary school participants revealed substantial quantitative improvements, with mean assessment scores increasing from 42.8 to 88.6 (107% improvement, p < 0.001), demonstrating an exceptionally large effect size (Cohen's d = 4.87), complemented by strong user engagement metrics (4.2 average daily sessions) and high satisfaction ratings (4.82 out of 5 mean motivation score). Beyond cognitive learning outcomes, the gamified approach effectively fostered intrinsic Islamic values such as perseverance, responsibility, and disciplined practice, thereby establishing an innovative educational paradigm that successfully integrates traditional Islamic pedagogical principles with modern digital learning technologies to create a transformative, engaging, and meaningful framework for Hijaiyah literacy development in contemporary Islamic education.

Implementing a Sharia Chatbot as a Consultation Medium for Questions About Islam

This research presents the implementation of a Sharia-compliant chatbot as an interactive medium for consulting Islamic questions, leveraging Reinforcement Learning (Q-Learning) integrated with Sentence-Transformers for semantic embedding to ensure contextual and accurate responses. Utilizing the CRISP-DM methodology, the system processes a curated Islam QA dataset of 25,000 question-answer pairs from authentic sources like the Qur'an, Hadith, and scholarly fatwas, formatted in JSON for flexibility and scalability. The chatbot prototype, developed with a Flask API backend and Flutter-based mobile frontend, achieves 87% semantic accuracy in functional testing across diverse topics including fiqh, aqidah, ibadah, and muamalah, demonstrating its potential to enhance religious literacy, digital da'wah, and access to verified Islamic knowledge in the Industry 4.0 era. While effective for closed-domain queries, limitations such as static learning and dataset dependency highlight opportunities for future enhancements like continuous adaptation and multi-turn conversation support, positioning this innovation as a bridge between traditional Islamic scholarship and modern AI-driven consultation.

Unsupervised Thematic Clustering Of hadith Texts Using The Apriori Algorithm

This research stems from the urgency to automate the thematic grouping of hadith in line with the growing digitalization of Islamic texts. Based on a literature review, the unsupervised learning approach with the Apriori algorithm has proven effective in identifying association patterns and semantic relations in unlabeled text data. The dataset used is the Indonesian Translation of the hadith of Bukhari, which first goes through preprocessing stages including case folding, punctuation cleaning, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming. Next, an association rule mining analysis was conducted using the Apriori algorithm with support, confidence, and lift parameters. The results show the existence of meaningful association patterns such as the relationship between rakaat-prayer, verse-revelation, and hadith-story, which describe the themes of worship, revelation, and hadith narration. These findings demonstrate that the Apriori algorithm has the ability to automatically uncover latent semantic relationships, while contributing to the development of digital Islamic studies and technology-based learning systems.

Machine Learning Algorithms: Detection Official Hajj and Umrah Travel Agency Based on Text and Metadata Analysis

The rapid digitalization of Hajj and Umrah services in Indonesia has significantly facilitated pilgrims but has concurrently opened avenues for digital fraud through counterfeit mobile applications. These fraudulent applications not only inflict financial losses but also pose severe privacy risks by harvesting sensitive personal data. This research aims to address this critical issue by implementing and evaluating machine learning algorithms to verify application authenticity automatically. Using a comprehensive dataset comprising both official applications registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and unofficial applications circulating on app stores, we compare the performance of three robust classifiers: Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), and Na"ive Bayes (NB). The study utilizes a hybrid feature extraction methodology that combines Textual Analysis (TF-IDF) of application descriptions with Metadata Analysis of sensitive access permissions. The experimental results indicate that the SVM algorithm achieves the highest performance with an accuracy of 92.3%, a precision of 91.5%, and an F1-score of 92.0%. Detailed feature analysis reveals that specific keywords related to legality and high-risk permissions (e.g., READ PHONE STATE) are the most significant discriminators. This system is proposed as a proactive, scalable solution to enhance digital trust in the religious tourism sector, potentially serving as a prototype for a national verification system.

Secure Decentralized Online Gaming with Lending Functionalities

We present a decentralized online gaming platform implemented as a Decentralized Application (DApp) on the Ethereum blockchain. The gaming platform enables secure gaming, where the account balances and the stakes of the players are secured by a smart contract. Moreover, the fair enforcement of the game rules and the deposit of the winnings of the players and the gaming platform into their accounts are guaranteed by the smart contract. The gaming platform proposes lending functionalities that allow players to securely borrow tokens from the gaming platform in order to participate in the games.
