Loop cluster on the discrete circle

The loop clusters of a Poissonian ensemble of Markov loops on a finite or countable graph have been studied in \cite{Markovian-loop-clusters-on-graphs}. In the present article, we study the loop clusters associated with a rotation invariant nearest neighbor walk on the discrete circle $G^{(n)}$ with $n$ vertices. We prove a convergence result of the loop clusters on $G^{(n)}$, as $n\rightarrow\infty$, under suitable condition of the parameters. These parameters are chosen in such a way that the rotation invariant nearest neighbor walk on $G^{(n)}$, as $n\rightarrow\infty$, converges to a Brownian motion on circle $\mathbb{S}^{1}=\mathbb{R}/\mathbb{Z}$ with certain drift and killing rate. In the final section, we show that several limit results are predicted by Brownian loop-soup on $\mathbb{S}^{1}$.

Phase transition in loop percolation

We are interested in the clusters formed by a Poisson ensemble of Markovian loops on infinite graphs. This model was introduced and studied in [LeJ12] and [LL12]. It is a model with long range correlations with two parameters $α$ and $κ$. The non-negative parameter $α$ measures the amount of loops, and $κ$ plays the role of killing on vertices penalizing ($κ>0$) or favoring ($κ<0$) appearance of large loops. It was shown in [LL12] that for any fixed $κ$ and large enough $α$, there exists an infinite cluster in the loop percolation on $\mathbb{Z}^d$. In the present article, we show a non-trivial phase transition on the integer lattice $\mathbb{Z}^d$ ($d\geq 3$) for $κ=0$. More precisely, we show that there is no loop percolation for $κ=0$ and $α$ small enough. Interestingly, we observe a critical like behavior on the whole sub-critical domain of $α$, namely, for $κ=0$ and any sub-critical value of $α$, the probability of one-arm event decays at most polynomially. For $d\geq 5$, we prove that there exists a non-trivial threshold for the finiteness of the expected cluster size. For $α$ below this threshold, we calculate, up to a constant factor, the decay of the probability of one-arm event, two point function, and the tail distribution of the cluster size. These rates are comparable with the ones obtained from a single large loop and only depend on the dimension. For $d=3$ or $4$, we give better lower bounds on the decay of the probability of one-arm event, which show importance of small loops for long connections. In addition, we show that the one-arm exponent in dimension $3$ depends on the intensity $α$. [LeJ12] Y. Le Jan, Amas de lacets markoviens, C. R. Math. Acad. Sci. Paris 350 (2012), no.13-14, 643-646. Markov loops in discrete spaces

The main topic of these notes are Markov loops, studied in the context of continuous time Markov chains on discrete state spaces. We refer to [1] and [2] for the short "history" of the subject. In contrast with these references, symmetry is not assumed, and more attention is given to the infinite case. All results are presented in terms of the semigroup generator. In comparison with [1], some delicate proofs are given in more details or with a better method. We focus mostly on properties of the (multi)occupation field but also included some results about loop clusters (see [3] in the symmetric context) and spanning trees. Multi-occupation field generates the Borel-sigma-field of loops

In this article, we consider the space of càdlàg loops on a Polish space $S$. The loop space can be equipped with a ``Skorokhod'' metric. Moreover, it is Polish under this metric. Our main result is to prove that the Borel-$σ$-field on the space of loops is generated by a class of loop functionals: the multi-occupation field. This result generalizes the result in the discrete case, see \cite{loop}.
