xDailyBench: Benchmarking LLMs on Professional Consultation for Real-Life Problems

Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly used for everyday assistance, yet existing benchmarks only partially reflect the requests users naturally make in practice. Real-world requests are often open-ended, casually specified, and context-dependent, requiring models not only to follow explicit instructions but also to infer unstated needs from user background and situational context. We introduce xDailyBench, a benchmark of 248 carefully curated tasks spanning 51 scenarios across personal life, white-collar work, learning and research, and cross-domain activities. The tasks are grounded in requests that users have actually completed or genuinely intended to accomplish with AI, and are evaluated with fine-grained binary rubrics covering both explicit and implicit requirements. We evaluate 11 frontier models under standardized agentic settings. The best models achieve a task-level score of 75.6\%, while all models perform substantially worse on implicit than explicit requirements, with gaps no less than 9 percentage points. These results reveal implicit requirement inference as a persistent bottleneck for reliably satisfying real-world everyday user needs.

Topology-Biased Resource Constraints Shape Synchronization Pathways in Hindmarsh-Rose Oscillator Networks

In oscillator networks sustained by finite resources, synchronization can depend on both the total resource and its spatial distribution. We study a duplex system whose activity layer consists of chaotic Hindmarsh--Rose oscillators and whose transport layer redistributes a conserved resource through a degree-biased Markov process. The stationary resource field is characterized analytically, and its existence, uniqueness, and convergence are established. By embedding this field into a local adaptive feedback law, the available resource is converted into node-dependent dissipation, for which Lyapunov analysis guarantees convergence to the synchronization manifold. Numerical results show that topology bias reorganizes the transient route to synchronization. Weak bias produces an almost collective contraction, whereas intermediate bias creates a hub-initiated recruitment hierarchy that extends toward middle-degree and peripheral nodes. Under stronger bias, the degree hierarchy becomes more pronounced while peripheral recruitment slows because adaptive dissipation is concentrated on structurally privileged nodes. Across the explored parameter range, this localization--coverage tradeoff is accompanied by a non-monotonic synchronization response at fixed total resource. The largest Lyapunov exponent remains positive after synchronization and the correlation dimension changes only modestly, consistent with suppression of transverse deviations while chaotic motion is retained on the synchronization manifold.

A Brief Review and Perspective on the Functional Biodegradable Films for Food Packaging

High-performance, environmentally-friendly biodegradable packaging as substitutes for conventional plastics becomes severe demand to nowadays economy and society. As an aliphatic aromatic copolyester PBAT is recognized as the preferred alternative to traditional plastics. However, the relatively high cost and weak properties obstacles the widespread adoption of PBAT. Modification pertaining to improve the properties, lower the cost, and include the functional additives of PBAT is a continuous effort to meet the needs of food accessibility, antibacterial properties, oxygen resistance, high mechanical strength, stable size, low moisture absorption, and various gas permeability for commercial competitiveness.
