Rollout Efficiency in Reinforcement Learning for Reasoning Large Language Models: A Taxonomy and Future Directions

Reasoning-oriented reinforcement learning enables large language models to solve mathematical, coding, and other multi-step tasks, but shifts a substantial portion of the training cost to rollout, where trajectories are generated for policy updates. Efficient rollout mechanisms are therefore essential to reduce this cost while maintaining the freshness, consistency, and statistical validity of training data. This survey provides a systematic taxonomy of recent research on rollout efficiency for reasoning-oriented reinforcement learning, classifying existing approaches from both mechanism and bottleneck perspectives. Based on this taxonomy, we analyze how different technique families address distinct sources of rollout inefficiency, examine opportunities and potential conflicts for combining them, identify gaps in the evaluation and reporting of efficiency gains, and discuss open challenges and future research directions.

WorldRover: A Scalable Synthetic Video Data Engine for World Exploration with Rich Annotations

Learning to generate or reconstruct explorable worlds requires video paired with more than RGB: camera motion, scene geometry, temporal correspondence and, for interactive models, control signals. Real capture can provide some of these signals, but dense geometry and long-range correspondence usually rely on estimation or specialised instrumentation. Rendering provides these quantities directly, yet existing synthetic resources rarely combine them on the same frames while also supporting controlled changes of viewpoint and appearance. We introduce WorldRover, a data engine for generating richly annotated, long-range explorations of artist-built environments. At its core, WorldRover-Engine is an Unreal Engine pipeline that executes and offline-renders minute-scale routes while preserving their full trajectories and scene geometry. The same exploration can be replayed from first-person, third-person, and 360 panoramic cameras under different environmental states. Using WorldRover-Engine, we construct WorldRover-10M, whose sequences pair RGB with metric depth, camera trajectories, and trajectory-derived action signals throughout each exploration. Third-person subsets additionally provide dense optical flow, long-range 2D/3D point tracks with visibility, and a character trajectory distinct from the camera trajectory. The engine can render a traversal from first-person, third-person and 360 panoramic viewpoints, under different environmental states or with a neutral white material, while preserving the route and scene geometry. WorldRover therefore turns long-horizon world exploration into a scalable data-generation problem, providing supervision for models that must build, maintain, and revisit coherent representations of an explorable world.

AlayaWorld: Interactive Long-Horizon World Modeling - Full Technical Report (v1.1)

This report presents an improved version of AlayaWorld. While the backbone architecture, chunk-wise autoregressive generation scheme, and training data remain unchanged from the previous release, we substantially revise how conditioning signals are represented and integrated into the model. The new design is guided by a simple principle: conditioning signals should match the generated content as closely as possible in both latent representation and temporal structure. To this end, we make two major changes. First, we replace the previous depth-warping-based spatial memory with a streaming 3D point-cache renderer. Second, we redesign the conditioning pipeline so that visual conditions are encoded in the same causal-VAE latent space, with temporal statistics consistent with those of the generated video. Concretely, the new version introduces six modifications: (1) replacing static-frame image conditioning with motion-aware latent conditioning; (2) causally encoding re-rendered spatial memory as a continuous sequence; (3) aligning the temporal-memory window in pixel space; (4) adopting hard memory dropout that removes memory tokens rather than zeroing them; (5) unifying the VAE encoding and decoding protocol across training and inference; and (6) removing the camera AdaLN branch, such that viewpoint control is provided entirely through the re-rendered spatial condition.

