Bell-Mermin-Klyshko Inequalities and One-way Information Deficit of Dirac Fields in Noninertial Frames

We investigate the Bell-Mermin-Klyshko inequalities and the one-way information deficit of Dirac fields in noninertial frames, where the quantum correlations are shared between inertial and accelerated observers due to the Unruh effect. We derive partial analytical results for specific quantum states using the one-way information deficit. Additionally, we present numerical results for the Bell-Mermin-Klyshko inequalities. The study reveals the presence of Bell nonlocality and the significance of the one-way information deficit in relativistic quantum information.

Dynamics of quantum battery capacity under Markovian channels

We study the dynamics of the quantum battery capacity for the Bell-diagonal states under Markovian channels on the first subsystem. We show that the capacity increases for special Bell-diagonal states under amplitude damping channel. The sudden death of the capacity occurs under depolarizing channel. We also investigate the capacity evolution of Bell-diagonal states under Markovian channels on the first subsystem $n$ times. It is shown that the capacity under depolarizing channel decreases initially, then increases for small $n$ and tend to zero for large $n$. We find that under bit flip channel and amplitude damping channel, the quantum battery capacity of special Bell-diagonal states tends to a constant for large $n$, namely, the frozen capacity occurs. The dynamics of the capacity of the Bell-diagonal states under two independent same type local Markovian channels is also studied.

Steered quantum coherence and quantum Fisher information in spin-chain system

In this paper, we investigate steered quantum coherence, i.e., the $l_1$ norm of steered coherence and the relative entropy of steered coherence, and the quantum Fisher information in the Gibbs state of two-qubit $XXZ$ systems. Their variations with respect to the temperature, external magnetic field, and interaction intensities are analyzed both analytically and numerically in detail. The similar behaviors among these three quantum measures in the $XXZ$ model are presented.

One-Way Deficit and Holevo Quantity of Generalized $n$-qubit Werner State

Originated from the work extraction in quantum systems coupled to a heat bath, quantum deficit is a kind of significant quantum correlations like quantum entanglement. It links quantum thermodynamics with quantum information. We analytically calculate the one-way deficit of the generalized $n$-qubit Werner state. We find that the one-way deficit increases as the mixing probability $p$ increases for any $n$. For fixed $p$, we observe that the one-way deficit increases as $n$ increases. For any $n$, the maximum of one-way deficit is attained at $p=1$. Furthermore, for large $n$ ($2^n \rightarrow \infty$), we prove that the curve of one-way deficit versus $p$ approaches to a straight line with slope $1$. We also calculate the Holevo quantity for the generalized $n$-qubit Werner state, and show that it is zero.

A Note on Holevo quantity of $SU(2)$-invariant states

The Holevo quantity and the $SU(2)$-invariant states have particular importance in quantum information processing. We calculate analytically the Holevo quantity for bipartite systems composed of spin-$j$ and spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ subsystems with $SU(2)$ symmetry, when the projective measurements are performed on the spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ subsystem. The relations among the Holevo quantity, the maximal values of the Holevo quantity and the states are analyzed in detail. In particular, we show that the Holevo quantity increases in the parameter region $F F_d$ when $j$ increases, where $F$ is function of temperature in thermal equilibrium and $F_d=j/(2j+1)$, and the maximum value of the Holevo quantity is attained at $F=1$ for all $j$. Moreover, when the dimension of system increases, the maximal value of the Holevo quantity decreases.

Dynamics of quantum coherence in Bell-diagonal states under Markovian channels

We study the curves of coherence for the Bell-diagonal states including $l_{1}$-norm of coherence and relative entropy of coherence under the Markovian channels in the first subsystem once. For a special Bell-diagonal state under bit-phase flip channel, we find frozen coherence under $l_{1}$ norm occurs, but relative entropy of coherence decrease. It illustrates that the occurrence of frozen coherence depends on the type of the measure of coherence. We study the coherence evolution of Bell-diagonal states under Markovian channels in the first subsystem $n$ times and find coherence under depolarizing channel decreases initially then increases for small $n$ and tend to zero for large $n$. We discuss the dynamics of coherence of the Bell-diagonal state under two independent same type local Markovian channels. We depict the dynamic behaviors of relative entropy of coherence for Bell-diagonal state under the bi-side different Markovian channel. We depict the dynamic behaviors of relative entropy of coherence for Bell-diagonal state under the bi-side different Markovian channel.

Quantum coherence in mutually unbiased bases

We investigate the $l_{1}$ norm of coherence of quantum states in mutually unbiased bases. We find that the sum of squared $l_{1}$ norm of coherence of the mixed state single qubit is less than two. We derive the $l_{1}$ norm of coherence of three classes of $X$ states in nontrivial mutually unbiased bases for $4$-dimensional Hilbert space is equal. We proposed "autotensor of mutually unbiased basis(AMUB)" by the tensor of mutually unbiased bases, and depict the level surface of constant the sum of the $l_{1}$ norm of coherence of Bell-diagonal states in AMUB. We find the $l_{1}$ norm of coherence of Werner states and isotropic states in AMUB is equal respectively.

One-way deficit and quantum phase transitions in $XY$ model and extended Ising model

Originating in questions regarding work extraction from quantum systems coupled to a heat bath, quantum deficit, a kind of quantum correlations besides entanglement and quantum discord, links quantum thermodynamics with quantum correlations. In this paper, we evaluate the one-way deficit of two adjacent spins in the bulk for the $XY$ model and its extend model: the extended Ising model. We find that the one-way deficit susceptibility is able to characterize the quantum phase transitions in the $XY$ model and even the topological phase transitions in the extend Ising model. This study may enlighten extensive studies of quantum phase transitions from the perspective of quantum information processing and quantum computation, including finite-temperature phase transitions, topological phase transitions and dynamical phase transitions of a variety of quantum many-body systems.

