Unitary vertex operator algebras

Unitary vertex operator algebras are introduced and studied. It is proved that most well-known rational vertex operator algebras are unitary. The classification of unitary vertex operator algebras with central charge c less than or equal to 1 is also discussed.

Rationality of vertex operator algebra V_L^+: higher rank

The lattice vertex operator V_L associated to a positive definite even lattice L has an automorphism of order 2 lifted from -1 isometry of L. It is established that the fixed point vertex operator algebra V_L^+ is rational.
