Narrative Knowledge Weaver: Narrative-Centric Retrieval-Augmented Reasoning for Long-Form Text Understanding

Long-form narrative QA requires reasoning over evolving story worlds rather than isolated passages: answers may depend on earlier goals, changing character states, social relations, causal triggers, temporal position, and later consequences. Existing retrieval and graph-augmented generation methods improve evidence access, but their units--chunks, entities, relations, summaries, or tool actions--do not directly encode how evidence functions in a story. We introduce Narrative Knowledge Weaver(NKW), a source-grounded framework that aligns textual evidence, atomic facts, canonical graph structure, entity profiles, interactions, episodes, and storylines. At query time, NKW uses text, graph, and narrative tools with post-retrieval reading skills to assemble evidence and audit actor, scope, polarity, state, and temporal constraints. Across STAGE, FairytaleQA, and QuALITY, NKW is strongest on screenplay-level story-world QA while remaining competitive on more passage-centered benchmarks. Ablations, question-type analyses, graph-asset statistics, and case studies show complementary benefits for character, scene, temporal, causal, and narrative-progression reasoning.

InterDyad: Interactive Dyadic Speech-to-Video Generation by Querying Intermediate Visual Guidance

Despite progress in speech-to-video synthesis, existing methods often struggle to capture cross-individual dependencies and provide fine-grained control over reactive behaviors in dyadic settings. To address these challenges, we propose InterDyad, a framework that enables naturalistic interactive dynamics synthesis via querying structural motion guidance. Specifically, we first design an Interactivity Injector that achieves video reenactment based on identity-agnostic motion priors extracted from reference videos. Building upon this, we introduce a MetaQuery-based modality alignment mechanism to bridge the gap between conversational audio and these motion priors. By leveraging a Multimodal Large Language Model (MLLM), our framework is able to distill linguistic intent from audio to dictate the precise timing and appropriateness of reactions. To further improve lip-sync quality under extreme head poses, we propose Role-aware Dyadic Gaussian Guidance (RoDG) for enhanced lip-synchronization and spatial consistency. Finally, we introduce a dedicated evaluation suite with novelly designed metrics to quantify dyadic interaction. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that InterDyad significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods in producing natural and contextually grounded two-person interactions. STAGE: A Full-Screenplay Benchmark for Reasoning over Evolving Stories

Movie screenplays are a demanding testbed for long-form narrative understanding, as characters' goals, beliefs, knowledge, and relationships evolve continuously across scenes. However, existing benchmarks primarily evaluate isolated facts from the completed screenplay, leaving unassessed whether models can track the evolving state of characters as the story unfolds. We introduce STAGE, a benchmark over 151 English and Chinese full-length screenplays, built on a provenance-linked narrative backbone that recovers the state and epistemic access of each character at every point along its timeline. Three tasks derived from the backbone jointly probe whether models can maintain, explain, and act on evolving narrative state: Character Development Tracking updates a focal character's state between checkpoints, Cross-Scene Narrative Evolution Reasoning targets cross-scene state transitions, and In-Script Character Role-Playing requires responses bounded by the character's state and knowledge at a specified point. We identify three failure modes of current LLMs: silent forgetting under recursive state updating, limited cross-scene reasoning even when all relevant evidence is supplied, and a trade-off in role-playing where stylistic character fidelity and screenplay-grounded memory faithfulness are optimized by different memory-access strategies. STAGE thus provides a unified framework for diagnosing how current models fail to track, reason about, and enact story evolution.

An accelerator scenario for hard X-ray free electron laser joint with high energy electron radiography

In order to study the dynamic response of the material and the physical mechanism of the fluid dynamics, an accelerator scenario which can be applied to hard X-ray free electron laser and high energy electron radiography was proposed. This accelerator is mainly composed of a 12GeV linac, an undulator branch and an eRad beamline. In order to characterize sample's dynamic behavior in situ and real-time with XFEL and eRad simultaneously, the linac should be capable of accelerating the two kinds of beam within the same operation mode. Combining with in-vacuum and tapering techniques, the undulator branch can produce more than 1E11 photons per pulse in 0.1 precent bandwidth at 42keV. Finally, the eRad amplifying beamline with 1:10 ratio was proposed as an important complementary tool for the wider view field and density identification ability.

First experimental research of low energy proton radiography

Proton radiography is a new scatheless diagnostic tool, and which provides a potential development direction for advanced hydrotesting. Recently a low energy proton radiography system has been developed at CAEP. This system has been designed to use 11MeV proton beam to radiograph thin static objects. This system consists of a proton cyclotron coupled to an imaging beamline. The design features and commissioning results of this radiography system are presented.