The Geometry of Quantum Coherence for Two Qubit $X$ States

We plot the geometry of several distance-based quantifiers of coherence for Bell-diagonal states. We find that along with both $l_{1}$ norm and relative entropy of coherence changes continuously from zero to one, their surfaces move from the separable regions to the entangled regions. Based on this fact, it is more illuminating to use an intuitive geometry to explain quantum states with nonzero coherence can be used for entanglement creation, rather than the other way around. We find the necessary and sufficient conditions that quantum discord of Bell-diagonal states equal to its relative entropy of coherence and depict the surfaces of the equality. We give surfaces of relative entropy of coherence for $X$ states. We show the surfaces of dynamics of relative entropy of coherence for Bell-diagonal states under local nondissipative channels and find that all coherence under local nondissipative channels decrease.

One-way Quantum Deficit and Decoherence for Two-qubit $X$ States

We study one-way quantum deficit of two-qubit $X$ states systematically from analytical derivations. An effective approach to compute one-way quantum deficit of two-qubit $X$ states has been provided. Analytical results are presented as for detailed examples. Moreover, we demonstrate the decoherence of one-way quantum deficit under phase damping channel.

One-way deficit and quantum phase transitions in $XX$ Model

Quantum correlations including entanglement and quantum discord has drawn much attention in characterizing quantum phase transitions. Quantum deficit originates in questions regarding work extraction from quantum systems coupled to a heat bath [Phys. Rev. Lett. 89, 180402 (2002)]. It links quantum thermodynamics with quantum correlations and provides a new standpoint for understanding quantum non-locality. In this paper, we evaluate the one-way deficit of two adjacent spins in the bulk for the XX model. In the thermodynamic limit, the XX model undergoes a first order transition from fully polarized to a critical phase with quasi-long-range order with decrease of quantum parameter. We find that the one-way deficit becomes nonzero after the critical point. Therefore, the one-way deficit characterizes the quantum phase transition in the XX model.

One-Way Deficit of Two Qubit X States

Quantum deficit originates in questions regarding work extraction from quantum systems coupled to a heat bath [Phys. Rev. Lett. 89, 180402 (2002)]. It links quantum correlations with quantum thermodynamics and provides a new standpoint for understanding quantum non-locality. In this paper, we propose a new method to evaluate the one-way deficit for a class of two-qubit states. The dynamic behavior of the one-way deficit under decoherence channel is investigated and it is shown that the one-way deficit of the X states with five parameters is more robust against the decoherence than the entanglement.

Maximal Holevo quantity based on weak measurements

The Holevo bound is a keystone in many applications of quantum information theory. We propose "weak maximal Holevo quantity" with weak measurements as the generalization of the standard Holevo quantity which is defined as the optimal projective measurements. The scenarios that weak measurements is necessary are that only the weak measurements can be performed because for example the system is macroscopic or that one intentionally tries to do so such that the disturbance on the measured system can be controlled for example in quantum key distribution protocols. We evaluate systematically the weak maximal Holevo quantity for Bell-diagonal states and find a series of results. Furthermore, we find that weak measurements can be realized by noise and project measurements.

Non-commutativity and Local Indistinguishability of Quantum States

We study the local indistinguishability problem of quantum states. By introducing an easily calculated quantity, non-commutativity, we present an criterion which is both necessary and sufficient for the local indistinguishability of a complete set of pure orthogonal product states. A constructive distinguishing procedure to obtain the concrete local measurements and classical communications is given. The non-commutativity of ensembles can be also used to characterize the quantumness for classical-quantum or quantum-classical correlated states.

Super-quantum correlation and geometry for Bell-diagonal states with weak measurements

We propose "super one-way deficit" by weak measurement as the generalization of one-way deficit defined for standard projective measurement. The super one-way deficit for Werner state is obtained analytically. We find that super one-way deficit is smaller than the standard one-way deficit, which contrasts with a straightforward expectation based on the known fact that super-quantum discord by weak measurement is always larger than the quantum discord defined by projective measurement. On the other hand, by tuning the weak measurement continuously to the projective measurement, both super one-way deficit and super-quantum discord converge to the same value, which is either the one-way deficit or the quantum discord both quantifying quantum correlation. In this sense, weak measurement does not necessarily capture more quantumness of correlations. We also give the geometry of super- quantum discord of the Bell-diagonal states with explicit geometrical figures. As an application, the dynamic behavior of super- quantum correlation including super-quantum discord and super one-way deficit under decoherence is investigated. We find that the order relation of the super-quantum correlation and the quantum correlation keep unchanged under the phase flipping channel for the Bell-diagonal states and the Werner states.

One-way deficit of SU(2) invariant states

We calculate analytically the one-way deficit for systems consisting spin-$j$ and spin-${1}{2}$ subsystems with SU(2) symmetry. Comparing our results with the quantum discord of SU(2) invariant states, we show that the one-way deficit is equal to the quantum discord for half-integer $j$, and is larger than the quantum discord for integer $j$. Moreover, we also compare the one-way deficit with entanglement of formation. The quantum entanglement tends to zero as $j$ increases, while the one-way deficit can remain significantly large.

The One-Way Information Deficit and Geometry for a Class of Two-qubit States

The work deficit, as introduced by Jonathan Oppenheim \emph{et al}[Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{89}, 180402 (2002)] is a good measure of the quantum correlations in a state and provides a new standpoint for understanding quantum non-locality. In this paper, we analytically evaluate the one-way information deficit (OWID) for the Bell-diagonal states and a class of two-qubit states and further give the geometry picture for OWID. The dynamic behavior of the OWID under decoherence channel is investigated and it is shown that the OWID of some classes of $X$ states is more robust against the decoherence than the entanglement.
