InteractBench: Benchmarking LLMs on Competitive Programming under Unrevealed Information

Competitive programming is increasingly being used to evaluate the algorithmic reasoning capabilities of large language models (LLMs). However, existing benchmarks primarily focus on full-information tasks where all problem inputs are provided upfront. This overlooks a critical dimension of algorithmic reasoning: the ability of generated programs to operate when key information is not revealed upfront. Interactive problems, a distinctive component of competitive programming, embody this challenge. These problems require programs to engage in multi-round interaction with an interactor (a judge program) under strict protocol constraints and limited query budgets, with new information revealed only in response to queries. To address this gap, we introduce InteractBench, a benchmark comprising 322 high-quality interactive problems curated from Codeforces, AtCoder, IOI, and ICPC. Each problem is packaged with executable local interactors, enabling fully offline evaluation. Unlike existing benchmarks, InteractBench assesses whether model-generated code can acquire information and track state dynamically. Our evaluation reveals a significant interaction gap: even the most advanced reasoning models achieve limited success on interactive problems. Beyond success rates, we propose a fine-grained failure taxonomy to diagnose the root causes of these deficiencies. Although algorithmic logic errors remain dominant, protocol violations and query-budget overruns are frequent. Code is available at https://github.com/kmsgk0/InteractBench.

SmartRAG: Native Graph-Based RAG for Mobile Device

Deploying large language models (LLMs) as personal assistants on mobile devices demands privacy, low latency, and offline availability, yet the computational cost of giant models clashes with strict edge-hardware budgets. We argue that this tension cannot be resolved by model compression alone; it requires decomposing on-device intelligence into complementary functional roles. We present SmartRAG, a fully on-device framework that organizes an intelligent assistant around four coordinated modules -- Perception, Memory, Focus, and Thinking. At the core of SmartRAG is EvoNER, a continually learnable named-entity recognizer that incrementally expands its label inventory through teacher-distilled updates, enabling the system to absorb previously unseen entity types without retraining the backbone LLM. Extracted knowledge is stored in MRGraph, a three-layer provenance-preserving knowledge graph, and retrieved at query time through a hybrid pipeline combining graph traversal, lexical matching, and dense semantic search. The on-device LLM is invoked only for high-value semantic operations -- labeling, planning, and answer synthesis -- keeping inference costs bounded. Experiments on four QA benchmarks (TriviaQA, Natural Questions, HotpotQA, MultiHopQA) show that SmartRAG with a quantized 1.7B-parameter backbone achieves multi-hop reasoning performance competitive with models up to 18$\times$ larger, while running entirely on commodity smartphones within practical memory and latency envelopes.

SFusion: Energy and Coding Fusion for Ultra-Robust Low-SNR LoRa Networks

LoRa has become a cornerstone for city-wide IoT applications due to its long-range, low-power communication. It achieves extended transmission by spreading symbols over multiple samples, with redundancy controlled by the Spreading Factor (SF), and further error resilience provided by Forward Error Correction (FEC). However, practical limits on SF and the separation between signal-level demodulation and coding-level error correction in conventional LoRa PHY leave it vulnerable under extremely weak signals - common in city-scale deployments. To address this, we present SFusion, a software-based coding framework that jointly leverages signal-level aggregation and coding-level redundancy to enhance LoRa's robustness. When signals fall below the decodable threshold, SFusion encodes a quasi-SF(k +m) symbol using 2^m SFk symbols to boost processing gain through energy accumulation. Once partial decoding becomes feasible with energy aggregation, an opportunistic decoding strategy directly combines IQ signals across symbols to recover errors. Extensive evaluations show that SFusion achieves up to 15dB gain over SF12 and up to 13dB improvement over state-of-the-art solutions.

Blockchain-based Federated Learning for Industrial Metaverses: Incentive Scheme with Optimal AoI

The emerging industrial metaverses realize the mapping and expanding operations of physical industry into virtual space for significantly upgrading intelligent manufacturing. The industrial metaverses obtain data from various production and operation lines by Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and thus conduct effective data analysis and decision-making, thereby enhancing the production efficiency of the physical space, reducing operating costs, and maximizing commercial value. However, there still exist bottlenecks when integrating metaverses into IIoT, such as the privacy leakage of sensitive data with commercial secrets, IIoT sensing data freshness, and incentives for sharing these data. In this paper, we design a user-defined privacy-preserving framework with decentralized federated learning for the industrial metaverses. To further improve privacy protection of industrial metaverse, a cross-chain empowered federated learning framework is further utilized to perform decentralized, secure, and privacy-preserving data training on both physical and virtual spaces through a hierarchical blockchain architecture with a main chain and multiple subchains. Moreover, we introduce the age of information as the data freshness metric and thus design an age-based contract model to motivate data sensing among IIoT nodes. Numerical results indicate the efficiency of the proposed framework and incentive mechanism in the industrial metaverses.