WorldMark: A Unified Benchmark Suite for Interactive Video World Models

Unlike text- or image-driven video generation, an interactive world model is driven by actions: the user acts, and the world responds. Two obstacles stand in the way of fair and comprehensive evaluation. First, models take actions in incompatible formats---captions, camera trajectories, action functions---so no shared protocol has been established. Second, while existing benchmarks have advanced world memory and visual quality, action following is reduced to trajectory or direction error, which collapses a whole path into one number: not how quickly the world reacts to a command switch, nor how cleanly it moves along the commanded axis. WorldMark removes both obstacles. Per-model adapters translate a shared WASD-style vocabulary into each model's native control format, so ten heterogeneous models receive semantically identical instructions across 500 standardized cases spanning styles, viewpoints, and difficulty tiers; a new model costs one adapter. On this common ground we characterize action dynamics through a control-systems lens---direction accuracy, direction purity, response latency, and motion stability, each resolved per axis---alongside suites for world memory and visual quality. Together they expose differences existing protocols cannot see: the fastest responders are often the least stable, a trade-off no single action metric captures; per-axis resolution reveals models that follow translation almost perfectly while barely responding to rotation; the model with the best perceptual and aesthetic quality ranks last in translational direction accuracy and latency; and stylized scenes cost every model global consistency while leaving action dynamics largely intact. We will release all data, evaluation code, and model outputs.

AlayaWorld: Interactive Long-Horizon World Modeling -- Full Technical Report

Unlike conventional video game development, which relies on labor-intensive pipelines for asset production, animation, physics, and programming, video world models generate interactive environments from user inputs instantly. It enable us to create customized, explorable, and continuously evolving virtual world from text, an image, or video. Realizing this vision requires four tightly coupled capabilities: interaction, persistent spatiotemporal consistency, stable long-horizon generation, and efficient response. We present AlayaWorld, an interactive long-horizon video world model that generates 24-fps video at 540p and 720p. Built on a 15B video diffusion transformer, AlayaWorld generates short latent chunks autoregressively under camera trajectories and switchable text prompts. Its bounded visual context combines a persistent sink frame, compressed temporal history, geometry-aligned spatial memory, and recent-frame conditioning. To reduce long-term drift, the model is trained with corrupted histories and prediction residuals collected from its own roll-outs. We further introduce a discrete autoregressive distillation formulation that combines distribution-matching distillation, self-forcing++, and consistency distillation, reducing inference from approximately 30 sampling steps to four steps per chunk. On iWorld-Bench, AlayaWorld achieves the best performance over long-horizon generation. Conceived as a full-stack, open-source, and long-term project, AlayaWorld is intended to provide an extensible foundation for future research on interactive video world models.

AlayaWorld: Long-Horizon and Playable Video World Generation

Game worlds have traditionally been built through labor-intensive production pipelines, making them costly to develop, difficult to customization, and expensive to modify after deployment. Recent advances in video world models offer a fundamentally different paradigm. Rather than explicitly authoring every component of a virtual environment, these models autoregressively synthesize future observations conditioned on the current world state and user interactions, enabling playable worlds to be generated online. Trained on both gameplay recordings and real-world videos, they can capture diverse visual appearances and physical dynamics, opening new opportunities for interactive applications beyond gaming, including embodied intelligence. In this paper, we present \textbf{AlayaWorld}, a full-stack open-source framework for building interactive generative worlds. AlayaWorld enables open-ended real-time interaction, allowing users to freely navigate and perform diverse actions such as combat, spell casting, and monster summoning. The framework unifies the complete development-from data preparation model architecture, model training, inference acceleration, and deployment-within a modular and extensible architecture. Alongside the framework, we release reproducible pipelines, reference implementations, evaluation tools, and comprehensive documentation, establishing a practical foundation for future research and real-time applications of generative world models.

Reflection of Episodes: Learning to Play Game from Expert and Self Experiences

StarCraft II is a complex and dynamic real-time strategy (RTS) game environment, which is very suitable for artificial intelligence and reinforcement learning research. To address the problem of Large Language Model(LLM) learning in complex environments through self-reflection, we propose a Reflection of Episodes(ROE) framework based on expert experience and self-experience. This framework first obtains key information in the game through a keyframe selection method, then makes decisions based on expert experience and self-experience. After a game is completed, it reflects on the previous experience to obtain new self-experience. Finally, in the experiment, our method beat the robot under the Very Hard difficulty in TextStarCraft II. We analyze the data of the LLM in the process of the game in detail, verified its effectiveness.

