Simulation-Aware In-Context Policy Improvement for LLM-Aided Analog Layout Refinement

Analog IC layout design remains a labor-intensive iterative process dominated by simulation-driven refinement. Although end-to-end layout generators accelerate initial placement and routing, they still require experts to manually tune layout optimization parameters with repeated post-layout simulations for stringent design specifications. While Bayesian Optimization (BO) is widely adopted for parameter tuning in analog IC design, at the layout level it typically requires hundreds to thousands of evaluations, each involving costly parasitic extraction and post-layout simulation, which makes it impractical. Recently, Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated potential in improving the sample efficiency of such simulation-driven tuning. However, their restricted access to geometric layout context and design-specific heuristics limits their ability to manipulate the layout optimization process. In this paper, we propose a simulation-aware LLM multi-agent framework that performs in-context policy improvement (ICPI) by iteratively updating layout optimization parameters exposed by an analog layout generator through an act-observe-reflect loop on compact structured layout representations. Experiments on real-world analog circuits show that, with only tens of post-layout simulations, our approach improves post-layout performance over the generator's built-in heuristics and BO-based tuning method.

PANDA: An LLM-Enhanced Performance-Driven Analog Design Framework Bridging Design Intent and Layout Generation

Traditional design of analog circuits heavily relies on manual interventions across topology, sizing, and layout, with prior automation addressing stages in isolation. In this work, we propose PANDA, an LLM-enhanced framework that bridges high-level design intent to final layout by actively managing cross-stage dependencies through guided topology synthesis, substructure-aware sizing, and constraint-driven layout generation. This shifts automation from algorithm-centric execution to intent-centric co-design, reducing turnaround time from days or weeks to hours while improving design performance.

Asymptotics of Jack measures with homogeneous specializations

We consider Jack measures on partitions with homogeneous defining specializations. For each of the six distinct classes of measures obtained this way we prove a global law of large numbers with an explicit limiting particle density. We also demonstrate for one of these classes how to obtain a global central limit theorem, global and edge large deviation principles, and edge universality using the results of the paper. Our argument is based on explicitly evaluating Jack symmetric functions at homogeneous specializations, relating the Jack measures to the discrete $\beta$-ensembles from (Publications math{\' e}matiques de l'IH{\' E}S 125, 1-78, 2017) and using the discrete loop equations to substantially reduce computations.

V2I-Calib: A Novel Calibration Approach for Collaborative Vehicle and Infrastructure LiDAR Systems

Cooperative LiDAR systems integrating vehicles and road infrastructure, termed V2I calibration, exhibit substantial potential, yet their deployment encounters numerous challenges. A pivotal aspect of ensuring data accuracy and consistency across such systems involves the calibration of LiDAR units across heterogeneous vehicular and infrastructural endpoints. This necessitates the development of calibration methods that are both real-time and robust, particularly those that can ensure robust performance in urban canyon scenarios without relying on initial positioning values. Accordingly, this paper introduces a novel approach to V2I calibration, leveraging spatial association information among perceived objects. Central to this method is the innovative Overall Intersection over Union (oIoU) metric, which quantifies the correlation between targets identified by vehicle and infrastructure systems, thereby facilitating the real-time monitoring of calibration results. Our approach involves identifying common targets within the perception results of vehicle and infrastructure LiDAR systems through the construction of an affinity matrix. These common targets then form the basis for the calculation and optimization of extrinsic parameters. Comparative and ablation studies conducted using the DAIR-V2X dataset substantiate the superiority of our approach. LayoutCopilot: An LLM-powered Multi-agent Collaborative Framework for Interactive Analog Layout Design

Analog layout design heavily involves interactive processes between humans and design tools. Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools for this task are usually designed to use scripting commands or visualized buttons for manipulation, especially for interactive automation functionalities, which have a steep learning curve and cumbersome user experience, making a notable barrier to designers' adoption. Aiming to address such a usability issue, this paper introduces LayoutCopilot, a pioneering multi-agent collaborative framework powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) for interactive analog layout design. LayoutCopilot simplifies human-tool interaction by converting natural language instructions into executable script commands, and it interprets high-level design intents into actionable suggestions, significantly streamlining the design process. Experimental results demonstrate the flexibility, efficiency, and accessibility of LayoutCopilot in handling real-world analog designs.

EasyACIM: An End-to-End Automated Analog CIM with Synthesizable Architecture and Agile Design Space Exploration

Analog Computing-in-Memory (ACIM) is an emerging architecture to perform efficient AI edge computing. However, current ACIM designs usually have unscalable topology and still heavily rely on manual efforts. These drawbacks limit the ACIM application scenarios and lead to an undesired time-to-market. This work proposes an end-to-end automated ACIM based on a synthesizable architecture (EasyACIM). With a given array size and customized cell library, EasyACIM can generate layouts for ACIMs with various design specifications end-to-end automatically. Leveraging the multi-objective genetic algorithm (MOGA)-based design space explorer, EasyACIM can obtain high-quality ACIM solutions based on the proposed synthesizable architecture, targeting versatile application scenarios. The ACIM solutions given by EasyACIM have a wide design space and competitive performance compared to the state-of-the-art (SOTA) ACIMs.

Post-Layout Simulation Driven Analog Circuit Sizing

Post-layout simulation provides accurate guidance for analog circuit design, but post-layout performance is hard to be directly optimized at early design stages. Prior work on analog circuit sizing often utilizes pre-layout simulation results as the optimization objective. In this work, we propose a post-layout-simulation-driven (post-simulation-driven for short) analog circuit sizing framework that directly optimizes the post-layout simulation performance. The framework integrates automated layout generation into the optimization loop of transistor sizing and leverages a coupled Bayesian optimization algorithm to search for the best post-simulation performance. Experimental results demonstrate that our framework can achieve over 20% better post-layout performance in competitive time than manual design and the method that only considers pre-layout optimization.
