Well-posedness and global attractor for wave equation with nonlinear damping and super-cubic nonlinearity

This study investigates a semilinear wave equation characterized by nonlinear damping $g(u_t) $ and nonlinearity $f(u)$. First, the well-posedness of weak solutions across broader exponent ranges for $g$ and $f$ is established, by utilizing a priori space-time estimates. Moreover, the existence of a global attractor in the phase space $H^1_0(\Omega)\times L^2(\Omega)$ is obtained. Furthermore, it is proved that this global attractor is regular, implying that it is a bounded subset of $(H^2(\Omega)\cap H^1_0(\Omega))\times H^1_0(\Omega)$.

Stability of a one-dimensional full viscous quantum hydrodynamic system

A full viscous quantum hydrodynamic system for particle density, current density, energy density and electrostatic potential coupled with a Poisson equation in one dimensional bounded intervals is studied. First, the existence and uniqueness of a steady-state solution to the quantum hydrodynamic system is established. Then, utilizing the fact that the third order perturbation term has an appropriate sign, the local-in-time existence of the solution is investigated by introducing a fourth order viscous regularization and using the entropy dissipation method. In the end, the exponential stability of the steady-state solution is shown by constructing a uniform a-priori estimate.

MAICRM: A general model for rapid simulation of hot dense plasma spectra

This work is to continue the development of the general model, Multi-Average Ion Collisional-Radiative Model (MAICRM), to calculate the plasma spectral properties of hot dense plasmas. In this model, an average ion is used to characterize the average orbital occupations and the total populations of the configurations within a single charge state. The orbital occupations and population of the average ion are obtained by solving two sets of rate equations sequentially and iteratively. The calculated spectra of Xe and Au plasmas under different plasma conditions are in good agreement with the DCA/SCA calculations while the computational cost is much lower.

MAICRM : A general model for rapid simulation of hot dense plasmas

We propose a general model, Multi-Average Ion Collisional-Radiative Model (MAICRM), to rapid simulate the ionization and population distributions of hot dense plasmas. In MAICRM, the orbital occupation numbers of ions at the same charge stage are averaged and determined by the excitation and de-excitation processes; the populations of the average ions are determined by the ionization and recombination processes with the fixed orbital average occupation numbers in each ion. The calculated mean ionizations and charge state distributions of MAICRM are in general agreement with the other theoretical and experimental results especially for the mid- and high-density plasmas. Since MAICRM considers more detailed transitions and ionization balances than the average atom model and is faster than DCA/SCA models, this model has the advantage to be combined into hydrodynamic simulations.

Stochastic lattice dynamical systems with fractional noise

This article is devoted to study stochastic lattice dynamical systems driven by a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter $H\in(1/2,1)$. First of all, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of pathwise mild solutions to such systems by the Young integration setting and prove that the solution generates a random dynamical system. Further, we analyze the exponential stability of the trivial solution.

Synchronization of coupled stochastic systems with multiplicative noise

We consider the synchronization of solutions to coupled systems of the conjugate random ordinary differential equations (RODEs) for the $N$-Stratronovich stochastic ordinary differential equations (SODEs) with linear multiplicative noise ($N\in \mathbb{N}$). We consider the synchronization between two solutions and among different components of solutions under one-sided dissipative Lipschitz conditions. We first show that the random dynamical system generated by the solution of the coupled RODEs has a singleton sets random attractor which implies the synchronization of any two solutions. Moreover, the singleton sets random attractor determines a stationary stochastic solution of the equivalently coupled SODEs. Then we show that any solution of the RODEs converge to a solution of the averaged RODE within any finite time interval as the coupled coefficient tends to infinity. Our results generalize the work of two Stratronovich SODEs in \cite{9}.

Implicit Simulation Methods for Stochastic Chemical Kinetics

In biochemical systems some of the chemical species are present with only small numbers of molecules. In this situation discrete and stochastic simulation approaches are more relevant than continuous and deterministic ones. The fundamental Gillespie's stochastic simulation algorithm (SSA) accounts for every reaction event, which occurs with a probability determined by the configuration of the system. This approach requires a considerable computational effort for models with many reaction channels and chemical species. In order to improve efficiency, tau-leaping methods represent multiple firings of each reaction during a simulation step by Poisson random variables. For stiff systems the mean of this variable is treated implicitly in order to ensure numerical stability. This paper develops fully implicit tau-leaping-like algorithms that treat implicitly both the mean and the variance of the Poisson variables. The construction is based on adapting weakly convergent discretizations of stochastic differential equations to stochastic chemical kinetic systems. Theoretical analyses of accuracy and stability of the new methods are performed on a standard test problem. Numerical results demonstrate the performance of the proposed tau-leaping methods.