SVBench: Evaluation of Video Generation Models on Social Reasoning

Recent text-to-video generation models have made remarkable progress in visual realism, motion fidelity, and text-video alignment, yet they still struggle to produce socially coherent behavior. Unlike humans, who readily infer intentions, beliefs, emotions, and social norms from brief visual cues, current models often generate literal scenes without capturing the underlying causal and psychological dynamics. To systematically assess this limitation, we introduce the first benchmark for social reasoning in video generation. Grounded in developmental and social psychology, the benchmark covers thirty classic social cognition paradigms spanning seven core dimensions: mental-state inference, goal-directed action, joint attention, social coordination, prosocial behavior, social norms, and multi-agent strategy. To operationalize these paradigms, we build a fully training-free agent-based pipeline that distills the reasoning structure of each paradigm, synthesizes diverse video-ready scenarios, enforces conceptual neutrality and difficulty control through cue-based critique, and evaluates generated videos with a high-capacity VLM judge along five interpretable dimensions of social reasoning. Using this framework, we conduct the first large-scale evaluation of seven state-of-the-art video generation systems. Results show a clear gap between surface-level plausibility and deeper social reasoning, suggesting that current models remain limited in their ability to generate socially grounded behavior. https://github.com/Gloria2tt/SVBench-Evaluation

Yume-1.5: A Text-Controlled Interactive World Generation Model

Recent approaches have demonstrated the promise of using diffusion models to generate interactive and explorable worlds. However, most of these methods face critical challenges such as excessively large parameter sizes, reliance on lengthy inference steps, and rapidly growing historical context, which severely limit real-time performance and lack text-controlled generation capabilities. To address these challenges, we propose \method, a novel framework designed to generate realistic, interactive, and continuous worlds from a single image or text prompt. \method achieves this through a carefully designed framework that supports keyboard-based exploration of the generated worlds. The framework comprises three core components: (1) a long-video generation framework integrating unified context compression with linear attention; (2) a real-time streaming acceleration strategy powered by bidirectional attention distillation and an enhanced text embedding scheme; (3) a text-controlled method for generating world events. We have provided the codebase in the supplementary material.

PreGenie: An Agentic Framework for High-quality Visual Presentation Generation

Visual presentations are vital for effective communication. Early attempts to automate their creation using deep learning often faced issues such as poorly organized layouts, inaccurate text summarization, and a lack of image understanding, leading to mismatched visuals and text. These limitations restrict their application in formal contexts like business and scientific research. To address these challenges, we propose PreGenie, an agentic and modular framework powered by multimodal large language models (MLLMs) for generating high-quality visual presentations. PreGenie is built on the Slidev presentation framework, where slides are rendered from Markdown code. It operates in two stages: (1) Analysis and Initial Generation, which summarizes multimodal input and generates initial code, and (2) Review and Re-generation, which iteratively reviews intermediate code and rendered slides to produce final, high-quality presentations. Each stage leverages multiple MLLMs that collaborate and share information. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that PreGenie excels in multimodal understanding, outperforming existing models in both aesthetics and content consistency, while aligning more closely with human design preferences.

