Three results for tau-rigid modules

$τ$-rigid modules are essential in the $τ$-tilting theory introduced by Adachi, Iyama and Reiten. In this paper, we give equivalent conditions for Iwanaga-Gorenstein algebras with self-injective dimension at most one in terms of $τ$-rigid modules. We show that every indecomposable module over iterated tilted algebras of Dynkin type is $τ$-rigid. Finally, we give a $τ$-tilting theorem on homological dimension which is an analog to that of classical tilting modules.

τ-rigid modules over Auslander algebras

We give a characterization of $τ$-rigid modules over Auslander algebras in terms of projective dimension of modules. Moreover, we show that for an Auslander algebra $Λ$ admitting finite number of non-isomorphic basic tilting $Λ$-modules and tilting $Λ^{op}$-modules, if all indecomposable $τ$-rigid $Λ$-modules of projective dimension $2$ are of grade $2$, then $Λ$ is $τ$-tilting finite.

τ-rigid modules for algebras with radical square zero

In this paper, we show that for an algebra $Λ$ with radical square zero and an indecomposable $Λ$-module $M$ such that $Λ$ is Gorenstein of finite type or $τM$ is $τ$-rigid, $M$ is $τ$-rigid if and only if the first two projective terms of a minimal projective resolution of $M$ have no on-zero direct summands in common. We also determined all $τ$-tilting modules for Nakayama algebras with radical square zero. Moreover, by giving a construction theorem we show that a basic connected radical square zero algebra admitting a unique $τ$-tilting module is local.

A Note on Gorenstein Projective Conjecture II

In this paper, we prove that Gorenstein projective conjecture is left and right symmetric and the co-homology vanishing condition can not be reduced in general. Moreover, the Gorenstein projective conjecture is proved to be true for CM-finite algebras.

Trivial Maximal 1-Orthogonal Subcategories For Auslander's 1-Gorenstein Algebras

Let $Λ$ be an Auslander's 1-Gorenstein Artinian algebra with global dimension two. If $Λ$ admits a trivial maximal 1-orthogonal subcategory of $\modΛ$, then for any indecomposable module $M \in \mod Λ$, we have that the projective dimension of $M$ is equal to one if and only if so is its injective dimension and that $M$ is injective if the projective dimension of $M$ is equal to two. In this case, we further get that $Λ$ is a tilted algebra.

From Auslander Algebras to Tilted Algebras

This paper has been withdrawn by the authors because it has been combined with "Higher Auslander Algebras Admitting Trivial Maximal Orthogonal Subcategories" (arXiv:0903.0761) together. Please see the new version of the latter paper for the details.

Higher Auslander Algebras Admitting Trivial Maximal Orthogonal Subcategories

For an Artinian $(n-1)$-Auslander algebra $Λ$ with global dimension $n(\geq 2)$, we show that if $Λ$ admits a trivial maximal $(n-1)$-orthogonal subcategory of $\modΛ$, then $Λ$ is a Nakayama algebra and the projective or injective dimension of any indecomposable module in $\modΛ$ is at most $n-1$. As a result, for an Artinian Auslander algebra with global dimension 2, if $Λ$ admits a trivial maximal 1-orthogonal subcategory of $\modΛ$, then $Λ$ is a tilted algebra of finite representation type. Further, for a finite-dimensional algebra $Λ$ over an algebraically closed field $K$, we show that $Λ$ is a basic and connected $(n-1)$-Auslander algebra $Λ$ with global dimension $n(\geq 2)$ admitting a trivial maximal $(n-1)$-orthogonal subcategory of $\modΛ$ if and only if $Λ$ is given by the quiver: $$\xymatrix{1 & \ar[l]_{β_{1}} 2 & \ar[l]_{β_{2}} 3 & \ar[l]_{β_{3}} ... & \ar[l]_{β_{n}} n+1} $$ modulo the ideal generated by $\{β_{i}β_{i+1}| 1\leq i\leq n-1 \}$. As a consequence, we get that a finite-dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field $K$ is an $(n-1)$-Auslander algebra with global dimension $n(\geq 2)$ admitting a trivial maximal $(n-1)$-orthogonal subcategory if and only if it is a finite direct product of $K$ and $Λ$ as above. Moreover, we give some necessary condition for an Artinian Auslander algebra admitting a non-trivial maximal 1-orthogonal subcategory.

The Existence of Maximal $n$-Orthogonal Subcategories

For an $(n-1)$-Auslander algebra $Λ$ with global dimension $n$, we give some necessary conditions for $Λ$ admitting a maximal $(n-1)$-orthogonal subcategory in terms of the properties of simple $Λ$-modules with projective dimension $n-1$ or $n$. For an almost hereditary algebra $Λ$ with global dimension 2, we prove that $Λ$ admits a maximal 1-orthogonal subcategory if and only if for any non-projective indecomposable $Λ$-module $M$, $M$ is injective is equivalent to that the reduced grade of $M$ is equal to 2. We give a connection between the Gorenstein Symmetric Conjecture and the existence of maximal $n$-orthogonal subcategories of $^{\bot}T$ for a cotilting module $T$. For a Gorenstein algebra, we prove that all non-projective direct summands of a maximal $n$-orthogonal module are $Ω^nτ$-periodic. In addition, we study the relation between the complexity of modules and the existence of maximal $n$-orthogonal subcategories for the tensor product of two finite-dimensional algebras.
