Topological gyrogroups with Frechet-Urysohn property and omega^{omega}-base

The concept of topological gyrogroups is a generalization of a topological group. In this work, ones prove that a topological gyrogroup G is metrizable iff G has an ωω-base and G is Frechet-Urysohn. Moreover, in topological gyrogroups, every (countably, sequentially) compact subset being strictly (strongly) Frechet-Urysohn and having an ωω-base are all weakly three-space properties with H a closed L-subgyrogroup

The strong Pytkeev property and strong countable completeness in (strongly) topological gyrogroups

A topological gyrogroup is a gyrogroup endowed with a topology such that the binary operation is jointly continuous and the inverse mapping is also continuous. In this paper, it is proved that if $G$ is a sequential topological gyrogroup with an $ω^ω$-base, then $G$ has the strong Pytkeev property. Moreover, some equivalent conditions about $ω^ω$-base and strong Pytkeev property are given in Baire topological gyrogroups. Finally, it is shown that if $G$ is a strongly countably complete strongly topological gyrogroup, then $G$ contains a closed, countably compact, admissible subgyrogroup $P$ such that the quotient space $G/P$ is metrizable and the canonical homomorphism $π:G\rightarrow G/P$ is closed.

Three Point Energy Correlators in the Collinear Limit: Symmetries, Dualities and Analytic Results

Energy Correlators measure the energy deposited in multiple detectors as a function of the angles between the detectors. In this paper, we analytically compute the three particle correlator in the collinear limit in QCD for quark and gluon jets, and also in $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang-Mills theory. We find an intriguing duality between the integrals for the energy correlators and infrared finite Feynman parameter integrals, which maps the angles of the correlators to dual momentum variables. In $\mathcal{N}=4$, we use this duality to express our result as a rational sum of simple Feynman integrals (triangles and boxes). In QCD our result is expressed as a sum of the same transcendental functions, but with more complicated rational functions of cross ratio variables as coefficients. Our results represent the first analytic calculation of a three-prong jet substructure observable of phenomenological relevance for the LHC, revealing unexplored simplicity in the energy flow of QCD jets. They also provide valuable data for improving the understanding of the light-ray operator product expansion.

Separability in (strongly) topological gyrogroups

Separability is one of the most basic and important topological properties. In this paper, the separability in (strongly) topological gyrogroups is studied. It is proved that every first-countable left ω-narrow strongly topological gyrogroup is separable. Furthermore, it is shown that if a feathered strongly topological gyrogroup G is isomorphic to a subgyrogroup of a separable strongly topological gyrogroup, then G is separable. Therefore, if a metrizable strongly topological gyrogroup G is isomorphic to a subgyrogroup of a separable strongly topological gyrogroup, then G is separable, and if a locally compact strongly topological gyrogroup G is isomorphic to a subgyrogroup of a separable strongly topological gyrogroup, then G is separable.

Probe Charm Yukawa at the future $e^{-}p$ and $e^{+}e^{-}$ colliders

Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has provided direct evidence of Yukawa couplings between the third generation charged fermions and the 125 GeV Higgs boson. Whether the first two generation charged fermions arise from exactly the same mechanism becomes the next interesting question. Therefore, direct measurements of charm or muon Yukawa couplings will be crucial to answering this puzzle. The charm Yukawa measurement at the LHC suffers from severe QCD background and it is extremely difficult to reach the sensitivity. In this paper, we compare the potential of probing charm Yukawa coupling at the two proposed future "Higgs Factory" experiments, the Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) and Circular electron positron collider (CEPC). At the LHeC, Higgs bosons will be produced via weak boson fusion and the energetic forward jet may suppress the background significantly. However, due to huge $γ-g$ scattering background, the potential of LHeC search is still limited. With $-80\%$ polarized electron beam of 60 GeV, the signal significance can only reach $2σ$ for $ κ_{c}\simeq 1$ with a 3 ab$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity. In comparison, measurement at the CEPC can then reach $8.0σ$ for $κ_{c}\simeq 1$ with a 2 ab$^{-1}$ of data.