LLM-PySC2: Starcraft II learning environment for Large Language Models

The tremendous potential has been demonstrated by large language models (LLMs) in intelligent decision-making problems, with unprecedented capabilities shown across diverse applications ranging from gaming AI systems to complex strategic planning frameworks. However, the StarCraft II platform, which has been widely adopted for validating decision-making algorithms in the past decade, has not yet provided substantial support for this emerging domain. To address issues that LLMs cannot interface with the hundreds of actions of the pysc2 backend and the lack of native support for multi-agent (MA) collaboration, we propose the LLM-PySC2 environment. This is the first environment that offers LLMs the complete pysc2 action space with sufficient multi-modal information and game Wiki knowledge. With an asynchronous query architecture, the environment efficiently interacts with LLMs that maintain a constant latency regardless of the scale of the agents' population. In the experiments, we evaluated LLMs' decision-making performance in both the macro-decision and micro-operation scenarios, with traditional StarCraft II Multi-Agent Challenge (SMAC) tasks and a series of new proposed. Results indicate that LLMs possess the potential to achieve victories in complex scenarios but cannot constantly generate correct decisions, especially in the recovered pysc2 action space and MA settings. Without task-relevant instructions, the pre-trained models suffer from issues such as hallucinations and inefficient collaboration. Our findings suggest that StarCraft II still challenges in the era of large models, revealing that there is a lot to do to develop an advanced LLM decision-making system, and the proposed LLM-PySC2 environment will support future development of LLM-based decision-making solutions.

POSTA: A Go-to Framework for Customized Artistic Poster Generation

Poster design is a critical medium for visual communication. Prior work has explored automatic poster design using deep learning techniques, but these approaches lack text accuracy, user customization, and aesthetic appeal, limiting their applicability in artistic domains such as movies and exhibitions, where both clear content delivery and visual impact are essential. To address these limitations, we present POSTA: a modular framework powered by diffusion models and multimodal large language models (MLLMs) for customized artistic poster generation. The framework consists of three modules. Background Diffusion creates a themed background based on user input. Design MLLM then generates layout and typography elements that align with and complement the background style. Finally, to enhance the poster's aesthetic appeal, ArtText Diffusion applies additional stylization to key text elements. The final result is a visually cohesive and appealing poster, with a fully modular process that allows for complete customization. To train our models, we develop the PosterArt dataset, comprising high-quality artistic posters annotated with layout, typography, and pixel-level stylized text segmentation. Our comprehensive experimental analysis demonstrates POSTA's exceptional controllability and design diversity, outperforming existing models in both text accuracy and aesthetic quality.

Long-Video Audio Synthesis with Multi-Agent Collaboration

Video-to-audio synthesis, which generates synchronized audio for visual content, critically enhances viewer immersion and narrative coherence in film and interactive media. However, video-to-audio dubbing for long-form content remains an unsolved challenge due to dynamic semantic shifts, temporal misalignment, and the absence of dedicated datasets. While existing methods excel in short videos, they falter in long scenarios (e.g., movies) due to fragmented synthesis and inadequate cross-scene consistency. We propose LVAS-Agent, a novel multi-agent framework that emulates professional dubbing workflows through collaborative role specialization. Our approach decomposes long-video synthesis into four steps including scene segmentation, script generation, sound design and audio synthesis. Central innovations include a discussion-correction mechanism for scene/script refinement and a generation-retrieval loop for temporal-semantic alignment. To enable systematic evaluation, we introduce LVAS-Bench, the first benchmark with 207 professionally curated long videos spanning diverse scenarios. Experiments demonstrate superior audio-visual alignment over baseline methods. Project page: https://lvas-agent.github.io

Hierarchical Expert Prompt for Large-Language-Model: An Approach Defeat Elite AI in TextStarCraft II for the First Time

Since the emergence of the Large Language Model (LLM), LLM has been widely used in fields such as writing, translating, and searching. However, there is still great potential for LLM-based methods in handling complex tasks such as decision-making in the StarCraft II environment. To address problems such as lack of relevant knowledge and poor control over subtasks of varying importance, we propose a Hierarchical Expert Prompt (HEP) for LLM. Our method improves the understanding of game situations through expert-level tactical knowledge, improving the processing quality of tasks of varying importance through a hierarchical framework. Our approach defeated the highest level (Elite) standard built-in agent in TextStarCraft II for the first time and consistently outperformed the baseline method in other difficulties. Our experiments suggest that the proposed method is a practical solution for tackling complex decision-making challenges. VBench++: Comprehensive and Versatile Benchmark Suite for Video Generative Models

