MMedFD: A Real-world Healthcare Benchmark for Multi-turn Full-Duplex Automatic Speech Recognition

Automatic speech recognition (ASR) in clinical dialogue demands robustness to full-duplex interaction, speaker overlap, and low-latency constraints, yet open benchmarks remain scarce. We present MMedFD, the first real-world Chinese healthcare ASR corpus designed for multi-turn, full-duplex settings. Captured from a deployed AI assistant, the dataset comprises 5,805 annotated sessions with synchronized user and mixed-channel views, RTTM/CTM timing, and role labels. We introduce a model-agnostic pipeline for streaming segmentation, speaker attribution, and dialogue memory, and fine-tune Whisper-small on role-concatenated audio for long-context recognition. ASR evaluation includes WER, CER, and HC-WER, which measures concept-level accuracy across healthcare settings. LLM-generated responses are assessed using rubric-based and pairwise protocols. MMedFD establishes a reproducible framework for benchmarking streaming ASR and end-to-end duplex agents in healthcare deployment. The dataset and related resources are publicly available at https://github.com/Kinetics-JOJO/MMedFD

A Tungsten Deep Neural-Network Potential for Simulating Mechanical Property Degradation Under Fusion Service Environment

Tungsten is a promising candidate material in fusion energy facilities. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations reveal the atomistic scale mechanisms, so they are crucial for the understanding of the macroscopic property deterioration of tungsten under harsh and complex service environments. The interatomic potential used in the MD simulations is required to accurately describe a wide spectrum of relevant defect properties, which is by far challenging to the existing interatomic potentials. In this paper, we propose a new three-body embedding descriptor and hybridize it into the Deep-Potential (DP) framework, an end-to-end deep learning interatomic potential model. Trained with the dataset generated by a concurrent learning method, the potential model for tungsten, named by DP-HYB, is able to accurately predict a wide range of properties including elastic constants, stacking fault energy, the formation energies of free surfaces and point defects, which are included in the training dataset, and formation energies of grain boundaries and prismatic loops, the core structure of screw dislocation, the Peierls barrier and the transition path of the screw dislocation migration, which are not explicitly included in the training dataset. The DP-HYB is a good candidate for the atomistic simulations of tungsten property deterioration, especially those involving the mechanical property degradation under the harsh fusion service environment.

Machine-learning interatomic potential for molecular dynamics simulation of ferroelectric KNbO3 perovskite

Ferroelectric perovskites have been ubiquitously applied in piezoelectric devices for decades, among which, eco-friendly lead-free (K,Na)NbO3-based materials have been recently demonstrated to be an excellent candidate for sustainable development. Molecular dynamics is a versatile theoretical calculation approach for the investigation of the dynamical properties of ferroelectric perovskites. However, molecular dynamics simulation of ferroelectric perovskites has been limited to simple systems, since the conventional construction of interatomic potential is rather difficult and inefficient. In the present study, we construct a machine-learning interatomic potential of KNbO3 (as a representative system of (K,Na)NbO3) by using a deep neural network model. Including first-principles calculation data into the training dataset ensures the quantum-mechanics accuracy of the interatomic potential. The molecular dynamics based on machine-learning interatomic potential shows good agreement with the first-principles calculations, which can accurately predict multiple fundamental properties, e.g., atomic force, energy, elastic properties, and phonon dispersion. In addition, the interatomic potential exhibits satisfactory performance in the simulation of domain wall and temperature-dependent phase transition. The construction of interatomic potential based on machine learning could potentially be transferred to other ferroelectric perovskites and consequently benefits the theoretical study of ferroelectrics.
