Integrable discretization of recursion operators and unified bilinear forms to soliton hierarchies

In this paper, we give a procedure for discretizing recursion operators by utilizing unified bilinear forms within integrable hierarchies. To illustrate this approach, we present unified bilinear forms for both the AKNS hierarchy and the KdV hierarchy, derived from their respective recursion operators. Leveraging the inherent connection between soliton equations and their auto-Bäcklund transformations, we discretize the bilinear integrable hierarchies and derive discrete recursion operators. These discrete recursion operators exhibit convergence towards the original continuous forms when subjected to a standard limiting process.

Numerical calculation of N-periodic wave solutions to coupled KdV-type equations

In this paper, we study periodic wave solutions of coupled KdV-type equations. We present a numerical process to calculate the $N$-periodic waves based on the direct method of calculating periodic wave solutions proposed by Akira Nakamura. Particularly, in the case of $N=1,2,3$, we give some detailed examples to show the N-periodic wave solutions to a coupled Ramani equation.

Multipeakons of a two-component modified Camassa-Holm equation and the relation with the finite Kac-van Moerbeke lattice

A spectral and the inverse spectral problem are studied for the two-component modified Camassa-Holm type for measures associated to interlacing peaks. It is shown that the spectral problem is equivalent to an inhomogenous string problem with Dirichlet/Neumann boundary conditions. The inverse problem is solved by Stieltjes' continued fraction expansion, leading to an explicit construction of peakon solutions. Sufficient conditions for the global existence in $t$ are given. The large time asymptotics reveals that, asymptotically, peakons pair up to form bound states moving with constant speeds. The peakon flow is shown to project to one of the isospectral flows of the finite Kac--van Moerbeke lattice.

A generalized nonisospectral Camassa-Holm equation and its multipeakon solutions

Motivated by the paper (Beals, Sattinger and Szmigielski, Adv. Math. 154 (2000) 229--257), we propose an extension of the Camassa-Holm equation, which also admits the multipeakon solutions. The novel aspect is that our approach is mainly based on classic determinant technique. Furthermore, the proposed equation is shown to possess a nonisospectral Lax pair.

About several classes of bi-orthogonal polynomials and discrete integrable systems

By introducing some special bi-orthogonal polynomials, we derive the so-called discrete hungry quotient-difference (dhQD) algorithm and a system related to the QD-type discrete hungry Lotka-Volterra (QD-type dhLV) system, together with their Lax pairs. These two known equations can be regarded as extensions of the QD algorithm. When this idea is applied to a higher analogue of the discrete-time Toda (HADT) equation and the quotient-quotient-difference (QQD) scheme proposed by Spicer, Nijhoff and van der Kamp, two extended systems are constructed. We call these systems the hungry forms of the higher analogue discrete-time Toda (hHADT) equation and the quotient-quotient-difference (hQQD) scheme, respectively. In addition, the corresponding Lax pairs are provided.

Integrable Discretization of Soliton Equations via Bilinear Method and Bäcklund Transformation

In this paper, we present a systematic procedure to derive discrete analogues of integrable PDEs via Hirota's bilinear method. This approach is mainly based on the compatibility between an integrable system and its Bäcklund transformation. We apply this procedure to several equations, including the extended Korteweg-de-Vries (KdV) equation, the extended Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) equation, the extended Boussinesq equation, the extended Sawada-Kotera (SK) equation and the extended Ito equation, and obtain their associated semi-discrete analogues. In the continuum limit, these differential-difference systems converge to their corresponding smooth equations. For these new integrable systems, their Bäcklund transformations and Lax pairs are derived