Video generation has witnessed significant advancements, yet evaluating these models remains a challenge. A comprehensive evaluation benchmark for video generation is indispensable for two reasons: 1) Existing metrics do not fully align with human perceptions; 2) An ideal evaluation system should provide insights to inform future developments of video generation. To this end, we present VBench, a comprehensive benchmark suite that dissects "video generation quality" into specific, hierarchical, and disentangled dimensions, each with tailored prompts and evaluation methods. VBench has several appealing properties: 1) Comprehensive Dimensions: VBench comprises 16 dimensions in video generation (e.g., subject identity inconsistency, motion smoothness, temporal flickering, and spatial relationship, etc). The evaluation metrics with fine-grained levels reveal individual models' strengths and weaknesses. 2) Human Alignment: We also provide a dataset of human preference annotations to validate our benchmarks' alignment with human perception, for each evaluation dimension respectively. 3) Valuable Insights: We look into current models' ability across various evaluation dimensions, and various content types. We also investigate the gaps between video and image generation models. 4) Versatile Benchmarking: VBench++ supports evaluating text-to-video and image-to-video. We introduce a high-quality Image Suite with an adaptive aspect ratio to enable fair evaluations across different image-to-video generation settings. Beyond assessing technical quality, VBench++ evaluates the trustworthiness of video generative models, providing a more holistic view of model performance. 5) Full Open-Sourcing: We fully open-source VBench++ and continually add new video generation models to our leaderboard to drive forward the field of video generation.

Every Dataset Counts: Scaling up Monocular 3D Object Detection with Joint Datasets Training

Monocular 3D object detection plays a crucial role in autonomous driving. However, existing monocular 3D detection algorithms depend on 3D labels derived from LiDAR measurements, which are costly to acquire for new datasets and challenging to deploy in novel environments. Specifically, this study investigates the pipeline for training a monocular 3D object detection model on a diverse collection of 3D and 2D datasets. The proposed framework comprises three components: (1) a robust monocular 3D model capable of functioning across various camera settings, (2) a selective-training strategy to accommodate datasets with differing class annotations, and (3) a pseudo 3D training approach using 2D labels to enhance detection performance in scenes containing only 2D labels. With this framework, we could train models on a joint set of various open 3D/2D datasets to obtain models with significantly stronger generalization capability and enhanced performance on new dataset with only 2D labels. We conduct extensive experiments on KITTI/nuScenes/ONCE/Cityscapes/BDD100K datasets to demonstrate the scaling ability of the proposed method.

From Bird's-Eye to Street View: Crafting Diverse and Condition-Aligned Images with Latent Diffusion Model

We explore Bird's-Eye View (BEV) generation, converting a BEV map into its corresponding multi-view street images. Valued for its unified spatial representation aiding multi-sensor fusion, BEV is pivotal for various autonomous driving applications. Creating accurate street-view images from BEV maps is essential for portraying complex traffic scenarios and enhancing driving algorithms. Concurrently, diffusion-based conditional image generation models have demonstrated remarkable outcomes, adept at producing diverse, high-quality, and condition-aligned results. Nonetheless, the training of these models demands substantial data and computational resources. Hence, exploring methods to fine-tune these advanced models, like Stable Diffusion, for specific conditional generation tasks emerges as a promising avenue. In this paper, we introduce a practical framework for generating images from a BEV layout. Our approach comprises two main components: the Neural View Transformation and the Street Image Generation. The Neural View Transformation phase converts the BEV map into aligned multi-view semantic segmentation maps by learning the shape correspondence between the BEV and perspective views. Subsequently, the Street Image Generation phase utilizes these segmentations as a condition to guide a fine-tuned latent diffusion model. This finetuning process ensures both view and style consistency. Our model leverages the generative capacity of large pretrained diffusion models within traffic contexts, effectively yielding diverse and condition-coherent street view images.
