Diffusion-Based Data-Driven Assortment Optimization

Assortment optimization is a fundamental problem in revenue management, typically addressed using parametric choice models such as the multinomial logit (MNL) and its variants. While these models enable tractable formulations, their performance is sensitive to model misspecification and often struggles to capture complex customer behavior. In this paper, we propose a model-agnostic framework for assortment optimization based on guided discrete diffusion. We represent assortments as binary vectors and perform stochastic search via a learned reverse diffusion process, avoiding explicit combinatorial enumeration. To incorporate decision objectives, we introduce a reward-guided mechanism that biases local transitions using estimates of expected revenue. This allows the method to effectively balance exploration and exploitation during generation. Empirically, we show that the proposed approach consistently identifies high-quality assortments and remains robust under model misspecification, often recovering near-optimal solutions in high-dimensional settings. Moreover, the generative nature of diffusion enables the production of diverse high-performing assortments, offering flexibility beyond a single deterministic solution. These results highlight the potential of generative modeling as a scalable and robust paradigm for combinatorial optimization in data-driven decision-making.

Multi-Representation Geometric Hierarchy Fusion: An Implicit-Submap Driven Framework for Resilient 3D Place Recognition

LiDAR-based place recognition is critical for long-term autonomous driving without GPS. Existing handcrafted feature methods face dual limitations. First, descriptor instability occurs due to inconsistent point cloud density from motion and environmental changes during repeated traversals. Second, representation fragility arises from reliance on single-level geometric abstractions in complex scenes. To overcome these, we propose a novel framework for 3D place recognition. We introduce an implicit 3D representation using elastic neural points. This representation is designed to reduce the influence of input-density variations and to provide more regular geometric evidence for descriptor construction. From this, we derive occupancy grids and normal vectors. These enable the construction of fused descriptors that integrate complementary perspectives: macro-level spatial layouts from a bird's-eye view and micro-scale surface geometries from 3D clusters. Extensive evaluations on diverse datasets, including KITTI, KITTI-360, MulRan, and NCLT, demonstrate that the proposed method achieves competitive and robust performance compared with representative handcrafted and learning-based baselines. The results suggest that the proposed framework provides a favorable trade-off among recognition accuracy, runtime efficiency, and map memory footprint. It also shows improved robustness under density variations and viewpoint changes in the evaluated scenarios. The code will be released soon.

OmniDrive: A Holistic Vision-Language Dataset for Autonomous Driving with Counterfactual Reasoning

The advances in vision-language models (VLMs) have led to a growing interest in autonomous driving to leverage their strong reasoning capabilities. However, extending these capabilities from 2D to full 3D understanding is crucial for real-world applications. To address this challenge, we propose OmniDrive, a holistic vision-language dataset that aligns agent models with 3D driving tasks through counterfactual reasoning. This approach enhances decision-making by evaluating potential scenarios and their outcomes, similar to human drivers considering alternative actions. Our counterfactual-based synthetic data annotation process generates large-scale, high-quality datasets, providing denser supervision signals that bridge planning trajectories and language-based reasoning. Futher, we explore two advanced OmniDrive-Agent frameworks, namely Omni-L and Omni-Q, to assess the importance of vision-language alignment versus 3D perception, revealing critical insights into designing effective LLM-agents. Significant improvements on the DriveLM Q\&A benchmark and nuScenes open-loop planning demonstrate the effectiveness of our dataset and methods.

Far3D: Expanding the Horizon for Surround-view 3D Object Detection

Recently 3D object detection from surround-view images has made notable advancements with its low deployment cost. However, most works have primarily focused on close perception range while leaving long-range detection less explored. Expanding existing methods directly to cover long distances poses challenges such as heavy computation costs and unstable convergence. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a novel sparse query-based framework, dubbed Far3D. By utilizing high-quality 2D object priors, we generate 3D adaptive queries that complement the 3D global queries. To efficiently capture discriminative features across different views and scales for long-range objects, we introduce a perspective-aware aggregation module. Additionally, we propose a range-modulated 3D denoising approach to address query error propagation and mitigate convergence issues in long-range tasks. Significantly, Far3D demonstrates SoTA performance on the challenging Argoverse 2 dataset, covering a wide range of 150 meters, surpassing several LiDAR-based approaches. Meanwhile, Far3D exhibits superior performance compared to previous methods on the nuScenes dataset. The code is available at https://github.com/megvii-research/Far3D.

Focal-PETR: Embracing Foreground for Efficient Multi-Camera 3D Object Detection

The dominant multi-camera 3D detection paradigm is based on explicit 3D feature construction, which requires complicated indexing of local image-view features via 3D-to-2D projection. Other methods implicitly introduce geometric positional encoding and perform global attention (e.g., PETR) to build the relationship between image tokens and 3D objects. The 3D-to-2D perspective inconsistency and global attention lead to a weak correlation between foreground tokens and queries, resulting in slow convergence. We propose Focal-PETR with instance-guided supervision and spatial alignment module to adaptively focus object queries on discriminative foreground regions. Focal-PETR additionally introduces a down-sampling strategy to reduce the consumption of global attention. Due to the highly parallelized implementation and down-sampling strategy, our model, without depth supervision, achieves leading performance on the large-scale nuScenes benchmark and a superior speed of 30 FPS on a single RTX3090 GPU. Extensive experiments show that our method outperforms PETR while consuming 3x fewer training hours. The code will be made publicly available.

A systematic framework to discover pattern for web spam classification

Web spam is a big problem for search engine users in World Wide Web. They use deceptive techniques to achieve high rankings. Although many researchers have presented the different approach for classification and web spam detection still it is an open issue in computer science. Analyzing and evaluating these websites can be an effective step for discovering and categorizing the features of these websites. There are several methods and algorithms for detecting those websites, such as decision tree algorithm. In this paper, we present a systematic framework based on CHAID algorithm and a modified string matching algorithm (KMP) for extract features and analysis of these websites. We evaluated our model and other methods with a dataset of Alexa Top 500 Global Sites and Bing search engine results in 500 queries.

Transport properties of photonic topological insulators based on microring resonator array

An array of ring resonators specifically designed can perform as a topological insulator. We conduct simulations using both Tight-Binding Model (TBM) and Transfer Matrix Method (TMM) to analyze the transport properties of such optical structure, verifying the presence of robust topological edge states which is immune to disorder and defect. We have also made a comparison between these two methods, of which results suggesting that TBM is only applicable under weakly-coupling condition while TMM is more rigorous. Finally we compared the structure with common microring array and coupled resonator optical waveguide (CROW) to demonstrate that it has desired transmission properties with wide and flat spectral response.