Multi-color optical monitoring of ten blazars from 2005 to 2011

We carried out multi-color optical monitoring of a sample of ten blazars from 2005 to 2011. The sample contains 3 LBLs, 2 IBLs, 4 HBLs, and 1 FSRQ. Our monitoring focused on the long-term variability and the sample included nine BL Lac objects and one flat-spectrum radio quasar. A total number of 14799 data points were collected. This is one of the largest optical database for a sample of ten blazars. All objects showed significant variability except OT 546. Because of the low sampling on each single night, only BL Lacertae was observed to have intra-day variability on 2006 November 6. Most BL Lac objects showed a bluer-when-brighter chromatism, while the flat-spectrum radio quasar, 3C 454.3, displayed a redder-when-brighter trend. The BWB color behaviors of most BL Lacs can be at least partly interpreted by the fact of increasing variation amplitude with increasing frequency observed in these objects. The average spectral index of LBLs is around 1.5, as expected from the model dominated by Synchrotron Self-Compton (SSC) loss. The optical emission of HBL is probably contaminated by the thermal emission from the host galaxies. Correlation analysis did not reveal any time delay between variations at different wavelengths.

Intra-day optical multi-band quasi-simultaneous observation of BL Lacertae object S5 0716+714 from 2013 to 2016

We perform quasi-simultaneous optical multi-band monitoring of BL Lac object S5 0716+714 on seven nights from 2013 to 2016. Intra-day variability (IDV) is found on all seven nights. The source was faintest on JD 2456322 with 14.15 mags and brightest on JD 2457437 with 12.51 mags in the $R$ band. The maximum intra-day variation we observed is 0.15 mags in the $B$ band on JD 2456322. Both bluer-when-brighter and achromatic spectral behaviours were observed on the intra-day timescale. On the longer-term scale, the object exhibited a mild bluer-when-brighter behaviour between the $B$ and $R$ bands. We estimate the inter-band lags using two independent methods. The variation in the $B$ band was observed to lag that in the $I$ band by about 15 minutes on JD 2457315. We compare this lag with one reported previously and discussed the origin of these lags.

Intraday Optical Variability of BL Lacertae

We monitored BL Lacertae simultaneously in the optical B, V, R and I bands for 13 nights during the period 2012-2016. The variations were well correlated in all bands and the source showed significant intraday variability (IDV). We also studied its optical flux and colour behaviour, and searched for inter-band time lags. A strong bluer-when-brighter chromatism was found on the intra-night time-scale. The spectral changes are not sensitive to the host galaxy contribution. Cross-correlation analysis revealed possible time delay of about 10 min between variations in the V and R bands. We interpreted the observed flares in terms of the model consisting of individual synchrotron pulses.

Simultaneous optical monitoring of BL Lacertae object S5 0716+714 with high temporal resolution

We have monitored the BL Lacertae object S5 0716+714 simultaneously in the B, R and I bands on three nights in November 2014. The average time resolution is quite high (73s, 34s, 58s for the filters B, R and I), which can help us trace the profile of the variation and search for the short inter-band time delay. Intra-day variability was about 0.1 mag on the first two nights and more than 0.3 mag on the third. A bluer-when-brighter color behavior was found. An clear loop path can be seen on the color-magnitude diagram of the third night, revealing possible time delays between variations at high and low energies. It is the first time that the intra-day spectral hysteresis loop has been found so obviously in the optical band. We used the interpolated cross-correlation function method to further confirm the time delay and calculated the values of lag between light curves at different wavelengths on each night. On the third night, variations in the R and B bands is approximately 1.5 minutes lagging behind the I band. Such optical time delay is probably due to the interplay of different processes of electrons in the jet of the blazar.

Six-year Optical Monitoring of BL Lacertae Object 1ES 0806+52.4

We present the results of the first systematic long-term multi-color optical monitoring of the BL Lacertae object 1ES 0806+52.4. The monitoring was performed in multiple passbands with a 60/90 cm Schmidt telescope from December 2005 to February 2011. The overall brightness of this object decreased from 2005 December to 2008 December, and regained after that. A sharp outburst probably occurred around the end of our monitoring program. Overlapped on the long-term trend are some short-term small-amplitude oscillations. No intra-night variability was found in the object, which is in accord with the historical observations before 2005. By investigating the color behavior, we found strong bluer-when-brighter chromatism for the long-term variability of 1ES 0806+52.4. The total amplitudes at the c, i and o bands are 1.18, 1.12, and 1.02 mags, respectively. The amplitudes tend to increase toward shorter wavelength, which may be the major cause of bluer-when-brighter. Such bluer-when-brighter is also found in other blazars like S5 0716+714, OJ 287, etc. The hard X-ray data collected from the Swift/BAT archive was correlated with our optical data. No positive result was found, the reason of which may be that the hard X-ray flux is a combination of the synchrotron and inverse Compton emission but with different timescales and cadences under the leptonic Synchrotron-Self-Compton (SSC) model.
