Doubly heavy tetraquark states $cc\bar{u}\bar{d}$ and $bb\bar{u}\bar{d}$

Inspired by the recent observation of a very narrow state, called $T_{cc}^+$, by the LHCb collaboration, the possible bound states and low-lying resonance states of the doubly heavy tetraquark states $cc\bar{u}\bar{d}$ ($T_{cc}$) and $bb\bar{u}\bar{d}$ ($T_{bb}$) are searched in the framework of chiral quark model with an accurate few body method, Gaussian expansion method. The real scaling method is also applied to identify the genuine resonance states. In the calculation, the meson-meson structure, diquark-antidiquark structure, as well as their coupling are all considered. The numerical results show that (i) for $T_{cc}$ and $T_{bb}$, only $I(J^P)=0(1^+)$ states are bound in different quark structures. The binding energy varies from a few MeV for meson-meson structure to over 100 MeV for diquark-antidiquark structure. For example for $T_{cc}$, in meson-meson structure, there exists a weakly bound molecule $DD^*$ state around 3841.4 MeV, 1.8 MeV below the $D^0D^{*+}$, which may be a good candidate of the observed state by LHCb; however in diquark-antidiquark structure, a deeper bound sate with mass 3700.9 MeV is obtained; when considering the structure mixing, the energy of system decreases to 3660.7 MeV and the shallow bound state disappears. (ii) Besides bound states, several resonance states for $T_{QQ}(Q=c, b)$ with $I(J^P)=1(0^+), 1(1^+), 1(2^+), 0(1^+)$ are proposed.

Study on $Z_{cs}$ and excited $B_s^0$ states in the chiral quark model

Stimulated by the newly observed charged hidden-charm state $Z_{cs}(3985)^-$ by BESIII Collaboration, $Z_{cs}(4000)^+$, $Z_{cs}(4220)^+$ and the excited $B_s^0$ states by LHCb Collaboration, a full calculation including masses and decay widths is emerged in the chiral quark model. For $Z_{cs}$ states, we assign quantum numbers $I(J^P)=\frac{1}{2}(1^+)$ and quark composition $c\bar{c}s\bar{u}$ according to the experiment. For $B_s^0$ states, systematically investigations are performed with $I(J^P)=0(0^+), 0(1^+), 0(2^+)$ both in 2-body $b\bar{s}$ and 4-body $b\bar{s}q\bar{q}~(q=u~\rm{or}~d)$ systems. Each tetraquark calculation takes all structures including meson-meson, diquark-antidiquark and all possible color configurations into account. Among the numerical techniques to solve the 2-body and 4-body Schr{ö}dinger equation, the spatial wave functions are expanded in series of Gaussian basis functions for high precision, which is the way Gaussian expansion method so called. Our results indicate that the low-lying states of 4-quark system are all higher than the corresponding thresholds either for $c\bar{c}s\bar{u}$ or for $b\bar{s}q\bar{q}$ systems. With the help of the real scaling method, we found two resonance states with masses of 4023 MeV and 4042 MeV for $c\bar{c}s\bar{u}$ system. The state $c\bar{c}s\bar{u}(4042)$ has a consistent mass and decay width with the recent observed state $Z_{cs}(3985)^-$. For $b\bar{s}q\bar{q}$ system with $J=0$, some resonance states are also found. The newly observed excited $B_s^0$ states can be accommodated in the chiral quark model as $2S$ or $1D$ states, and the mixing with four-quark states are also needed to be considered.

Fully-charm tetraquarks: $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$

In this work, we continue to study the mass spectra of fully-heavy tetraquarks $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$ with the quantum numbers of $J^{PC}=0^{++}, 1^{+-}, 2^{++}$ in the nonrelativistic chiral quark model. With the help of the Gaussian Expansion Method, we present dynamical computations for $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$ state with considering two structures, meson-meson [$\bar{c}c$][$\bar{c}c$] and diquark-antidiquark [$cc$][$\bar{c}\bar{c}$] and their mixing. The results manifest that the energies of the low-lying states are all higher than the meson-meson thresholds [$\bar{c}c$][$\bar{c}c$]. However, resonances are possible because of the color structure. Several resonances are proposed and the lowest resonance is predicted to be 6.5 GeV and the stability of the resonance states is checked using the real scaling method.

Fully-heavy tetraquarks: $bb\bar{c}\bar{c}$ and $bc\bar{b}\bar{c}$

In the framework of a nonrelativistic chiral quark model, we continue to study the mass spectra of the fully-heavy $bb\bar{c}\bar{c}$ and $bc\bar{b}\bar{c}$ tetraquarks. In the present calculations, two structures, meson-meson [$\bar{Q}Q$][$\bar{Q}Q$] and diquark-antidiquark [$QQ$][$\bar{Q}\bar{Q}$] ($Q$ = $c$ or $b$), and their mixing, along with all possible color, spin configurations are considered. The calculations suggest that no bound state can be formed for $bb\bar{c}\bar{c}$ and $bc\bar{b}\bar{c}$ systems. However, resonances are possible because of the color structure. Several resonances are predicted and their stabilities are checked using the real scaling method.

