SyncPlan: Long-Horizon LLM Coordination with Explicit Synchronization and Adaptive Correction

LLM-based multi-agent coordination faces a fundamental trade-off between efficiency and adaptivity in dynamic environments. Existing approaches typically rely on repeated LLM invocations or multi-round communication to adapt decisions during execution, introducing substantial latency and making coordination vulnerable to asynchronous progress and environmental changes. Conversely, one-shot planning reduces coordination overhead but produces open-loop plans that can quickly become stale or fail when actions depend on other agents and the environment. We introduce SyncPlan, a plan-execute-correct framework for long-horizon coordination through explicit synchronization and adaptive correction. Given the state and team-level task, a centralized LLM coordinator generates per-agent action chains in a single planning call. During execution, explicit wait primitives and deadlock detection enforce inter-agent and agent-environment dependencies, while a lightweight Plan Staleness Detector continuously assesses the remaining plan and triggers replanning when environmental changes invalidate its assumptions. We further optimize the coordinator through SFT and planning-oriented RL with dense task progress and outcome-level execution feedback. Experiments on the public Overcooked benchmark and the complex Honor of Kings environment show that SyncPlan achieves state-of-the-art task success rates while using less than 0.05% of the wall-clock runtime compared with existing LLM-based coordinators. Code and datasets will be made publicly available.

A Compact, Ultra-High Resolution VIPA Spectrograph for Solar Spectroscopic Observations: Astrocomb Characterization and First Light

We present a compact, high spectral resolution prototype spectrograph based on a Virtually Imaged Phased Array (VIPA), which is designed for solar spectral observations. This fiber-fed instrument has a size of only 53 $\times$ 20 $\times$ 18 cm$^3$. Wavelength calibration using an astrocomb ($f_{\text{rep}}=25$ GHz) established an operational bandpass of 592.76--657.07 nm and revealed an asymmetric instrumental profile. A Fano-Lorentz product function provides a significantly better fit to this profile than a Gaussian. The measured spectral resolution ranges between 290,000 and 340,000 across the band. Initial on-sky validation at the New Vacuum Solar Telescope (NVST, Yunnan Observatories) successfully demonstrated the prototype's capabilities: clear detection of solar five-minute oscillations ($\pm 300 \, \text{m s}^{-1}$) in the \ion {Fe}{1} 6280.57 Å~ line, resolution of magnetic broadening in sunspots using the \ion{Fe}{1} 6173.34 Å~ line, and the first ground-based definitive identification of the faint \ion{Si}{1} 6560.57 Å~ line within the H$α$ band. These results validate the VIPA as a promising platform for high spectral resolution solar spectroscopy. Its compact design and performance directly support future applications in multi-object solar studies, high spectral resolution observations for time-domain astronomy, including exoplanet detection, and potential space-borne instrumentation.

Imaginarium: Vision-guided High-Quality 3D Scene Layout Generation

Generating artistic and coherent 3D scene layouts is crucial in digital content creation. Traditional optimization-based methods are often constrained by cumbersome manual rules, while deep generative models face challenges in producing content with richness and diversity. Furthermore, approaches that utilize large language models frequently lack robustness and fail to accurately capture complex spatial relationships. To address these challenges, this paper presents a novel vision-guided 3D layout generation system. We first construct a high-quality asset library containing 2,037 scene assets and 147 3D scene layouts. Subsequently, we employ an image generation model to expand prompt representations into images, fine-tuning it to align with our asset library. We then develop a robust image parsing module to recover the 3D layout of scenes based on visual semantics and geometric information. Finally, we optimize the scene layout using scene graphs and overall visual semantics to ensure logical coherence and alignment with the images. Extensive user testing demonstrates that our algorithm significantly outperforms existing methods in terms of layout richness and quality. The code and dataset will be available at https://github.com/HiHiAllen/Imaginarium.

Optical optimization of a multi-slit extreme ultraviolet spectrograph for global solar corona diagnostics

The spatial-temporal evolution of coronal plasma parameters of the solar outer atmosphere at global scales, derived from solar full-disk imaging spectroscopic observation in the extreme-ultraviolet band, is critical for understanding and forecasting solar eruptions. We propose a multi-slits extreme ultraviolet imaging spectrograph for global coronal diagnostics with high cadence and present the preliminary instrument designs for the wavelength range from 18.3 to 19.8 nm. The instrument takes a comprehensive approach to obtain global coronal spatial and spectral information, improve the detected cadence and avoid overlapping. We first describe the relationship between optical properties and structural parameters, especially the relationship between the overlapping and the number of slits, and give a general multi-slits extreme-ultraviolet imaging spectrograph design process. Themultilayer structure is optimized to enhance the effective areas in the observation band. Five distantly-separated slits are set to divide the entire solar field of view, which increase the cadence for raster scanning the solar disk by 5 times relative to a single slit. The spectral resolving power of the optical system with an aperture diameter of 150 mm are optimized to be greater than 1461. The spatial resolution along the slits direction and the scanning direction are about 4.4''and 6.86'', respectively. The Al/Mo/B4C multilayer structure is optimized and the peak effective area is about 1.60 cm2 at 19.3 nm with a full width at half maximum of about 1.3 nm. The cadence to finish full-disk raster scan is about 5 minutes. Finally, the instrument performance is evaluated by an end-to-end calculation of the system photon budget and a simulation of the observational image and spectra. Our investigation shows that this approach is promising for global coronal plasma diagnostics.
