Hadronic decay of exotic mesons consisting of four charm quarks

In 2020, a di-$J/ψ$ resonance centered at around 6.9 $\mathrm{GeV}$ was discovered by the LHCb Collaboration, and was later confirmed by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations. In addition to the 6.9-$\mathrm{GeV}$ resonance, its low energy counterpart centered at around 6552 $\mathrm{MeV}$ was also observed by the CMS Collaboration. In this paper, we calculate the inclusive decay width of such exotic mesons into light hadrons and into open charms, respectively, assuming them as either genuine tetraquarks or molecules composed of two $J/ψ$'s. Since the spins of these resonances have not yet been experimentally measured, regarding them as S-wave bound states, we consider all possible spin configurations, namely spin-0 and spin-2, that decay exclusively into double $J/ψ$, and find that the ratio ($\mathcal{R}$) of the decay width for the light-hadron final states to that for the charmed final states differs significantly among different spin configurations, which can help to explore the nature of the observed di-$J/ψ$ resonances and fix the mixing angle for the $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ tetraquark.

Kinematic distributions of the $η_c$ leptoproduction in association with light hadrons

The $η_c$ meson leptoproduction is calculated within the nonrelativistic QCD framework for the first time. It is found that the colour-singlet channel, although suppressed by a factor of $α_s$ relative to the colour-octet ones, provides the most important contribution for almost all the experimental conditions, which disagrees with some of the expectations before computation. We present the differential cross sections with respect to $p_t^2$, $p_t^{\star2}$, $Q^2$, $W$, and $z$, for both HERA and EIC experimental conditions as a reference for future studies. The scale dependence and long-distance-matrix-element dependence are also investigated in this paper.

$η_c$ production associated with light hadrons at the B-factories and the future super B-factories

We present a complete study of the associated production of the $η_c$ meson with light hadrons in $e^+e^-$ collisions at the B-factory energy, which is demonstrated to be one of the best laboratories for testing the colour-octet (CO) mechanism. The colour-siglet contributions are evaluated up to $O(α^2α_s^3)$ while the CO ones are evaluated up to $O(α^2α_s^2)$. For the first time, the angular distribution of the $^1S_0^{[8]}$ production is studied at QCD next-to-leading order. We find that the $^1S_0^{[8]}$ channel dominate the total cross section, while the $^1P_1^{[8]}$ one exhibit its importance in the angular distribution, which turns out to be downward going with respect to $\mathrm{cos}θ$. This can be considered as the most distinct signal for the CO mechanism.