Analysis of hidden-bottom bb\bar{b}\bar{b} states

Motivated by the searching for $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ states at LHC recently, we calculate the ground-state energies of $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ states with quantum numbers $IJ^P=00^+,01^+,02^+$ in a nonrelativistic chiral quark model using the Gaussian expansion method. In our calculations, two structures, meson-meson and diquark-antidiquark, and their coupling, along with all possible color configurations are considered. It is expected that the studies shall be helpful for the experimental searching of fully-heavy exotic tetraquark states.

searches for ud\bar{s}\bar{b} in the chiral quark model

Inspired by the report of D0 Collaboration on the state $X(5568)$ with four different flavors, a similar state, $ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$ is investigated in the present work. The advantage of looking for this state over the state $X(5568)$ with quark contents, $bu\bar{d}\bar{s}$ or $bd\bar{u}\bar{s}$, is that the $BK$ threshold is 270 MeV higher than that of $B_s π$, and it allows a large mass region for $ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$ to be stable. The chiral quark model and Gaussian expansion method are employed to do the calculations of four-quark states $ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$ with quantum numbers $IJ^{P}$($I=0,1;~ J=0,1,2;~P=+$). Two structures, diquark-antidiquark and meson-meson, with all possible color configurations are considered. The results indicate that energies of the tetraquark with diquark-antiquark configuration are all higher than the threshold of $BK$, but for the state of $IJ^P=00^+$ in the meson-meson structure, the energies are below the corresponding thresholds, where the color channel coupling plays an important role. The distances between two objects (quark/antiquark) show that the state is a molecular one.

Correlation Analysis of Nodes Identifies Real Communities in Networks

A significant problem in analysis of complex network is to reveal community structure, in which network nodes are tightly connected in the same communities, between which there are sparse connections. Previous algorithms for community detection in real-world networks have the shortcomings of high complexity or requiring for prior information such as the number or sizes of communities or are unable to obtain the same resulting partition in multiple runs. In this paper, we proposed a simple and effective algorithm that uses the correlation of nodes alone, which requires neither optimization of predefined objective function nor information about the number or sizes of communities. We test our algorithm on real-world and synthetic graphs whose community structure is already known and observe that the proposed algorithm detects this known structure with high applicability and reliability. We also apply the algorithm to some networks whose community structure is unknown and find that it detects deterministic and informative community partitions in these cases.

Light-meson masses in an unquenched quark model

We perform a coupled-channels calculation of the masses of light mesons with the quantum numbers $IJ^{P=-}$, $(I,J)=0,1$, by including $q\bar{q}$ and $(q\bar{q})^2$ components in a nonrelativistic chiral quark model. The coupling between two- and four-quark configurations is realized through a $^3P_0$ quark-pair creation model. With the usual form of this operator, the mass shifts are large and negative, an outcome which raises serious issues of validity for the quenched quark model. Herein, therefore, we introduce some improvements of the $^3P_0$ operator in order to reduce the size of the mass shifts. By introducing two simple factors, physically well motivated, the coupling between $q\bar{q}$ and $(q\bar{q})^2$ components is weakened, producing mass shifts that are around 10-20% of hadron bare masses.

Is the exotic $X(5568)$ a bound state?

Stimulated by the recent observation of the exotic $X(5568)$ state by D0 Collaboration, we study the four-quark system $us\bar{b}\bar{d}$ with quantum numbers $J^P=0^+$ in the framework of chiral quark model. Two structures, diquark-antidiquark and meson-meson, with all possible color configurations are investigated by using Gaussian expansion method. The results show that energies of the tetraquark states with diquark-antiquark structure are too high to the candidate of $X(5568)$, and no molecular structure can be formed in our calculations. The calculation is also extended to the four-quark system $us\bar{c}\bar{d}$ and the same results as that of $us\bar{b}\bar{d}$ are obtained.

A divisive spectral method for network community detection

Community detection is a fundamental problem in the domain of complex-network analysis. It has received great attention, and many community detection methods have been proposed in the last decade. In this paper, we propose a divisive spectral method for identifying community structures from networks, which utilizes a sparsification operation to pre-process the networks first, and then uses a repeated bisection spectral algorithm to partition the networks into communities. The sparsification operation makes the community boundaries more clearer and more sharper, so that the repeated spectral bisection algorithm extract high-quality community structures accurately from the sparsified networks. Experiments show that the combination of network sparsification and spectral bisection algorithm is highly successful, the proposed method is more effective in detecting community structures from networks than the others.
