Analogues of centralizer subalgebras for fiat 2-categories and their 2-representations

The main result of this paper establishes a bijection between the set of equivalence classes of simple transitive $2$-representations with a fixed apex $\mathcal{J}$ of a fiat $2$-category $\cC$ and the set of equivalence classes of faithful simple transitive $2$-representations of the fiat $2$-subquotient of $\cC$ associated with a diagonal $\mathcal{H}$-cell in $\mathcal{J}$. As an application, we classify simple transitive $2$-representations of various categories of Soergel bimodules, in particular, completing the classification in types $B_3$ and $B_4$.

Indecomposable manipulations with simple modules in category O

We study the problem of indecomposability of translations of simple modules in the principal block of BGG category $\mathcal{O}$ for $\mathfrak{sl}_n$, as conjectured in \cite{KiM}. We describe some general techniques and prove a few general results which may be applied to study various special cases of this problem. We apply our results to verify indecomposability for $n\leq 6$. We also study the problem of indecomposability of shufflings and twistings of simple modules and obtain some partial results.

The Convergence of Least-Squares Progressive Iterative Approximation with Singular Iterative Matrix

Developed in [Deng and Lin, 2014], Least-Squares Progressive Iterative Approximation (LSPIA) is an efficient iterative method for solving B-spline curve and surface least-squares fitting systems. In [Deng and Lin 2014], it was shown that LSPIA is convergent when the iterative matrix is nonsingular. In this paper, we will show that LSPIA is still convergent even the iterative matrix is singular.

Pyramids and 2-representations

We describe a diagrammatic procedure which lifts strict monoidal actions from additive categories to categories of complexes avoiding any use of direct sums. As an application, we prove that every simple transitive $2$-representation of the $2$-category of projective bimodules over a finite dimensional algebra is equivalent to a cell $2$-representation.

Bimodules over uniformly oriented A_n quivers with radical square zero

We start with observing that the only connected finite dimensional algebras with finitely many isomorphism classes of indecomposable bimodules are the quotients of the path algebras of uniformly oriented $A_n$-quivers modulo the radical square zero relations. For such algebras we study the (finitary) tensor category of bimodules. We describe the cell structure of this tensor category, determine existing adjunctions between its $1$-morphisms and find a minimal generating set with respect to the tensor structure. We also prove that, for the algebras mentioned above, every simple transitive $2$-representation of the $2$-category of projective bimodules is equivalent to a cell $2$-representation.

Characterisation and applications of $\Bbbk$-split bimodules

We describe the structure of bimodules (over finite dimensional algebras) which have the property that the functor of tensoring with such a bimodule sends any module to a projective module. The main result is that all such bimodules are $\Bbbk$-split in the sense that they factor (inside the tensor category of bimodules) over $\Bbbk$-vector spaces. As one application, we show that any simple $2$-category has a faithful $2$-representation inside the $2$-category of $\Bbbk$-split bimodules. As another application, we classify simple transitive $2$-representations of the $2$-category of projective bimodules over the algebra $\Bbbk[x,y]/(x^2,y^2,xy)$.

Duflo involutions for 2-categories associated to tree quivers

Motivated by the definition of Duflo involution for fiat $2$-categories, we define certain analogues of Duflo involution for arbitrary finitary $2$-categories and show that such Duflo involutions exist for two classes of finitary $2$-categories associated with tree path algebras. Additionally, we describe the quiver for the algebra underlying the principal $2$-representation for these two classes of finitary $2$-categories.
