TableVerse: A Large-scale Tabletop Dataset with Real-world Grounded Layouts for Generalizable Manipulation

The development of generalizable robotic manipulation policies is inherently bounded by the availability of large-scale, high-fidelity scene data. While recent automated synthesis methods attempt to bridge this gap via text-to-layout hallucination or simplified procedural generation, they frequently suffer from physical implausibility and fail to capture the complex, dense clutter of actual human environments. In this paper, we introduce TableVerse, a fully automated Real2Sim pipeline that shifts the paradigm from imaginative layout generation to deterministic reconstruction from unstructured, in-the-wild image data. Our framework seamlessly processes unscripted internet media into high-fidelity, simulation-ready tabletop environments with accurate metric scales, authentic topologies, and verified mechanical stability. Furthermore, an automated task-conditioned trajectory generation framework is integrated to synthesize high-quality, collision-free pick-and-place demonstrations. Leveraging this complete pipeline, we construct the TableVerse-100K Dataset, a large-scale corpus comprising 100,000 unique, physically consistent environments paired with interactive manipulation trajectories. By capturing diverse asset compositions, realistic spatial distributions, and high-quality demonstrations, TableVerse-100K establishes a highly scalable and high-fidelity data foundation, providing significant value to facilitate future research in generalizable robotic manipulation tasks.

Super-Arrhenius temperature dependent viscosity due to liquid-liquid phase separation in the super-cooled Kob-Andersen model

In this study, a recently introduced order parameter called the weighted coordination number (WCN) was used to investigate the liquid-liquid (LL) phase separation, indicating temperature-dependent coarsening of the LL interface as a possible mechanism for the glass transition. A well-established glass-forming Kob-Andersen binary Lennard-Jones system was used in this study. The gas-liquid binodal line was reconstructed using WCNs, and the same approach was extended to study the liquid-liquid binodal line. Systems of various densities are instantaneously quenched from high to low temperatures where liquid-liquid separation is observed. The densities and composition of each liquid state were used to verify the level rule, along with the density and pressure profiles, demonstrating the local equilibrium of liquid-liquid phase separation. The transition from the liquid-liquid phase separation in the supercooled region to the glass transition region was modeled by adopting a Markov Network Model to estimate the temperature-dependent viscosity using liquid-liquid interfacial information from the classification.

From Long Videos to Engaging Clips: A Human-Inspired Video Editing Framework with Multimodal Narrative Understanding

The rapid growth of online video content, especially on short video platforms, has created a growing demand for efficient video editing techniques that can condense long-form videos into concise and engaging clips. Existing automatic editing methods predominantly rely on textual cues from ASR transcripts and end-to-end segment selection, often neglecting the rich visual context and leading to incoherent outputs. In this paper, we propose a human-inspired automatic video editing framework (HIVE) that leverages multimodal narrative understanding to address these limitations. Our approach incorporates character extraction, dialogue analysis, and narrative summarization through multimodal large language models, enabling a holistic understanding of the video content. To further enhance coherence, we apply scene-level segmentation and decompose the editing process into three subtasks: highlight detection, opening/ending selection, and pruning of irrelevant content. To facilitate research in this area, we introduce DramaAD, a novel benchmark dataset comprising over 800 short drama episodes and 500 professionally edited advertisement clips. Experimental results demonstrate that our framework consistently outperforms existing baselines across both general and advertisement-oriented editing tasks, significantly narrowing the quality gap between automatic and human-edited videos.

A dual-space classification scheme of spatial heterogeneities in 2D monatomic supercooled liquids

Understanding the physics of supercooled liquids near glassy transition remains one of the major challenges in condensed matter science. There has been long recognized that supercooled liquids have spatially dynamical heterogeneity whose dynamics in some regions of the sample could potentially be orders of magnitude faster than the dynamics in other regions only a few nanometers away. However, to identify such domain structures both structurally and configurationally in a consistent fashion and the connection between structures and dynamics remains elusive. A new approach to classify these spatial heterogeneities of supercooled liquids is developed. Using average weighted coordination numbers (WCNs) of particles as features for the Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and Gaussian Mixture (GM) clustering, a representation of the feature space to perform GM clustering is constructed after applying PCA to WCNs. Nano-domains or aggregated clusters are found in configurational (real) space by direct mapping the identities of clusters in the feature (structural) space with some classification uncertainties. These uncertainties can be improved by a co-learning strategy to transmit information between the structural space and configurational space iteratively until convergence. The domains are indeed found to be remarkably consistent in both spaces over long times as well as measured to have heterogeneous dynamics. Using such a classification scheme the order parameter time correlation function follows the non-conserved order parameter scaling law, which indicates that such domains are the result of liquid-liquid phase separation after quenching.

Automated characterization of spatial and dynamical heterogeneity in supercooled liquids via implementation of Machine Learning

A computational approach by an implementation of the Principle Component Analysis (PCA) with K-means and Gaussian Mixture (GM) clustering methods from Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to identify structural and dynamical heterogeneities of supercooled liquids is developed. In this method, a collection of the average weighted coordination numbers ($\overline{WCNs}$) of particles calculated from particles' positions are used as an order parameter to build a low-dimensional representation of feature (structural) space for K-means clustering to sort the particles in the system into few meso-states using PCA. Nano-domains or aggregated clusters are also formed in configurational (real) space from a direct mapping using associated meso-states' particle identities with some misclassified interfacial particles. These classification uncertainties can be improved by a co-learning strategy which utilizes the probabilistic GM clustering and the information transfer between the structural space and configurational space iteratively until convergence. A final classification of meso-states in structural space and domains in configurational space are stable over long times and measured to have dynamical heterogeneities. Armed with such a classification protocol, various studies over the thermodynamic and dynamical properties of these domains indicate that the observed heterogeneity is the result of liquid-liquid phase separation after quenching to a supercooled state.

A general classification scheme of detecting spatial and dynamical heterogeneities in super-cooled liquids

A computational approach via implementation of the Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and Gaussian Mixture (GM) clustering methods from Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to identify domain structures of supercooled liquids is developed. Raw features data are collected from the coordination numbers of particles smoothed using its radial distribution function and are used as an order-parameter of disordered structures for GM clustering after dimensionality reduction from the PCA. To transfer the knowledge from features(structural) space to configurational space, another GM clustering is performed using the Cartesian coordinates as an order-parameter with the particles' identity from GM in the feature space. Both GM clustering are performed iteratively until convergence. Results show the appearance of aggregated clusters of nano-domains over sufficient long timescale both in structural and configurational spaces with heterogeneous dynamics. More importantly, consistent nano-domains tilling up the whole space regardless of the system size are observed and our approach can be applied to any disordered systems.
