OpenCodeReview: Determinism over Non-Determinism for Cost-Effective Agent-Based Code Review

LLM-based code review agents promise scalable, always-on review, yet current systems suffer from two intertwined weaknesses: (1) non-determinism--unbounded tool use makes review outcomes unstable, and (2) context locality--the reviewer's access remains bounded to the diff, capping discoverable issue depth. Both give rise to three challenges: misaligned context retrieval, a coherence-efficiency trade-off in multi-file pull requests, and hallucinated comments that erode trust. To address these, we introduce OpenCodeReview, built on deterministic engineering for uncertain agents: rather than granting maximal freedom, we inject determinism at three deliberate pipeline points. Rule-Guided Dispatch uses a multi-layer rule system to deterministically select files and review criteria, eliminating variability of agent-driven triage. Grounded File Review replaces free-form exploration with a curated tool set exposed through a ReAct loop, while file-level parallel SubAgents balance context coherence against efficiency and recover cross-file dependencies on demand. Independent Reflection introduces a falsification-first filter under an asymmetric information boundary--the reflector sees only the diff, not the agent's tool-augmented exploration--removing hallucinated comments without self-reinforcing bias, improving precision while preserving recall. On AACR-Bench (200 real-world PRs, 10 languages, 1,505 expert-verified comments), OpenCodeReview outperforms mainstream coding agents (e.g., Claude Code and Codex) across six LLM backends, achieving up to 2.17x higher SEM-F1 (25.10% vs. 11.57%) while consuming 5-15x fewer tokens. We open-source OpenCodeReview at https://github.com/alibaba/open-code-review.

Diffusion^2: Dual Diffusion Model with Uncertainty-Aware Adaptive Noise for Momentary Trajectory Prediction

Accurate pedestrian trajectory prediction is crucial for ensuring safety and efficiency in autonomous driving and human-robot interaction scenarios. Earlier studies primarily utilized sufficient observational data to predict future trajectories. However, in real-world scenarios, such as pedestrians suddenly emerging from blind spots, sufficient observational data is often unavailable (i.e. momentary trajectory), making accurate prediction challenging and increasing the risk of traffic accidents. Therefore, advancing research on pedestrian trajectory prediction under extreme scenarios is critical for enhancing traffic safety. In this work, we propose a novel framework termed Diffusion^2, tailored for momentary trajectory prediction. Diffusion^2 consists of two sequentially connected diffusion models: one for backward prediction, which generates unobserved historical trajectories, and the other for forward prediction, which forecasts future trajectories. Given that the generated unobserved historical trajectories may introduce additional noise, we propose a dual-head parameterization mechanism to estimate their aleatoric uncertainty and design a temporally adaptive noise module that dynamically modulates the noise scale in the forward diffusion process. Empirically, Diffusion^2 sets a new state-of-the-art in momentary trajectory prediction on ETH/UCY and Stanford Drone datasets.

$NavA^3$: Understanding Any Instruction, Navigating Anywhere, Finding Anything

Embodied navigation is a fundamental capability of embodied intelligence, enabling robots to move and interact within physical environments. However, existing navigation tasks primarily focus on predefined object navigation or instruction following, which significantly differs from human needs in real-world scenarios involving complex, open-ended scenes. To bridge this gap, we introduce a challenging long-horizon navigation task that requires understanding high-level human instructions and performing spatial-aware object navigation in real-world environments. Existing embodied navigation methods struggle with such tasks due to their limitations in comprehending high-level human instructions and localizing objects with an open vocabulary. In this paper, we propose $NavA^3$, a hierarchical framework divided into two stages: global and local policies. In the global policy, we leverage the reasoning capabilities of Reasoning-VLM to parse high-level human instructions and integrate them with global 3D scene views. This allows us to reason and navigate to regions most likely to contain the goal object. In the local policy, we have collected a dataset of 1.0 million samples of spatial-aware object affordances to train the NaviAfford model (PointingVLM), which provides robust open-vocabulary object localization and spatial awareness for precise goal identification and navigation in complex environments. Extensive experiments demonstrate that $NavA^3$ achieves SOTA results in navigation performance and can successfully complete longhorizon navigation tasks across different robot embodiments in real-world settings, paving the way for universal embodied navigation. The dataset and code will be made available. Project website: https://NavigationA3.github.io/.

Design and Performance Analysis of Multi-scale NOMA for 5G Positioning

This paper presents a feasibility study for a novel positioning-communication integrated signal called Multi-Scale Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (MS-NOMA) for 5G positioning. One of the main differences between the MS-NOMA and the traditional positioning signal is MS-NOMA supports configurable powers for different positioning users (P-Users) to obtain better ranging accuracy and signal coverage. Our major contributions are: Firstly, we present the MS-NOMA signal and analyze the Bit Error Rate (BER) and ranging accuracy by deriving their simple expressions. The results show the interaction between the communication and positioning signals is rather limited, and it is feasible to use the MS-NOMA signal to achieve high positioning accuracy. Secondly, for an optimal positioning accuracy and signal coverage, we model the power allocation problem for MS-NOMA signal as a convex optimization problem by satisfying the QoS (Quality of Services) requirement and other constraints. Then, we propose a novel Positioning-Communication Joint Power Allocation (PCJPA) algorithm which allocates the powers of all P-Users iteratively. The theoretical and numerical results show our proposed MS-NOMA signal has great improvements of ranging/positioning accuracy than traditional PRS (Positioning Reference Signal) in 5G, and improves the coverage dramatically which means more P-Users could locate their positions without suffering the near-far effect.
