Tension term, interchange symmetry, and the analogy of energy and tension laws of the AdS soliton solution

In this paper, we reconsider the energy and tension laws of the Ricci flat black hole by taking the contribution of the tension term into account. After this considering and inspired by the interchange symmetry between the Ricci flat black hole and the AdS soliton solution which arises from the double analytic continuation of the time and compact spatial direction, we find out the analogy of the energy and tension laws of the AdS soliton solution. Moreover, we also investigate the energy and tension laws of the boosted Ricci flat black hole, and discuss the boosted AdS soliton solution. However, although there is the same interchange symmetry between the boosted Ricci flat black hole and boosted AdS soliton, the analogy of laws of the boosted AdS soliton solution may be of no sense for the existence of the closed timelike curves and conical singularity. In spite of that, the conserved charges such as the energy and momentum of the boosted AdS soliton are well-defined, and an interesting result is that its energy is lower than that of the static AdS soliton. On the other hand, note that although the laws obtained above are the same as those of the asymptotically flat case, the underlying deduced contents are different. Thus, our results could also be considered as a simple generalization to the asymptotically AdS case. Moreover, during the calculation, we find that there may be a new way to define the gravitational tension which can come from the quasi-local stress tensor of the counter-term method.

Generalized Vaidya Spacetime in Lovelock Gravity and Thermodynamics on Apparent Horizon

We present a kind of generalized Vaidya solutions in a generic Lovelock gravity. This solution generalizes the simple case in Gauss-Bonnet gravity reported recently by some authors. We study the thermodynamics of apparent horizon in this generalized Vaidya spacetime. Treating those terms except for the Einstein tensor as an effective energy-momentum tensor in the gravitational field equations, and using the unified first law in Einstein gravity theory, we obtain an entropy expression for the apparent horizon. We also obtain an energy expression of this spacetime, which coincides with the generalized Misner-Sharp energy proposed by Maeda and Nozawa in Lovelock gravity.

Corrected Entropy-Area Relation and Modified Friedmann Equations

Applying Clausius relation, $δQ=TdS$, to apparent horizon of a FRW universe with any spatial curvature, and assuming that the apparent horizon has temperature $T=1/(2π\tilde {r}_A)$, and a quantum corrected entropy-area relation, $S=A/4G +α\ln A/4G$, where $\tilde {r}_A$ and $A$ are the apparent horizon radius and area, respectively, and $α$ is a dimensionless constant, we derive modified Friedmann equations, which does not contain a bounce solution. On the other hand, loop quantum cosmology leads to a modified Friedmann equation $H^2 =\frac{8πG}{3}ρ(1-ρ/ρ_{\rm crit})$. We obtain an entropy expression of apparent horizon of FRW universe described by the modified Friedmann equation. In the limit of large horizon area, resulting entropy expression gives the above corrected entropy-area relation, however, the prefactor $α$ in the logarithmic term is positive, which seems not consistent with most of results in the literature that quantum geometry leads to a negative contribution to the area formula of black hole entropy.
